This Masqurade - a Leon Russell Tribute

Ivory pieces transcending space and time
where the words just got in the way
lost inside the smoke of just another day

A song for you deep from a sensitive mind
reaching for a reaction for actions done wrong
forgiveness sung for a special friend of mine

When the dew drops no longer shine for me
and a hard rain begins to fall
they'll be no visitors after midnight
but I'll still be calling your name

We were all alone and I was
singing this song only for you!!

Whats going on with Russell Brand? Over six million
Followers have penchant, he was once a man i did
Not admire..Yet over two years it has transpired Brand
Has burnt a brand, a searing line through mainstream
Medias fervid minds, though they'll rant and pant and
Roll the dice..Its not about whether Brant is nice.'
We know his past of women and wild, nights and drugs
And other vice.' Yet then no problems all was well, of no
Rape assertions did the media tell, no police statements
No interest true.' So like Julian Asange whats the real
To-do.? There's lots about Letby and some hospital dead?
Babies sadly we've read thats mainstream, covered.' They've
 fired
Real heavy lead.'
And yet the number of wounded and dead, from jabbing
With m n r a..? Well they've seldom said.' Its mainly the
Green gods agenda they speil.' They feed out a line to
The people and then they reel' not as in real! You may
Understand, and genocide is just a word.' Do they have
It banned.? Not among the balanced sensible folk but
Among the zany, menageri of the most uncouth woke.'

Romantic emotions, the strongest human feelings
Are those that I love to have sweet dealings

To love is to have someone special in your heart
Knowing that your love will never fall apart

A companion, one who you can always depend
Where love exists, it’s what you both will send

There we are, both under a beautiful moonlit sky
A gesture of love between us, that will never die

Before us is the moon, and a blanket of shining stars
I know that you won’t leave me, nor go very far

This is so awesome I am literally blinded with tears
We will be together, holding each other through the years

Building blocks can fall, but we stand together
No matter the storms, or the nasty weather

We cannot paint the world in gold and glitter
But we can take away all that is sour and bitter

Together we will share love, joy, hope, and fear
And we can delve into romance, which we hold dear

There’s nothing in the universe that can compare to our love
We are the epitome of romantic gestures, what everyone speaks of

We will forever be two of a kind, with our romance
Forever, is the term, you always keep me in a trance

I love poetry
I’m quite a loveable man
I do enjoy simple walks
I’m gaining knowledge
My family does come first
I love my sleek computer

I’m kind, enjoyable, full of feelings
I wear my heart on my sleeve
I’m a great friend to have

I enjoy good games
I love teriyaki steaks
I like my roses

To enter my heart, you must first love it

Premium Member On First Reading Euclid, Young Bertrand Russell Is Forever Transformed By Mathematics

“Is 'Mathematics...not only [a] Truth,
but [a] supreme beauty—a beauty cold
and austere, like that of sculpture [uncouth
to men for whom this concept is too bold],
without appeal to any part of our weaker nature,
without the gorgeous trappings of painting
or music, yet [is still more] sublimely pure,
and capable of a stern [un-feinting]
perfection such as only the greatest art
can show?'” So, thus geometrized Euclid
(to Russell's youthful mind and fervent heart),
and taught,—by a draped, stone caryatid
at the Library of Alexandria;
from whence “The Elements” spread without lemma!

The Jack Russell Terrier

A packet of fizz the Jack Russell
Full of dashing and daring and bustle
With engine on race
And the world left to chase
Any wonder he makes such a fussle?

Russell Whitesell

The story of a flyer who was lifted higher. How one of Howard Hughes' personal pilots became an Episcopal minister after a life-altering, life-shattering night in a hotel room. He then became a personal adviser to kings, presidents and other celebrities after his soul-awakening. Learn what he learned in the process and meet those he met; it may change your life!

Russell Brand

Ravishing and randy,
Utterly stupendous,
Sexy and sassy,
Silly and fussy,
Eye catching sense of fashion,
Lovable rogue,
Ladies man,
Branded irresistible,
Russell the unmissable,
Anchor to all his friends,
Noticeable sparkle in his eye,
Don't be silly it's a fly!!!

what you could not
disguise
if you tried

NOTE:
Strong writers evoke emotion, thought, and change from humanity. Russel is a powerful poet who wears a big heart on his sleeve. I do not know him personally, yet am moved by his pen. *High regards, and recommendations on his work. This small ode to his words was originally placed into a comment I had made to him. I felt it was best for others to see how his work moves me. There are a few writers on here who possess the gift. I thank each and every one of you for sharing your soul! ~DOMO ARIGATO ~JSLambert

Hannah Russell

It was Hannah’s young dream to win golds,
At Paralympics because she was born blind,
So she races in the visually impaired class,
S12 along with many other blind swimmers.

