Laws of Attraction

Mind over matter

      It seems the mind
      is more forgiving
      than the matter

Love at first sight
Magnets inseparable
Believing true love could
Conquer anything
but anything butt up against matter
Hard enough Long enough
turns out
is enough is enough
for matter to shift
Attraction becomes Repulsion
leaving
Mind over matter

      The mind forgiving
      matter not forgetting

Both hoping time will heal the wounds

Nice play on words. Creatively musing here wow. Attraction becomes repulsion, yeah that seems to be the law of love nowadays I swear what I hear of many couples in different parts of the world. Your poem is superb. Kudos. Nice to read from u again. Pls do write your thoughts about my latest poem too, under it.

It is so true. The tremendous pressure we put on love to fit our dreams. Your poem reminded me of that as I read. Cautioned me in fact to have no expectations and just love.

Bad experience may hurt but still teaches us of how to go about next time! If inventors were giving up after their unsuccessful initial efforts there would not be...computers today for us to communicate! Haha. Beautiful philosophical writing dearest, Maureen!

I LOVE this Maureen - so much hard truth here, put into exquisite phrasing and tempo ... fav-ing this. I haven't said this here before, (though it's intimated in my work), but I am a recovered addict, addicted over 30 years, and while it's something I have written of many times, it needs even MORE attention ... and discussion. Thank you for this - just wonderful!

I am honoured Greg, more than you could know. While I have had my problems with addiction, loving an addict is something else. I would rather be writing love poems. My body has endured much trauma, however cognizant of the disease and understanding and forgiving I be, the body remembers. Mind over matter I quit tobacco and pot cold turkey, but I can't turn my body back on. Thank you again :) xomo
