Best Scorched Poems
You scorched my heart.
In small corners laughter lives
light phrases that dance through
dark
places
illuminated
candles
oh how
you shake
foundations,
feebly protected
Your voice dances through
my dazed thoughts
hazed vision, with your eyes:
glimmers
mischievous
marbles
bicoloured
forever etched
amid little wrinkles, silvery spun
in a web of evermoving mystery
The tips of my fingers know
your skin ticklish giggled
Oh how you stamped
small
imprinted
signatures,
everywhere
permanently

I can feel this heartbeat, gentle rhythm deep
under my feet, I can feel the blood seep…
I keep it clean, I can feel the scorched earth weep,
what have we done Dear God, this earth reeks…
are the Kings playing for the throne
as the destruction is nigh, the media alight
I can feel this misplace holy war
the suicidal tirade of adolescent apes...
Burning tribes living in turmoil
long are the days on this fleeting earth
the righteous are holy in immaculate rebirth
only to find a cinder of ash, cold at last
A faltering distant earth, holy are days
scorched burnt black, as attrition’s warfare
breaks this crust of a lost infinite earth...
I can feel it’s heartbeat, gentle rhythm creep
inside my mind, I can feel the blood weep…
I keep my thoughts intact
I can hear this scorched earth seep,
what have we done Dear God, this earth is bleak…
An Orange King is enthroned, as the destruction is nigh
I can feel this misplace holy war the suicidal, high.
I see the expanse now,
I see the expense now,
How we expand now,
The sun never sets on Empire,
Pitted, packed dry-cake gully
Sere, stolid waiting the return
Of precipitation
The dearth of rain
Brings Earth her pain
until
The dead creeks rejuvenation,
There’s anticipation of CROAKS, HUMS,
TWEETS, CHIRPS,
That never come,
Reign in your expectations
of
Rain, a bringer of Nature’s exaltations,
But all I see is dry death,
little animals hunt for oil,
there’s parched soil,
that cracks and crunches,
from rock to metal back to rust,
silt motes form massive walls of dust,
As brawling winds blow squalls,
I see the future,
My eyes set fire to it all
Many scars thru this journey
I'm just trying to be free
Many lessons learned poorly
Have shaped the worlds view of me
I have never claimed perfection
And my flaws are mine alone to bear
Many have disowned me
Many just don't care
I feel the burning in my soul
Some memories are a curse
Will I be judged by those who hate me
Or will it be Something worse
This heart no longer has the room
To house the wounds upon my soul
I'm left on my knees begging God
To come and make me whole
Forgiveness is a true healer
When on others you bestow
But you must also learn to forgive yourself
For the healing in your soul
Days fill
silhouettes
shadow figures
windowless skyscrapers
scorched rust
Without a fire in winter months, I trust
my lips, if pressed upon your cheek, could chill
the blood. But as our eyes meet and combust,
my kiss will burn a path, ignite a thrill
to scorch your skin with passion blazing long.
As suitors meet and nerve ends rage with fire,
as dreams are built on hope for love of strong
en-kindled touch and couched in hot desire;
yet, errant eyes and restless hearts erase
the joy which once proclaimed the torch aflame,
and vows arrayed in charred and shameful face
now lie reduced to ash with none to blame.
And though the lovers taste white-hot despair,
each one feels caught in tempter's evil snare.
I take in a sunny day is like a tiny season, reading a bedtime story, while tucking the sky, lifting holy cover out of the heaven sky, angels sowed throughout the quilts, a scorch warming beams down, a blazing substantial temperature over the earth's ground.

Scorched Valentine
Lo, behold those cheeks
Beside thee, dear, roses pale
Red, red, oh so red!
Found you, love, when day was done
Gone to sleep ‘neath mountain sun

Your raging hot poems are so very nice.
To prevent eye damage and not pay the price.
I have to use "shades" if read more than twice.
The screen starts to smoking, when I click up your work.
And when I start drooling, I feel like a jerk.
But I keep on reading to get more of a perk.
Your poems are so hot, but they're done in great taste.
You say all the right words, with never a waste.
And I'm always turned on in exceeding great haste.
Not only hot poems, but others you write.
Tributes, Acrostics, and free verse on this site.
You're a poet extraordiniare, and with honor and might.
*Whoever this describes, then this poem is for you!!! lol
Murder Hornets do not linger
When they sting you with their stinger
The GOP claim
They have the best aim
When hoisting their middle finger
You tempted and played with fire..
You were warned you would get burnt.
Now your scars are a constant reminder..
Of the lessons that you learnt.
You were fooled by your hearts desire..
Said you were somewhere that you weren't.
And chose to betray a friendship..
And to this I have now learnt.
You are now branded as a liar..
You can not extinguish the flames.
So stop trying to play the victim..
A permanent scorch against your name..
The first time I forgave you..
Your apology I thought was true..
But it's no accident the next time..
Your intent was to lie and construe.
Exposure is your punishment.
For all the world to see..
That you're not one to ever be trusted..
And you're are not one to ever beleive.
I'd like to really wish you well..
But that would be telling a lie.
I'm filled with so much hatred..
And for that I hope you die!
The tinsel moon you gleamed in cradle of argentine night
On wings of ornate cloud I tried to embrace you
But you ambled through the silky sky I called mine
A turquoise trail you carved in my heart you knew
I could discern my love glow with touch of moondust
At the edge of the departing night thunder clouds surged.
The pale moon you faded in the abyss of dark night
With the flanges of amorphous cloud I distanced you
But you welded with the jagged sky you called yours
You didn’t realize no crystal path you paved to my heart
My insipid love lost unperceived the touch of moondust
As the core of the arriving night thunder clouds wrapped.
Scorched eyes on you,
burned by the sound of your promise;
Never again in your abyss;
You speak and it is right on cue
but what I see is what you do;
It’s a whole lot of hit or miss;
Scorched eyes on you;
Case and the truth you will accrue,
there is nothing you can dismiss;
Stay quiet but I’d be remiss
to ignore each and every clue;
Scorched eyes on you.
Yesterday
I cried my heart out
For I wept tears of glass
To lay a path for you to walk on
Barefoot on the hot pavement
naked as I bleed
In the hopes that you won’t taste my fear
Teeming with anger and hatred
As I stood with a clenched fist.
hot coals in my palm
Ready to unfurl
Shoulders hunched, grasping at embers.
My hands exposed me.
Today
I write with the temperament
Of a subdued bull
As you taunt and prod
Waiting for me to charge
my heart aflame like molten lava
My eyes burning with fire
Shooting darts of laser beams
My lips are parted
but no words escaped
My voice betrayed me.
Tomorrow
I will walk in splendor
Of a thousand suns
Simultaneously rising
In dazzling radiance
I will set the heavens ablaze
And you will be drawn
Just like a moth to a flame
Not looking back, not asking why
Your eyes deceived you
For my heat no longer warms
Instead it burns
Not the kind that cauterizes and effaces
But the one that engulfs and consumes
Like butter on blow torch
Your perception beguiled you
For I am Venus
As you watch me lay motionless
you wonder what goes up and down
but does not move? My temperature.
As I bask in my ring of fire
Feel my scorching heat
As I exact my revenge
and singe your wings of desire
It is too late,
I show no mercy
As my soul deserted me.
