Christmas is a time triumphant.
Of both mistletoe and miracles
Try...warm wishes and wonder!
Especially, holiday hugs.
Children's eyes bright by candlelight.
Laughs over fruitcake and having
fun.
Illuminated icicles from windows
glisten.
Children, our gifts, still sleepless,
await Santa Claus.
So sacred is this season, let us not
forget the reason!
We pass through the wonderful,wintry
wreath on the great door!
Worship and wrapping keep us
wonderfully busy.
Tis a Holiday that is most holy!
Lastly, yummy eggnog and elves.
Please do celebrate, do not hide
but share yourselves.
May faith,friends and family be centerpiece.
As you approach warm homes, dressed so
warmly in fleece!

Am I alone ? Does GOD hear the prayers I pray ?,
For I wonder in my heart if HE hears anything I say,
So many questions of things I need answers too,
Sometimes I feel so tossed inside,unsettled and blue,
I feel HE does not care about anything I speak,
I feel my prayers go no higher then the celling, when HIM I seek,
I feel, am I doing the right thing, or does HE care at all,
I wonder if I am on the right track or in for another fall,
I cry to the LORD from the depths of my soul,
Can I at least reach up to touch the bottom, from this hole,
In this my darkest hour I scream to HIM from deep within,
No place to go from HIM, no place to hide from within,
Yet all I can do is to trust HIM and turn things over to HIM once more,
I can not leave my soul in the dumps when I feel this sore,
O GOD, my GOD I cry aloud to YOU my LORD,
Reach down in my dispare with YOUR two edged sword,
For my hear remains true as I learn to seek YOUR face,
I have learned my GOD, for YOU have put me in my place,
I will rejoice in my Redeemer and learn to do YOUR will,
I will take joy in mt Deliverer as I climb YOUR Holy hill,
Give me strength, give me live, draw me close,
So I may be assured in whom I value the most,
You know all the questions of my heart, YOU are the answer,
YOU are my answer, LORD GOD Almighty, Sir,
Please grant your servant a kindness, this I will ask,
To see YOU in all YOUR fulness and in YOUR presence, what a task,
O how my heart loves YOU, O spring of Living water,

Blessed birthday to my dearest eldest brother. This poem is dedicated to you, my best kuya, Manong Rudy. I believe that by the grace of the Lord, you can declare this testimony:
Rejoicing* am I in God’s love
Overwhelming me through His compassion
Driving my spirit for good works’ performance
Opening to me opportunities to praise Him joyously
Leading my steps toward good success
Filling me with blessings to share
Offering His grace for triumphant pursuits…
Assured by the Word of the Almighty with heavenly confidence
Guarded by His presence with steadfastness
Upheld by His mercy and truth
Settled in His care as with faith I trust His power.
Taught to serve as His faithful steward with my family
I am so blessed, verily grateful…
Now and forever praising Jesus Christ, my Saviour and Lord.

I never knew just how empty life could be,
Until the day you could no longer be with me.
The house is so empty without your voice.
I know your leaving was not your choice.
All of those little things you used to do
Are left undone, since I am without you.
I can not understand why I was left to cry.
Why did you go? Why did you die?
Broken hearted and lonely in our empty room,
Sitting alone and wanting you in the gloom.
Feeling so sorry for myself will not change things.
I must consider what this change for you brings.
No more pains in your body today.
No more watching you wither away
No more dialysis three times a week,
Keeping you alive, but making you weak.
No more needles and hospital stays,
No more living in a drug induced haze.
You have gone to a land of no sorrow or pain
To live with the Lord in his radiant reign.
To a land where you live in an endless day,
Where the glory of God lights the way.
I would not want you back on earth in pain,
Living as you did and watching life drain
From your tired body and weary heart.
Even though it means we must be apart.
I must look heavenward even though I will miss
The love in your eyes and the warmth of your kiss.

This is a poetic testimony of a child from an orphanage ...
adopted by loving parents:
Though I look sober, still in the Lord do I indeed rejoice
Grateful am I to hear my father and mother’s voice
With “We love you, dear; you’re a child of our choice.”
As a baby, a lot of things I can’t understand…
But, I’m being trained to trust the Creator Who has perfectly planned
Everything for my life, beauteously grand by His divine brand.
Well, it was sheer triumph of gladness that reigned over my amusement
The very first time I experienced loving home’s engagement…
Yet, please allow me to express sincere “baby-bewilderment.”
So true, I’m puzzled because I don’t have the looks of my Mom and Dad
You can’t blame me if somehow such causes me to be sad, but not mad…
Even if told that the Master wondrously molds me to be a good lad.
Yes, my brain is questioning this present situation of mine…
Hoping that in God’s best time I’ll comprehend His marvelous design:
Why I’m an adopted child, which accordingly is “just fine.”
Now, I’m settled in my adoptive family’s faithful care
While nestling in my parents and siblings’ nurture for my welfare
Thanking them for making me belong with their adoption-share.
Praising the Saviour for my new “psychosocial” identity
I, rescued from abortion, pray earnestly for God’s blessings’ bounty
As I grow up to learn about adoption* and its spiritual beauty.

my little girl is lighting scented candles tonight
she is recovering from pneumonia and in is in her best mood in forever
i play her favorite Christmas song by the late dan fogelberg
we become lost and run out of things to say as well
love is speaking right now, and it is not to be disturbed
after she finishes her chicken and shells soup and sandwich, she comes over to me and jumps on my lap
i wrap her in her favorite blanket and play the song again
i smile as a quiet tear falls as she snuggles up in her blanket
i know that sleep is tapping on her shoulder gently
she responds as always
i simply rejoice
the smell of apples and cinnamon fills the air with yuletide divine contentment
