Pollution Ruining the Environment

Our oceans and rivers, once so limpid,
have become huge dumps
for industries and sewages,
doesn't the stench make anyone sick?

Blame your inactive Congressman
for not halting the daily, illegal dumping;
do you propose an urgent ban,
or walk straight into the snare, not fretting?

Take a short walk on the beach at any hour; spot
golden trout, bluefish and shellfish dying from pollution,
writhing on the sand...this is their graveyard?
Are we an advanced civilization without any intuition?

Seabirds may be the lucky ones for instance,
to find easy food, but they might also be at risk
from the poison that's killing every kind of fish;
and how can people pass by them and still glance?

If I were running for Governor of my beautiful state,
I would stop this madness, although some may be outraged;
should I watch pollution ruin the environment and wait?
If corruption has prevailed, woe to anyone not heeding my word!

Thank You Satan For Ruining a Good Portion of My Life

I just want to thank the prince of darkness
For what he’s given me
Selfish dreams and ambitions
A twisted sense of being free

Thank you Satan
For all the times I partied hard
For all the times I got drunk and high
But when I got arrested, were you on standby?

Thank you Satan
You taught me to get wild in college and do what the frat brothers and sorority sisters said
Thank you for all those mornings, I woke up in a stranger’s bed

Thank you so much Satan
For all the fun and the sex
You told me “use a condom”
You told it didn’t matter who my partners were
I was ill prepared for what happened next

Satan I appreciate the way you made me a single mom
My daughter is precious
But the sad part is, I don’t whether my baby’s dad is Tony, Justin, or Tom
Wait a minute, hold up! Why the hell am I showing you appreciation? You told me lies and the only thing you really did for Satan was get me to the point that I was tired of feeling empty inside and living for temporary pleasure and permanent pain
So now, I live for Jesus, the one who healed the pain, forgave me for falling into your traps, and because of that I’m now born again.

The Ruining

You were "blood", & you had nowhere else to go.
You were the brother of my love, how could we tell you no?

We welcomed you in our home, you and your "escorting" hoe.
He even got you a job, as you stated "I won't let you down, bro".

But no good deed goes unpunished, our sentence was not even deferred.
An Instant hell, we fell and we fell, dwelling in the stench of one little demons turd.

My love, he lost his job, because, well Josh, YOU know EXACTLY why.
You ruined the life we worked so extremely hard for...you-the epitome of a big 'ole lie!

Our things were disappearing, but you, you thought you were so very, very sly.
On a golden pond of crescent stars, you were floating on a free moon pie...

My dress, my shirt, our conditioner and for God's sake, my deodorant too?
Was there anything else you forgot to take? Perhaps you'd prefer we send it to you?

My shirt jumped from my drawer, grew lil' feet and placed them on the floor...
Ran down the hall, scooping up my deodorant and into your bag they soared...

Your kitten, the one left in our yard, because of you, she'd almost died.
When we saw her deteriorating condition, it was enough to make one cry.

Poor little thing, you told us she would catch her own food outside.
One more being left in your wake, drowning in the storms from your tide...

Nine hundred dollars in fines, that's how much we paid to claim your kitten as our own.
Or the animal control would take her out of the misery of the only life she had ever known.

For a concerned neighbor, assuming we were responsible, was kind enough to phone,
and they were going to take her, & put her to sleep before she was ever even grown.

But I could not let that happen, even as now, we have not even paid our rent.
My love, because of you, he has no income, and we may all end up residing in a tent.

To think, one little brother could be responsible for these rapid, earth-shattering events,
leaving us a tumbling down alone, and for the next ruining, off you went!

This down-slope of destruction, on and on, has yet to slow for us...
disturbing hatred now swirls inside my belly as this journey has been so rough...

Now YOU have the nerve to question to US, while attempting unsuccessful to act so tough,
The ironic cherrybomb, our sweet icing on the cake, you ask, "HAVEN’T YOU DONE ENOUGH?"

Ruining My Weekend With Yours

You made me a promise-
then it broke.

You gave me your word-
of course you choked!

I shouldv'e seen all the signs-
you ripped my heart out, valentine.

I forgive you- as I should,
this is a VERY thin line you'll find.

Go about your business now,
Exploit my feelings like you do.

I've had enough,
I AM THROUGH!

Ruining Self Conscience

ruining self conscience
                                 inner sight's destruction sparks
                                       secret crimson smile

Premium Member The Toad is Ruining My Meal

Teensy tiny toad totally teeters on a goblet edge
In this prissy uppity restaurant! Screamed unappreciative Sedge.
The prices are outrageous! This toad is ruining my meal!
His blind date thought he was acting like a bit of a heel.

He wanted a refund, demanded the chef come their way.
His date, who had brought the toad, quickly ran out and away.
I guess I am the best gauge of character, the tiny toad said.
Yes, she agreed. I love it that you are always here for me, Ned.

Premium Member Ruining lives

Plastic.

To alter one’s image, appearance untrue.
Take control of one’s finance, or does it control you?

Container for substances, so varied, so many.
Buried in the earths crust - worth every penny?

Floating in the etha, microscopic to the eye.
Living in your brain mass, floating behind your eyes.

As common as daylight as soulless as dead space.
Infecting the water, in foods there’s its trace.

Perhaps it’s as human as you are or I?
Perhaps it’s our monster like Dr Frankenstein’s!
Well, we created it and rain brings it down from the sky.
We created a substance that never will die.

Bel Canto What's Ruining me What's Ruining Us

One's perspective
might be the precursor to his down fall
when it's all or nothing
he might end up
with know one at all
betrayal of ah lover
has real consequenses
a fool only loves someone
that he only misses
a celebration doesn't make you
a celebrity
I've found someone else
we're alone when it's just you and me
can't do that round here
everyone know's were married
they push us around snear
it's, get and gone; Ya'll hurry, hurry!
we sneak away to find romance
in romantic places
see people we know
we hide our selfs
or turn our faces

Divoice my wife
you divoice your husband
then we can be together
we been saying this
seems like forever
People tell us
they don't want us around
call us stupid said I was a clown
dark skies when they
come your way
find shelter
that's what people say
a combination of
activities and obligations
divided time and loyalties
stressed out don't wanna
make decisions
perching around like
a pigeon
lose my tread of thought
can't pay attention
you my wife
you my lover

Ruining of Society

Ruining Of Society
 Earthquakes are everywhere.
No one can be found here and there.
 A lawless society.
 With no authority.
 Vandalizing someone's property.
No care but to destroy the environment anyway.
 An era of decay.
 The world is going insane.
 Mankind above the law.
 Just like Babylon.
 The sins of the earth.
Burn down the flesh, remain in the dirt.
 A corrupt government.
 Everyone can see it.
 Many will suffer.
 The world is going under.
 Every man for himself.
 No food on the shelf.
 Centuries burning, what a shame.
 Nothing will ever change.
A holy war no one can see.
Stand by the cross, it’s all that I need
