Scorched Soul

Many scars thru this journey
I'm just trying to be free
Many lessons learned poorly
Have shaped the worlds view of me
I have never claimed perfection
And my flaws are mine alone to bear
Many have disowned me
Many just don't care
I feel the burning in my soul
Some memories are a curse
Will I be judged by those who hate me
Or will it be Something worse
This heart no longer has the room
To house the wounds upon my soul
I'm left on my knees begging God
To come and make me whole
Forgiveness is a true healer
When on others you bestow
But you must also learn to forgive yourself
For the healing in your soul

We have learnt lives lessons the hard way, the wrong way and sometimes in the most chaotic way and we have been stronger. Yes a lot people pretend to care and there are lot of things to forgive. I also need to forgive myself for the people that have hurt me, it's a great start, hard but should be worth it. This is a great piece, I felt every word and feeling. Cheers Carl.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