Both Hannah’s parents are sporty and athletic,
So they wanted Hannah to participate in sport,
So they all chose swimming having no focus,
No balls, no team mates, others to focus on.

Hannah loved it, and after seeing Simmonds,
Swimming at the Beijing Paralympics in 2008,
She asked her parents if she could swap clubs,
‘Cos she wanted to take the risk, do more hours.

At the 2012 London Games Hannah won thrice,
A silver for the 400m freestyle, bronze for back,
And another bronze for the 100m S12 butterfly.
In the 2013 Worlds she took 3 silvers, 1 bronze.

In 2015 at the Worlds again, this time in Glasgow,
Hannah sealed 1 gold medal in the 50m freestyle,
And another silver 100m freestyle, so in Portugal,
At the Euros 2016, she won one of each medal.

In Rio she took the gold for the 100m backstroke,
In a time of 1:06.06, 6 seconds faster than Matio;
She trains, exercises in Woking Swimming Club,
And studies sports science at Salford University.

When my books begin to sell.
From, ‘feedaread,’ where they dwell!
And I’m as rich as blinking well…
You know, rolling in that thing called money.
With figures in front of those zeros,
so the balance is not funny.
Do you know the first thing I must buy?
It’s a house by the sea for the wife and I!
Then, after helping the family and things like that.
Do you know what I would do?
Well read on and I will tell you.
I would look at charities.
That closed their doors, to those in need.
That helped the sick in mind or lame.
Those by themselves who have problems, within their life, it to maintain.
Help those homeless as well.
If only my bank account would swell.
Alas, until that I cannot do.

And that is all down to you!

As you have none of my books, you know.
Not one is in your bookcase so.
I will now tell you what to do.
Visit, ‘feedaread,’ that’s spelt right too.
Look for Stanley Russell Harris. That's me.
Then for. ‘Poems. Some happy, some sad, some to make you glad.’
Ten books of poetry there do be!
The adventures of, ‘Smarty a search and rescue dog.’
Many books his adventures do hog.
Then there is, ‘Smarty the Future 2061.’
His secrets here I cannot tell of one.
As that might ruin your enjoyable fun!
Anyway that's a trilogy
So you might have to buy books all three!
‘Short animal and bird tails (tales, Dragon tales.) Is what I said.’
Of course the first book I did write.
Was, ‘A patient from Papworth, yes that’s right.’
How the NHS saved my life no less.
Got me out of a hell of a mess.
So now you know the books I did write.
Spread the words to your friends tonight.
Okay, it can be in the day.
So please get your fingers clicking right away.
And let’s see who’s next, we’ll help one day.
And on this subject, that’s all for now I will say.
I’ll save the rest for another day, lol .

Russell Pens For All

The greedy should not go,
Should not go to poetry parlour
Where words are intoxicating
Like ethanol in the vein.

There ritzy rhythms rival rhythms
In thrilling forms and fancies
Like wares for christmas sales
Arresting patrons’ attention with charm.

He that is greedy stay clear
Lest you suffer constipation
Only the contented can survive
The temptation of poetry parlour

He is just a super cook
Whose dishes often taste candy
His recipe measures to satiate
Burger king in the house.

To everyone he has the taste
His page provides for old and young
Who does not know here
That Russell pens for all ?

Alladin By James Russell Lowell

when i was a beggarly boy and lived in a cellar damp,
i had not a friend nor toy, but i had aladin's lamp.

when i could not sleep for cold, i had fire enough in my brain
and builded with roofs of gold, my beautiful castles in spain.

since then i have toiled day and night, i have money and power good store
but i'd give all my lamps of silver bright, for the one that is mine no more.

take fortune, whatever you choose, you gave and may snatch again,
i have nothing t'would pain me to lose, for i own no more castles in spain.

I feel that he is talking about youth. carmine

Russell

Whenever I see your smiling face
I think of God's wonderful grace
You shower me with love
that you receive from above
You are a unique angel
and a blessing to my life
You have a heart of gold
That I will always hold
