Train Up a Child ...

“They’re taking away our freedom!”
So, many people say.
“They took the Bible out of school;
Our kids are not allowed to pray!”

“The pledge of allegiance they have banned
Because it mentions God.
The Ten Commandments are taboo
Upon the campus sod.”

But, before such rulings of the Court,
Back in the “good old days”,
Did we really read God’s book in school?
And how often did we pray?

Do you teach your kids to pray each night,
Before they go to bed?
When school is out, and they are home,
Do they hear the Bible read?

Train up your children, after school,
And before each school day starts--
What you teach your kids at home
Is what they’ll cherish in their hearts.

COLOURFUL LAMENT

I combed cool waters of your baby blue
crystalline Jewel as you waded waterfall
waves washing my stellar rainbow rays
arching it melted into the warm womb
of transducing tangoing Earth

Her Violet Flame devoured us both
as nectared dewdrops to fuel the fire
our soma swirling into ecstatic orange
oxytocined crane flowers whispering
wisdoms to a hundred yellow butterflies
fluttering and flirting

They circled a sunken Atlantean apex
atop where you ruled anew with Baconian
brown locks surrounded by sirens serving
savoury silver sardines, oolite oyster shells
sang solos as dolphins dived, oceanic mouthed

In Ancient Egypt you followed my runcinate
rulings or indigo sorrow siglums, sighing
becoming slimmed seeker who served
Thoth well whilst wreathing my wounded
worthiness and fallow fallopian tubes
at pyramidal plumed midnight hour

In our Grecian lifetime you draped alabaster
urns lighting my marble mantelpiece
I watched breath enter your nebulae nostrils
as you crafted provincial proverbs instructing
slaves to whiten your garb with lemons from
our sculpted garden

On lavender Celtic hills we exchanged kilts
not knowing whose waist was whose
barefoot we flaunted sleek sharp sapphire
studded swords dancing necessary wild wars

Who remembered and who forgot
where in ether our nestling niche napped
as games of betrayal, fear or doubt
doubled into involuting circles and spirals
each tried to neck THE VOID as naked
excuse for not excavating heaving Heart

How much escaping, escapades, evolutionary
clocks cloak our cusps or cues or custard
synchronicities
how many summer summit starlings must
seek to sing of sorrow or of wolves, withering
willows, watermelons on this Planet of
coloured curriculums
holding dear our distinctive designs where
lacy lament is but another aperture into Space

I seek not to know !

Blind Justice

They say we are free
yet the laws are governed by hypocrisy
doctrines by decree
dictating to you and me

Justice is blind
and the gavel comes down
hidden in plain sight is
the criminal justice system

such a fine line
policy and law designed to protect you
that's what they have you believe
Stand knell plea bargain deal

The lies of our military
and the contempt of our president
by the swipe of a pen high jacked into ruin

computers media money and threats
Hypocrites that contradict
spoken words without meaning
Do as I say and not as you want

Bewildered are its people
speechless on both grounds
he says we'll get these terrorists
standing smug and proud

Staunch believer my way is the only way
Violates USA treaty
Destabilizes our economy
inflates the pump

world leaders taking a stance
the arms race again taking face
3rd world leaders are painted evil
hidden agendas and secret court rulings

Political arrogance
the image they portray
using the illusion of media
to trick and sway
to gain your trust, to make you believe
in their ideology
They speak of change
they want to work for you and me

so they go on tour to raise money to preach
to visit a state they analyze a sheet
it shows favorbility places they dont call you a liar, **** or a cheat

but in the end your vote doesn't count
a judge ruled it he signed it into law
King George lives again today
holding in his hand a dagger behind his back
I'll kill all those that get in my way.
I am the Sovereign rule I am the Sovereign law.

While My Pen Is Free

While my pen is free, I will write!
I will transpire words of truth on paper white with
Pen dipped from heart's crimson flow.
And what shall I write?
"Roses are red, violets are blue"?
My youthful "love" poetry is now far spent!
Maturity has now taken over.
What then shall I write?
What of social injustice:
Yesterday's "-ites" cloaked in today's "-isms"?
Shall I write of poverty and shame,
Oppression and tyranny's rule,
Enslavement, imprisonment, and
Murder en masse?
History is once again repeating itself!
Evil rulers and justices: "Tyrants" all,
Are sitting high and lofty,
Calling evil "good" and good "evil",
Demoralizing, demonizing,
Passing laws and rulings
Contrary to the Laws of G-D,
Vilifying and slaughtering en masse
Christians and Jews,
Babies, the elderly, and the handicapped
Throughout the world,
And without a public outcry.
And all those who stand in the way of their "agenda",
Political dissidents from all walks of life,
Are either silenced or removed.
"A 'One World' Order!" They say.
In their supremacy, they desire
To brainwash and indoctrinate the "leftovers",
Like refuse discarded.
Shall I remain silent when I, in the past,
Wondered how the Holocaust was allowed
By countless many who hid in silence
For fear of reprisal?
No! I shall mercilessly speak out
Against all inhumanity metered out
By evil tyrants' blows!
Go far from me if you seek half truths!
Go far from me if you desire
To hear words that tickle the ears!
For you shall find no such words written
Within the pages of my heart.
I shall not lull you to sleep
With comforting words!
What choice do you have?
What choice do I have?
The sinister walls of delusion
Have to be destroyed!
While my pen is free, I will write
And I will speak!
For I have found a voice
That has finally found its platform.

