Best Repulsion Poems
My greatest wish is for humanity
Treating each other with civility
Regardless of each one’s ethnicity
All men should be treated with dignity
For when I hear of discrimination
It generates the greatest repulsion
And so as not to create confusion
Every religion deserves inclusion
Judging books by their covers can only bring
More hate, intolerance as hope takes wing
If we could learn to be more accepting
Bells of world peace would surely be chiming
So join me now in prayer for acceptance
And an end to widespread intolerance
Beyond war there will be a transcendence
Through God’s plan we’ll live in benevolence

Mind over matter
It seems the mind
is more forgiving
than the matter
Love at first sight
Magnets inseparable
Believing true love could
Conquer anything
but anything butt up against matter
Hard enough Long enough
turns out
is enough is enough
for matter to shift
Attraction becomes Repulsion
leaving
Mind over matter
The mind forgiving
matter not forgetting
Both hoping time will heal the wounds
The musician I never became
Singing the song I wish I wrote
I count the strands of my life
Here I am in a tag of war
Feelings of attraction
Versus stronger feelings of repulsion
Something happened and I responded
Because I no longer play victim of bullying
Or so I think
And they responded
And I was left feeling like the bully
I had planned not to apologise
Why am always the one apologising?
Well if I stop jumping into conclusions
Then I wouldn't be left feeling this bad
Well if I harden my shells a little
Then I may stop taking things so sensitively and personally
That hasn't worked for me
Changing my character I mean
Changing the sensitive gold in me
That is the ninety percent make of me
A 'nemesis' walked passed me
Like someone that doesn't like me and vice versa
And through I her, I was reminded of a great friend
I will never forget how she made me feel
The laughter we shared
The jokes we exchanged, most of them from her
And I a willing receiver
I always loved when she worked
And I thought, if she was here right now, it would all be jokes and laughter
Relaxed and happy
Unstressed
Unworried
Some people just fill in those empty holes
Of what we are not
And complete our lives
Savage whims of winter
that bring freezing rain
unrestrained
in a sky re-grouping
flaired forceful with the cold
Ice coated, leaf-less trees that bend
like old men over their canes
Trees from an underworld,
frigid
brutally hobbled by their rich, new coating
Maple trees,
heavy
that seem to weep with worry
Glaze baked into branches that gleam
in sober sunlight
like a church lit by candles
Ice that flickers with sorrow and beauty
a crystal knave
inviting awe and repulsion
for sheeted frost that veils the landscape
Refracted light,
glistening
to fill the cramped chill of winter
Still life stiffened that crackles and hisses
when the wind blows
An icy, lush world that loiters in our minds,
stealthily
to shimmer in our slumber

Two lines intersect
an inherently
unstable situation.
Parallel lines
are better
each proceeding
separately in
the same direction
balanced by forces
of attraction/repulsion.
But if these change
the lines diverge
or intersect (see above).
Sometimes two
intersecting lines
may align
with a third
forming a
triangle.
Which is stable
but generally
disapproved of.
Very occasionally
two lines may meet
end to end
and curve
to form
a circle
which is
One.
In the cradled of life's dark garden,
It dwells amongst the murky waters
Primeval,
Behold the creature from the black lagoon.
Nay what is this creation, neither fish or
Reptile.
Yet a blending of both, a high bread's mixture,
Intelligent, and cunning, the last of his species,
To survive.
Brought unwisely did men, bring beauties
Forbidden fruit, unto this lost oasis of Eden.
For alone sentinel awaits to partake in such
A luscious morsel.
So does it not say in biblical text, go forth
And multiply, by a driven basic instinct he
Cautiously watches from the thicket brush.
What a graceful motion moves within the
Jungles domain,
She swims idle caught unaware, the bride
To be herself, charms him with every stroke
Across this lake placid.
With Chameleon like stealth, the groom appears,
Taking his prize to their cavey honeymoon retreat.
So tenderly he greets his mate, from shocks
Dreamy like state she awakes, and recoils in repulsion.
No love's scorn, and tragedies broken heart,
Can do more damage than rejections expulsion.
Bullets may have cut the flesh to the bone,
But was it not beauty, which killed the beast,
And the last sight he saw, was his love in
Another's arms.
So ends natures final verse in this evolutionary
Experiment,
The creature from the black lagoon now lies
Dead, upon this tragic stage of life.

