Yet My Mind Holds Invincible Summer Hues

Bitter cold, ice ravages red-cliffs in my veins
Yet my mind holds invincible summer hues
O' Darkness thy black-hand my spirit restrains
Tho' thy power rages from thy dark Lord's pews

Flee thee far back into thy dark Lord's abode
Plead thy master, at Byrnhilda's rock for aid
Summer's warmth, my fiery embers sent explode
My Viking blood, proves I am iron made

With such power I banish thee with one breath
Tho' thy great wealth of evil is fierce and strong
Birthright, I draw residues from Odin's death
Epic strength and power from Valkyries's song

Bitter cold, ice ravages red-cliffs in my veins
Yet my mind holds invincible summer hues
O' Darkness thy black-hand my spirit restrains
Tho' thy power rages from thy dark Lord's pews

Carry thy dark master this warning I send
With shields of truth, and armored Nordic powers
And with soul's all, and all my strength I defend
Against stones thrown from Dark Lord's brimstone towers

When Valhalla's halls open for my passing
And Odin sits with mighty Thor at his side
Few will have entered in this pledge surpassing
Held firm, courage, loyalty and Viking pride

Bitter cold, ice ravages red-cliffs in my veins
Yet my mind holds invincible summer hues
O' Darkness thy black-hand my spirit restrains
Tho' thy power rages from thy dark Lord's pews

When emotions are

sensing things others struggle to see.

Illusive vultures perch
upon frail shoulders, their talons
digging deep into sensitive skin. Biting lips
from the pain, clenching fists, tongue restrains
from screaming. How it wishes to express things out loud,
but plagued by a jaded misunderstood mind, it feels like a rain
cloud unable to release drops of heavy burdens contained deep inside.

is this the definition of me now?

How real is this smile you see,

of premeditated positivity.

Like you,
struggling to find answers,
to so many complex questions -
 in a
battle between
philosophies and prophecies.

Are we villains, heroes, victims or victimizers?

Have we touched more hearts, than we've broken?

I ponder what role will I play in my last performance,
which character will illustrate my story.
Yet none of us will ever know.

I secure them in a tired timber box.
for a moment my heart is safe, admiring,
dandelions bloom in my flourishing orchard.

Of Saints and Sinners

Of Saints And Sinners

Within the sacrificial selfless silence
The seditious spirit stands in defiance
With salient scars of eternal echoes
Amongst the meditating melodious meadows

Sinister sins compound in complexity
Where demon deeds are devoured devilishly
Macabre masters of the medieval mind
Disengaged discipline of the consciously confined

The saint and sinner must coherently co-exist
One restrains of thoughts the other can not resist
Erosive entombment in the somatic solitudes
As both struggle within the manqué multitudes.

Ring Full of Daisies

A ring full of daisies weaved in her hair
adorns a white cotton sundress
as she twirls through the air
a heavenly tune plays only for her
the world's at a standstill
as her dream scenes come true
she's in love with the blue bird
plays tag with the squirrels
she speaks with the sweet swan
understanding each word
she's a vision of lovely
God's gracing gift
nothing restrains her
a princess adrift
with the sun shining down
through cracks in skies mist
her smile is beaming
at peace with life's twists

The New Song

As answers deceive
The questions stand
And dancers leave
To track the sand
Round robin conspiracy
Threatening us all
The letters all lower case
Their finality tall
Butting my head
Inside of the line
“When does it end Father,
Maybe this time”
The black and the white of it
The tall and the short
The poisons the same
One knife for a fork
New action will free
What inaction restrains
To once again, once again
Once again drain
So back to the future
Back to the past
Choose not your weapon
You’ve had your last laugh
The wind’s in the vestibule
New breath in the hymn
Your darkness reveals
What the light needs to win
With seven unsavory
And eight left to roast
The turkey unstuffed
Leaving room for the ghost
So ride away, ride away
Ride away all
The damage inflicted
This hammer a maul
The blood’s in the alleyway
Life beckons on
Death has been slaughtered
  —as begins the new song

Jack of Spades

Jack of spades

(intro) Fear not the dark queen skies
The red crimson, tears of lies
Fear not what you’ve been told
For your soul has not been sold

(bridge) You are free from all these chains
                 You alone make these restrains...

(ref) Take the leap into the unknown, to discover you’re not alone
Take a glimpse inside the light, the super nova burning bright
So unleash what you have learned and drink the chalice that you’ve yearned
Succumb to all of your desires whilst your enemies transpire.

(ref) Now that you’re on the peak, no one will dare to speak
Now your crown has been reforged, so lead well and don’t diverge
As this oath you thou shall keep, never look back never retreat
Keep these principals in your mind, as the stars are re aligned

(chorus) From jack to king you have become
Deciding faiths with a flick of thumb
From jack to king you are reborn
                  Once a servant now adorned

The Morning Star

The Morning Star
By Nate Spears

There’s clarity in the depths on my deepest thought
I’m never blind to a world of darkness
I’m challenged by whatever in time
Defeated by my ambition in others

Close to my last day
But far from my last night
And I’m light years away
From my very last fight

The actions of the man
Creates the path of his life
The absence of the man
Restrains his rights
The mentality of a man
Saves the day he's granted
The intent of the man
Leads him the way the earth has planned it

So feel my rose as it fades
Feel my pedals bring a new days
As I sprout beyond the stars
To a galaxy that stands out
The route brings the creation to light
After the day
After the night
After the darkness
After my arrival
The morning is tainted
The day is seen in a human’s eye
Sight has been sinful before and after
You and I
This is the heart filled reason
For the birth Christ.