Dissolute December 1

Dissolute December

As far as the dissolute December went
And beyond , went the waywardness of minds
And the apostate April at last did end
The real- time revelries sometimes feigned.
Letting the reins drop and resting all bother
And clicking away till the parting of ways
In the thick of things , with one thing or the other
The reasoning remained stupid anyways
Depressed , texted; and devastated, e-mailed
The status quo still stood so starkly severed
Malware still ruled the failings soulfully rued
In the wake of rulings, rash, virus, fresh, brewed.
Booting up senses to download life once more
Gadgets of head were restored as never before.

Premium Member Justice Is Blind

The distinguished judge sat on the bench for many, many years.
He was highly esteemed and loved by his associates and his peers.
With great dignity he donned the robe of his honorable profession,
And with clarity and common sense made his rulings at each session.

The challenge of the law since a young attorney was his passion.
For those washed up on perilous shoals, he had great compassion.
Nervous young lawyers were blessed to have him hear their case.
He treated them with ego-boosting dignity and abundant grace.

An unpretentious county judge was all he ever aspired to be,
Upholding his solemn oath to serve the people of his community.
Dispensing justice fairly to the rich and penniless as well,
Interpreting the law as he saw it and in this he did excel!

He scrupulously observed the Constitution and the tenets it decreed,
And espoused The Golden Rule as a way to fully succeed.
He cautioned youngsters of the challenging life that lay ahead,
And to learn from mistakes and pursue productive lives instead.

His long-time and ever faithful Bailiff saw to his every need,
Taking care of all details no matter how small the deed.
Blind justice was a vision in his mind as he balanced the scale.
You see, the judge was legally blind, working with the aid of braille!

Premium Member A Few Lines Straight From My Heart

I'm no legal expert, I'm the first to say
Nor do I live in Israel, though I'm a citizen anyway
But it's hard to watch a proposal tear my country apart
So I'll write a few lines here, straight from my gut and my heart

What if Congress could overrule the US Supreme Court's every decision
It seems a surefire path toward unprecedented division
Imagine Roe vs. Wade subject to Congressional wrangling and supervision
The resultant laws, a recipe for chaos, scorn and derision *

So, that parallels what's been proposed in Israel's judicial revisions **
~ likened to an axe making the finest of incisions

  __________________________________________________________
*With every change of power in Congress, (almost every election these
days), Roe vs. Wade would be revisited and redecided. Heaven help us!

**By a majority vote of Israel's Parliament (Knesset), Israeli Supreme
Court rulings could and would be overturned. (And with each shift in
the ruling majority's composition, a fresh round of overturning could
     and would begin).

Pauper Bow To King, King Bow To Pauper

There are times, when I the pauper, pretend that I am King.

Power uncontested have I, the master of everything.

Beloved by all my subjects who adore me from afar.

Festivals honoring this miracle me, my name etched in the stars.

Tailored cloths adorned with jewels to cover my royal hide.

A simple tear or pin prick drip and I toss them all outside.

The finest foods from around the world brought in each time I dine.

Fill the goblets of glowing gold with most luxurious wine.

My leisure is of royal command my joy by royal decree

Just think of it, a whole Kingdom thinking me High and Mighty.

A knock disturbs my nap one day in late afternoon.

Another ball in my honor at the next full moon.

Posing for another sculpture, another portrait commissioned.

This bard’s song of my good deeds, and that one’s new rendition.

My every day so busy now, my Kingdom must prepare,

Strong against our enemies, may they all beware.

I toil over strategies and rulings of my court.

Solving problems of those little people with whom I do not consort.

Into bed I fall asleep exhausted every night.

My advisers unrelentingly needing my ear at first light.

More battles to be won today new subjects fall in line.

Soon the entire world it seems might very well be mine.

The people they need food and drink, I must divide the lands.

The royal lists of would be Lords, all under my command.

Arguments continue on it seems they never end.

So many to bow before me and yet I’m without one friend.

Every decision a higher cost, nothing’s simple on this throne.

It has been near fifteen years since I had some time alone.

Slumping on my golden throne, lost in royal thought.

Sometimes when I am King I pretend that I am not.