Apostrophe
A derogate demons asperity
Calumniate my integrity
Malicious deceit
Holding no truth
Held on to nothing!
My inglorious ignominy
Your repulsion Satiate!
Nauseated glut unsensual sodomy
Surfeit and salt in nasty infected cut
Given dichotomy
Or burdened with great weight
Tarnished, libel. Stuck in a rut.
Nothing left
Appellation stained – Tainted mendaciously
Verbal hate – Eat the flesh
Minstrel blood mixed with sacred semen
There’s nothing left – except for fire and this acrid demon
A Moment to Cherish
It came without any connection.
It bore some fruit, a celebration ?
A pleasant moment
came - and it went.
It left without connection.
No expressed affection.
What does it mean ?
This empty scene.
A Moment to Cherish
Left me hollow.
Difficult to swallow.
This hurt heart
became the start
of questions – why
a tear filled eye ?
Why feeling choke
in my constricted throat ?
Is it repulsion ?
Is it unworthiness ?

In the airs sweet whispering can you not hear their humming,
These cyber kindred joining together, strumming, across
Oceans, beyond continental divides, it’s a shared song of
Harmony!
In lyrics of verse, rheum and time, expressionism of
Grandeur, shared idealism and emotional tides,
Swaying in the winds of the poetic imagination.
Harken, and listen to the brilliance in melody,
On this international internet family known
As poetry soup!
In the lyrics of these artist bards, are the binding
Ties of paper and ink, yet we share so much more!
The instrumental blending of cultures, beliefs,
And emotional diversity’s, merging within the
Written words of the creative artists inner soul,
And being!
Gleaming stars of friendships, shinning in a
Timeless connection of love, understanding,
And a mutual tolerance for all our differences,
Can be shared and expressed without
Repulsion or offence!
In this unique forum true beauty of honesty
Is shared, between the hearts of mankind,
To encourage and inspirer the next generation
To come.
We are the open hands that offer
Guidance, the words of praise to inspiration,
A shoulder to cry upon, if the tides of emotions
Seem to overwhelm!
After all we are all family, friends, and the
Kindred to humanity, here in this society
Called poetry soup!
Let those whom have fallen at the words of criticism,
Find a calm river of peace here, a helping hand
Of understanding extended unto them, and
Allow them to stand again with a prides honor!
Inspirations lit torch of the future burns brightly,
Uniting us together in this cyber family!
An international netting, not made of wirers,
But of friendships, experiences, and emotions,
Here in this global sphere called earth,
We are one!

I seek a better life far beyond depression
My mental state needs to be repaired
Along with it, I need compensation for being born;
I did not ask for it.
Till then shall love be but my peace of mind?
I would like to believe it will
Doubts creep in and stay for a long time
Why do they torment me?
My difficulties meet with every minute that passes by
There are no cures, so I think
They are the conflicts created a long time ago
They haunt me still.
Having seized my doomed life from the grave
Not knowing the reason why when I’m so keen to exit
That’s what happens with a confused mind
Loving on edge all the time.
Most of the tears will be found wanting
Having no cause for being morbid
What has been created cannot be undone
I only can utter this is life…..
When the sound of unwholesomeness I hear
There’s no need to listen to the heart
It has been conquered mediocrity
I can do nothing about it.
Within the boundaries of loving there’s a heart
Functioning in a way the mind dictates
For with it, fantasies are created
As I am consumed by it.
Being happy in a family surroundings
Having all that I need and more
Alongside sexual fulfilment
To wake up in repulsion!
When I’m living behind prison bars I am broken
In need to escape and quickly as possible
What freedom will I find?
If I free myself after all.
If the revitalized body assumes emotions again
Keeping the mind and heart abreast of love
There will be hope, I think
Or even a waiting hell.
To the end of life itself,
Being so murky and disproportionate
Would I want to be revived?
Would I want to go through it again?
Reconciled by these thoughts
Cognitive contents have opened compassion’s gates
I wonder if I should accept them
Trying to go along with it.
In justification through my beliefs
I should know my transgressions are many
To be forgiven I shall not know
The past roads were wide and weary…..
Can I cry for lost time now departed?
It is a different country from the past;
I cannot live there anymore
I cannot love here now, also!
To call for exasperated mind and the unadorned heart
Where the spirit is weak and possessed
There is no possibility of a return
Except if sanity can be restored.
Consequential grief is not prescribed
It waits for an overall doom
It shall blacken my life
So be it!
God or Sat being the only true substance
Choicelessly chooses to manifest existence
Dividing Himself into two by His creativity
Creating thus a pulse manifested as polarity
The pulse the word the outpouring being Ohm
Wherefrom arose the Universe we call our home
In the void of stillness He remains neutral
Attraction & repulsion orbiting the Sun central
Thus is set up the triad or trinity of energies
Satva & Rajas & Tamas in a play for eternity
That that He may behold Himself in surprise
He slips into stupor to gradually awake & rise
This play then enacted in the field of maya
Where space-time-matter become an enigma
Veil of illusion creating in life feeling of identity
Appearing to be limited though in truth infinity
Delusion of each lifetron rooted in stagnation
Freedom instant centred in source of causation
Maya manifestation being but division illusionary
Reflection of vibrations in a dream world imaginary
Eternal truth Sat found in stillness of meditation
Evident in the void of each pulse polarity rotation
Stretching the void by stilling flickering attention
We are one with the absolute in blissful elation
There are in the world, at least two types of folks
there are some living comfy and those under the yokes.
If you’re of the former, eating three squares per day,
when you look at the latter, do you cast them away?
Do you feel in your heart, anything but repulsion?
From an ill-conceived fear do you cry their expulsion?
Ghostly wolves hide among them, so you turn a blind eye
and it makes you feel safer, letting innocents die.
You say you’re correct, and you say it is smart,
to ignore all the suffering and to harden the heart.
Truth is: you’re a coward hiding up in your loft
and when asked for compassion, you shrugged and you scoffed.
Then you offered yourself a nice pat on the back,
and despite all your riches -- of real substance: you lack.