Premium Member At the Passion's Hearth

In flash points crackling moment of the exhausted,
Ecstasy’s burnt embers explode, colliding in
Raptures afterglow of passions flaming heart.
Castaway's silhouettes blaze, against a heated back drop,
Of sensuality sizzling, at a boiling temperature left
Uncontrolled, the union ignition switch burns red hot.
Restrains shackles are sheared tatters of materialistic
Fibers, remnants clothing tossed asunder,
 To abandons shame.
Beguiling eyes of desires enamored, seek the
Erotic pleasures hidden beneath the nights shroud
Of mysteries secret realm, shared by these lunar
Disciples of lusts forbidden.
Nay let the sun rays be forever banished from the
Heaven’s themselves, torn apart singing the very stars,
Causing them to fall, as diamond shards unto the earth
Below.
Let the wrath of the god’s shake the world by it’s
Fragile edges, for revenges sake of malice’s intent,
For the sinful deeds done between these outcasts
Of loves intrigue.
Raw is kindling’s fuel, flesh to the bone,
Pleasure to the pain, raining ashes of desire
Thus do we burn, fire to the ice factor,
I’m a melting burg, turning to steam within
His embrace of thermal nuclear heat.
The weeping angels of salvation fallen serenade us,
Lifting our souls beyond the mortal fleshes returning
Point, we are the lost, drifting within each other,
The vowed dammed, secret lovers of silences hushed.
Abandonment’s servants left without prayers mercy,
Kneeling at the altar of the passion’s hearth,
Until the flames embers burn out,
And ashes Yule log has no more fuel to ignite.
But oh in memories we’ll relive that night,
Until the universe plunges into the black hole
Of the timeless infinite itself.

Premium Member The Puddle

Galoshes over my shoes
raincoat zipped up high
Umbrella to protect my head
but that puddle can't be denied

Splash! Splash! puddle jumping
Splash! Splash! puddle jumping
I'm not to blame
the puddle called my name

Let it rain let it pour
it's fun getting wet for sure
Splish and splash, Splash and splish
getting as wet as you wish

Dive right in dance around
getting wet like a happy clown
If mom ask why you didn't avoid the puddle
just smile sweet with a face a fuddle

Get wet get soaked
stomp that water fall and float
Laugh out loud while drenched
puddle jumping is fun cinch

Runny nose and slight chill
mom restrains the urge to kill
Off to bed covers tight
hear the raindrops deep into the night

Sleepy head fast asleep
cozy socks on little feet
End of rainbow slides into a puddle
happy memories our hearts cuddle

Fire In the Night

Fiery darkness and burning night
	Pressing down upon the dusk
The stars are points of icy light in the sky
	Midnight fights the twilight restrains

	Pressing down upon the dusk
The night is on fire with deepening shades
	Midnight fights the twilight restrains
	Creating a breathtaking display

The night is on fire with deepening shades
The stars are points of icy light in the sky
	Creating a breathtaking display
	Fiery darkness and burning night

Ansley Piper Dunning

this stunning lithe oldest teenage niece, daughter of
my younger sister, epitomizes a tall drink of water
(similar to the mother at same age)
What with her willowy young woman body
brimming with budding potential for breath-taking beauty
enhanced by her quiet mien
expressing itself thru exemplary artistic and literary flair
if asked to draw a character sketch anime or wax poetic she would demure
modesty restrains her acknowledging creative talents
so I thought to compose an ode in praise
of this quiet-natured adolescent teetering on the brink of adulthood
evolving positive qualities via the strength of said sibling
whose ambitious parents embarked to Spain
late summer found them bound for the Iberian peninsula
this brother suppresses envy at adventurous bold risk-taking
exposing offspring to world wide web of Europe
fostering cultural awareness, represents continuity
for I remember this youngest sibling as gently conniving for courage
to act on her je nais sais qua esprit de corps
as like an inner divining rod and faith in self
enabling exemplary example for motherhood constituting
both this and Marleigh (the second of deux whip smart darlings)
with the world at their fingertips as hands on learning
all the while insinuating courage to take life by the horns!??

Cry

Every time I try to be sad and cry
Restrains me the logic and asks, why?
I search for a reason, but I don’t find
So I hold my tears back and stop
But still want to cry, so I curse the mind
Because I badly needed my tears to drop!

To be even sad and cry, you have to strive
Isn’t there anything easily done in this life?!

Philosophical Fallacy

living in this flagitious society life becomes numb
yet we extrapolate irrespective reality till we become dumb

mental break downs and frivolous exercises of intellectual contempt
permeates a paradigmatic volition of unparsimonious content

we are axiomatic in our subjective minds as we conceptualize truths
but preconceived notions poison and impede the capacity of our fruits

berayed by the thick insulating cover of vitriolic and obligatory words
you can see with more than our eyes and hear more than whats heard

virtue and value will hurt you in battle
as expression and intention fight for domain

necessity and certainty like humans and cattle
like pride and despair both going insane

miraculous recoveries and extravagant claims
cognitive faculties misfiring as the mind refuses to aim

lost in translation as we wander our brains
a mental castration of parabolic restrains

feelings, opinions and emotions all subjective and chained
like a broken track on a bridge made for a 4,000 ton train

we refuse to abide by the laws in our hearts
as we accept solipsism in whole and in part

judgmental determinist with a maniacal skill
to violate logic and ignore the freewill

you recapitulate hate and promulgate lies
like maggots on a carcass embedded by flies

you are dead in your thoughts and dead in your walk
Trace the outline of your body with a forensic white chalk

to be dead in your mind is to be dead inside time
and if life is subjective theres no reason or rhyme
