Have you survived the storm ?
The hurricanes the hurricanes
no mercy do they show.
We ask eternal question
what have we done wrong
Don't blame yourselves,it's no ones fault
Nor punishment from God
Time and unforeseen occurance
I've learned be falls us all.
Prayers are the saving hope
Prayers for our souls.
He’s the master of limerick quirks!
He has charmed PS with witty smirks!
His wit, quite dry,
Hits a bullseye,
That is how Rico's wry mindset works!

If Souper One, or 2023, dislike Rico,
Please correct my notion: Rico made you smile
Even when you hated to smile or laugh
ThanX Rico for leaving your fingerprints here
More respectful than boot prints --
You tried to enjoy life, and people,
Even when people deserved less
Godspeed! I know you fought "mind control"

Dear Rico your Lim’s were one of a kind
In them you definitely spoke your mind
Your passing has me in tears
You brought us a-lot of cheers
Meeting you here was a treasured find
* I haven’t been that active on the Soup. I just found out “ our” dear friend and poet Rico has passed. We never met in person, but I truly feel like I lost a friend. I’m heartbroken and in tears. This my tribute to him in the form he excelled in.

The hunky man with tarzan zeal
had sexy buns made of steel
when he walked
the girls gawked
as they cried, Oh heh, can I feel ?
I’m a coqui frog from Puerto Rico.
Noisiest amphibian as you know.
I’m an inch long
With a mighty song.
My hundred decibel call scares a foe.

Poets love defines as does your photography
Screening feme fatal like it's a mammography
Blissful images erected
Virility unaffected
Observing what nature offers in demography
Hang loose Rico!

We'll surely miss having Rico around
For his Limerick's distinctly profound
He cheered us all up
At times made us blush
As Limerick King Rico earned his crown.
Rico you’re the Monarch of poet hearts
Loved for your talented creative art
We miss you so much
For your Midas touch
Always on top of the charts for a laugh.
Rico now that you are on Heavens floor
Surrounded by hallowed angels galore
Keep each one amused
And their souls enthused
Writing witty Limericks by the score.

In the darkness of the night
I see your star shine bright
I hear the cries of our people
trying to be seen as equal
I feel your resilient heart
being torn apart
the desperation, indignation, exasperation
They insult us with their words
their ignorance, unconcern, and condemnation
but despite it all, we shall rise
and never compromise
The pure hearts that we share
The proud people of this nation
We shall overcome despite their laceration
Horn Puerto Rico Haiku
All over Puerto Rico exists everywhere,
People who need our comfort and care;
Worry and fear,
There and here;
All they do have is sadness and despair.
Need things so their problem to be solved;
American military must become involved;
Them will greet;
Not suffer defeat;
With their efforts problems are resolved.
People in Puerto Rico are literally dying,
And caring for children who are crying;
Some seem starving;
Deep in health carving;
Will meet needs when we start supplying.

Take him through the colors
Amber, presence of God, fiery passion, wisdom,
and God’s anointing
Pink new life, Father’s heavenly care,
and Rose of Sharon
Silver, salvation and the Word of the Lord
Spirit close to home for these days
Soul will be freed to make its way
To the "Land of Ever Summer"
Fire is lit meanwhile to help guide his spirit

I’ll miss your presence, your signature Aloha