Since the Garden of Eden and Cleopatra,
snakes strike great fear in man
I have it—ophidiophobia---
legless lizards equal repulsion
Slithering, sliding as they move
something about friction and scales
like goose bumps on human flesh
more than I want to know
Little known fact learned
three hundred vertebrae, one reptile
they can scrunch up like an accordion
Slinky has nothing on the snake
Zoology teacher forced me to touch
disgusting...scaly info to psyche
rubbery, stretchy outside insides
that red-eyed yellow python plagued my sleep
Here’s the point—abnormal fear or not
God created the reptile
rattlesnake eats rats, field mice
homes under rocks in deserts, mountains
concealed, fearing human contact
Travel to Georgia or Oklahoma…
Rattlesnake Roundups held
oh yes, let’s kill some rattlers
buy a permit, slaughter as many…
Find their hiding, jerk them up
drop them in a sack writhing with twelve more
rattler chasers claim fun to kill
find the longest, fattest
Kill by decapitation
drop in the freezer alive
look later…freeze dried snake
eat a snake steak…tastes like chicken
Why search them out
leave them alone
No rattlesnake boots, head bands...
Yes, stand up for the reptiles!

Even before the arrival of the first snows, so brilliantly candid,
we climbed mounts less dangerous than the Alps's;
and we proudly chalked it up to our experience.
Now the snowy cliffs with bouffant boulders,
have lost their captious and so beatific image,
and quite too often we got pinched by burdock,
distracted by the robins chattering on a coarse descent;
I champed on crisp strawberries, while he challenged his strength.
My buddy never castigated me for my bizarre behavior,
and I admired him for displaying humor without repulsion,
or retort, and with chisel and hammer we engraved faces of historic men
on the smoothest rocks which were replete with their handsomeness.
Those adventurous afternoons are repealed when we look up,
and recreate them through our Male Chauvinism, cheery not dumb;
we felt like cave men making rudimentary drawings of their hunted animals,
while their women picked wild chicory for an early dinner.
Chums we were, resembling cowboys with wide hats in a chiaroscuro,
drinking in a bar filled with fashionable ladies frolicking and saying hello;
and chili con carne we ate, and plenty of beers to wash it down.
After our money was all squandered, our pockets were empty and we felt alone,
dazed...wobbling with fear, afraid to face our witless wives at home;
we were two idiots wooing empathy and some undeserving love.
And didn't they seem two witches ready for vengeance in their frown,
trying to squeeze the truth out of our silent and pretentious mouths too fulsome?
Frost will bring winter soon, and the snowy cliffs with bouffant boulders will be covered,
our hair have turned almost white to match the bright color of the deep snows,
as this river is freezing up, to become a sheet of ice, where no boats or barges pass;
and we play chess, the intramural game of a confined life, without those clandestine affairs.
Our darlings approve with sweet intonation, intensifying their affection so amorous;
and we embrace them with that tenderness that they have long desired...
staring at the snowy cliffs with bouffant boulders that these two climbers made their own,
remembering the cold and the shivering...coming down to a valley of comfort and domain.

Confidence
Poem
Lionel Derbyshire
A waste of wonder time
In camouflage
Will wear you down.
No pace , less value
It does not comfort you
Like a warm eiderdown.
Time waste
You drown standing.
Rapid roots grow
In your boots.
In a worthless place
Where it is only space
Here .. there .. everywhere.
You are at sea
Confused and smoked
And can't swim.
You scratch a leaf
And puff in an ashtray
And call it achieve?
Scared you want
The phone to ring
Your ambitions are
Now detained.
No confidence
And the lack
Will break you down.
A rattlesnake calls
And say
Time for change !
The decoy
Means no blessing
It's repulsion ..
The snake
Will try grace
And waste your ear space.
Then slither back
To it's cave
After burying you under
Once upon
In womb time
You wore the crown.
With faith and confidence
A bountiful reminder
You all you have.
It is you have.
Confidence..
Now try
There is still flesh
On your bone
It's up to you.
It is on you
It's all about you.