Premium Member To Hate Hatred

Damn the tears shed for hate's sake each day
For they threaten to sponge this good world away

We jump to condemn all our fellow's disdain
Yet OUR acts and words are quite often the same

Human history is rife with our pushing aside
The folks we find "different" that we should abide

The color of our flesh and the shape of our eyes
Become standards we typecast and rationalize

Without giving thought to the lies that are spun
We hurt folks in ways that then can't be undone

Instead of comparing our skin and our face
We should see everybody as ONE human race

For unless we regard ALL contempt as the same
Hatred will bloom, with our prejudice to blame

So who do we charge with abolishing hate?
That soul in the mirror who governs our fate

We can vote to change rulings, legislation and laws
To quiet those people who make bias their cause

Do our best to identify hate and its guises
Combat it with love, and make no compromises

Learn to see "difference" as something that's good
Preach kindness and tolerance, as we all should

And if we transform the contempt in our heart
At least we can say that we've made ... a good start.

De-Un

I'm not Deranged just Derailed,
Deraptured with the Devolution of Angels,
The Devilization of a Nation,
Decorum Demands that I Devalue individualism,
Some Decadent, Dilenquent, Despot shouts
"Our hair must be black!"
"Our hair must be pink!"
Displaying our inner inability, denial to think, for ourselves,
And this juvenile notion,
Will take a while floatin,
While we stand smile gloatin,
With a clan of vile showthings,
Definately stupid,
Definately wrong,
Definately Deafening with our Different songs,
Decensored & Desensitized,
In a De-axised world normality is now abnormal.
We Delve Deep into Different ways to Display our Desperate Demonstrations of self,
A country of Deadbeats with credit card debt to nike,
A thousand like you,
A thousand like me,
Wave goodbye to individuality,

In matching gloves.

Surely we see?
This rebellious Unity?
Unlikely.
If we're all SO different,
We're all the same,
Any other interpretation would be insane,
A United Unhindered generation of Undertakers,
Caring for rebellions now defunct,
Just wearing a mohawk does not make one a punk,
Find your own voice,
One that's unforced,
One that's your choice,
One that's your course,
Unfullfilled with an Unfullfilling Universe we Unwittingly Unite in Uniform,
Untying one set of bonds to Undertake another,
Only now pledging Undying allegiance to Unwritten social rulings,
Seclusion is the only Untainted place where one can Understand, Uninfluenced self,
Under supervision only Unlife and Unself exist.

Bright Pink sheep.

I Can'T Breathe

I can't breathe because I'm being drowned by my own tears
Afraid for my present that I can't even think about the future
I'm feeling more and more lost because slowly my hope is being lost
How can you tell me that all men are equal when one one can get away with murder and the other is still fighting to be seen in a better light
Why should I feel bad about the color of my skin, why should I have to regret the family I was born in, why should I have to be afraid to let my father go anywhere alone because I'm afraid something might happen and he won't make it back all because his skin is black.
I can't breathe because I'm being smothered by injustice, by prejudices, but stereotypes, by judgements and comments,
They say it has to get worse before it gets better but how much worse can it get than this, and how much longer do I have to wait for the better instead of hearing it from others
How can you tell me my life matters when there are too many history facts, too many court rulings that scream out it doesn't
I can can see the rope around my neck that was placed there at birth tighten as I get older, this is what they use to keep us in check.
I can't breathe I scream but you only hear it as a whisper
God knows I love America but how much does it love me

Premium Member Never Judge

Never randomly judge someone who you have never even met
Such judgments tend to be mistaken theories often based on anxiety
then some times they end up being infuriating

Base not random judgments on fear but attitude because any one person
whom you think is trouble might turn out to have a stance which kills
your aimless rulings causing you regret

If for some unknown reason you must judge me even negatively
first ask me what my honest opinion is about something then base
your verdict on my answer and never forget what the Messiah said-
“Do not judge and you will not be judged.”

Premium Member Law

How have I loved your laws and decrees
and your Sun in the dawn of the morning
the orders that govern the universe
and their rulings the cosmos adorning

So finely tuned a precise instrument
it's crafting can no journeyman match
construction supreme no man has surpassed
nor it's equal can he ever attach

You have hidden their rules and movements
that a man could spend a lifetime to seek
but the years we're given have been shorted
and our will to regulation is weak

Its decrees are woven like fabric
on each writ does another rely
their sequence framed like a template
against its power can no man defy

Its display of symmetry exacting
it's direction none living can change
through its pursuit our knowledge deepens
but it's only simile can we arrange

Like flocks are the stars conducted
as their shepherds your laws do act
like the canon of statues their placement
their governing by decrees you enact

No man can act as its counselor
or rearrange its charge and command
for all that's demonstrated in nature
for all are subject to what law demands

By their study we learn how to measure
like a child the paths of all law
to investigate all time and reasons
of its operation we can all stand in awe

Premium Member What Happened

What happened to those days of old
when life was simple- tried to hold
a clearer grasp of right or wrong-
with outlined paths to move along?

Of goals created to live by
with aims to lift us up to fly
without restrictions to impede
the search for honor in each deed?

More complex now are blinding roads
that lead to choices with no codes;
old fashioned rulings cast away
by some who say they're in the way.

In days of old, more freedom rang;
for true, free speech and choice we sang.
Now backward steps reverse that course;
our Founding Fathers- in remorse.

If only we could merge the two-
fine yesterdays- some current, too;
entwine those best that feed the soul-
and keep our human spirit whole.
