Best Refreshing Poems
Winter is leaving a patchwork behind
Woven lumps of snow, for spring to un-wind
Melting into flowing streams, easy to follow
Right on down to the river bend's flow
A place for my soul's revival, under tall pines, soft soil
A nice place of rest from burdening toil
I can imagine I'll be there pretty soon
Set a date with my muse sometime before noon
The river may show me something special to say
Bringing with its music, a refreshing, new day

After a soft spring shower last night, the air was washed clean
And saturated mother earth brings to life nature's bounty
Wisteria, Jasmine, and Azeala's scent wafts perfuming the cleansed air
Last night's accompanying thunder and lightning
Brought nitrogen that restores green to grass, plants, and trees
Now renewed shades of green dot the rolling hills, dashes of soft color those spring greens
A gentle zephyr stirs the leaves refreshed from the moisture and rich nitrogen air
Now hidden within the once barren limbs a tiny bird's nest nestled with care
Soon baby birds will emerge to feast on seeds nourished from this spring shower
A gentle spring shower is a blessing for man, earth and beast
Refreshing, restoring, and nourishing so all will be able to eat
Spring showers put in store water to carry the earth through summer's heat
Out on the porch to enjoy air washed of pollen, cleansed, and refreshed
And hear the birds sing at their very best
Last night's soft spring shower assures their life will be blessed__

Contest: Spring Showers
Written this twelfth day of April 2013
Curl up with a book's deep reflections
Turn off that electronic device
Stay away from artificial refreshments
And follow refreshing advice
Take a dip in a clearwater lake
a nap in the middle of the day
Go for a walk when you feel stale
Learn to meditate, let your mind sail
What have you got to lose?
You don't want to turn to booze
If you light up a marijuana joint
You'll surely have missed the point
You arrived here all new and all fresh
~ Now live life relaxed and refreshed
At the stretch

V.I.P. he's tap dancing
all smiley's
It's a spring
no day spring
it's good for him
Sometimes the dry desert wind
Strips slowly the sandless skin
Of the soul
Gentle balm of the wide Spirit
Settling upon the surface
Singing a song of suppleness
Message of the mindful reflection
From the internal mirror
Of the heart
Home to the fruitful Spirit
Residence of the restoring, loving kindness
Of the refreshing riverside
Where solace comes, pacifying
With the sounds trickling and dancing
Over cool stones of thought
refreshing spring rain
flowers unfold their beauty....
dawn of summer growth

Rain dives down onto land
Grass oceans and even sand
Gently falls upon my hand
My reflection in the raindrop
Who is this I see
Tiny little drops of rain
Created high up in the sky
In the clouds is where it lies
Cleanses planet earth
Soon after its birth
Washes away evil and sin
Gives one a sense of refreshment
Planet earth is truly a blessing
Wash away all earth's pain
Earth. Please.
Wash away my sins
Let the water rain down on me
Replenish myself to start a new
Slight regret gives off a sense of weight
Heavy on my shoulders
I carry this around
But I must accept my sins to set myself free
Refreshing Rain
As the rain came calling
it made a hissing sound
You could hear it coming
as it raced across the ground
Everything else went silent
with nothing on the fly
I stood with arms wide open
my faced turned toward the sky
It swept so sweetly over me
a tingling, cleansing feel
I began to twirl and dance around
my joy I could not conceal.
i cant believe it!
i have come to life!
inspired once again i relive a past most splendid
taking back my pride i pick up my quill once more
and i jot down a few lines
lines i will cherish
lines i will hold dear
because it is as if my lifeblood was restored
like an electric shock
i am alive at last,
as sweeney todd said
AND IM FULL OF JOY!!!!
a life i wished to live has been returned instead of revoked
the sweet nectar of words flow
from a fruit i call my fingers
i am alive again
thank you suki
RAIN AGAIN, REFRESHING!
It is raining again, so refreshing
Trees violently swaying
Storm? Who cares!
The rain is falling
Washing away what's not wanted
Fresh start. Cool air
New beginnings
New me
New you
New
When you are unwell
And your body is weak
Worries hang over you
When it's solace that you seek
No matter how hard you look
For quietness and peace
Your jangled nerves
And aching limbs
Refuse to cease
Feeling very sorry for myself
As miserable as I can be
There is nobody, but nobody
Can feel as bad as me
I've talked to myself all day,
Saying I could feel much worse
Nothing I can think of
Can remove this curse,
I sat looking out of the window,
Frowning and with disdain
When it suddenly started to rain softly
Down the window pane
I was mesmerised as the rain,
Commenced to fall
Harder and harder
Bouncing off the wall
And making puddles everywhere
It was so calming
It was easy to sit and stare
With the changes to the garden
The rain was bringing there.
Everything looked brighter
New and fresh and clean
Like all traces of dullness
And dust had never been.
Sitting in the chair,
I woke up suddenly
There was peace in the air
That natural view gave me
I now understand if I take time to rest,
I will be able to cope if I try my best.

Bengal Tiger_ run
Jump in water_ they don't swim
Primal instinct wins
Lingering its wicked spell
The summer heat wave
Overstays its welcome
Bidding a long overdue adieu
When finally heaven sent
That first raindrop
Splatters on my face

How refresh is my heart
in the presence of you and
how reviving is this love
we both feel. How truly
revitalising it feels when
we touch, the beauty of
your lips upon me and the
rush my body endures so
pure, my refreshing appetite.
The nature of seduction
from your body's heat
makes me boil beneath my
bones and the detection
as my radar finds you,
make me crack in my tones.
Refreshing appetite, you're
the refreshment my body
dreams and the mental
stimulant my brain needs
to feel.
