Protesting Ducks
As I ambled around the village pond

I skimmed a stone through reed and frond,

In distress, ducks took flight

Guilty I, to cause them fright.

Protesting loudly in their quacking

My common sense seemed sadly lacking,

I never thought that stone I chucked

Would cause such grief, to little ducks....

Protesting Little Birds
After the snow and the thaw set in, the bigger birds banished all the little ones to the
higher branches of the trees as they fed on nuts and seeds. Big bullies lol!

melting morning

wagtails protest from above

as crows swoop to feast...

Protesting Poets
Poets in the pot
Striving not to get cooked
For poverty in the hood
As gotten all hooked
Becoming ingredients of hunger
For all to maw

A new season...
A fresh session...
For the wrong reason...
Recession a new name
Best known to them

Stimulating ideas cocooned
We are the laughing flock
of...

I see liberal action out marching
In protest against an elected body
Hypocrites who hold no value
hitting a raw nerve highlights
in their own country of choice

Freedom is being turned upside down
judged and brought into law
corruption against the holy script
criminals dressed...

Protesting
They shot a boy the other day
not far from where I live
killed him in cold blood
they wonder what he feared
they say his hands were in the air
reaching for the sky
but that never stopped the policeman
from making his bullets fly
seven shots rang out
then there...

at the ripe age of six or seven

Protesting
Written: by Tom Wright

Protesting has become a dangerous game,
Creating property damage and often killing.
It accomplishes little but occurs just the same,
Working on inequalities seems we’re unwilling.

Those thought oppressed want their payday,
Spouting slogans and shouldering their signs.
Thinking this might another’s opinion sway,
Desiring to rise above...

Protesters,
are squeaking wheels
in search of grease.
Often getting their way
by disrupting peace.

Always airing their gripes
while carrying a sign.
It’s a difference of opinion
that hatches their whine.

Fear and intimidation
is the game many play.
Feeling they’re the only ones
who should have any say.

There’s something to...

Oft times we protest making the evening news,
and it isn’t always from our differing in views.

Rather than bend to authority & take a back seat,
we’ll make signs and line both sides of a street.

Following others advice blindly we simply won’t,
and it isn’t...

Protesting late arrival of spring
This long winter's been lingering
Seriously overstayed its welcome
Not leaving till it's warm and sunny
I’m staying indoors to shout and pout

Tom

Through open revolt, dissenting views are expressed,
It’s always about principle, with me, not the reason.
I won’t become a prisoner to any threat or protest,
And I visualize occurrences as another “silly season”.

When many disagree, they soon craft a crude sign,
And it’s never an...

What Are We Protesting For
a call to the west
 we must clearly confess
all of life is a big test
through pillars of sought after dignity
others will just do what they please
some getting knocked to their knees
what are we protesting for ?
 with billboards of promise...

With a remote control
Everything may be at your fingertips
But not human rights
Man with wisdom is difficult to control
Bribery and scandal will be questioned
A peaceful demonstration may occur
Protesting
For human rights and justice
The country is neither under one person
Nor controlled by the only remote control

Out Loud and Clear
Green and growing; educated youth is a warrior, helping country to grow and rise.
To prevent democracy from becoming a book of rights and crime in disguise.
To fight out injustice they quickly take charge, without calculating the loss and price. .

Why at our age are we still protesting?
Why do we feel the need?
Because the fire of hope for a better world still burns inside us…
and because it’s never too late to plant a seed.

If we can plant one seed of understanding
help just one person open...
