Protesting Little Birds

After the snow and the thaw set in, the bigger birds banished all the little ones to the 
higher branches of the trees as they fed on nuts and seeds. Big bullies lol!

So, jetzt aber die Fortsetzng! Ich bin seit 2008 Rentner und lebe seit November 2009 in Zittau (Sachsen), einem Städtchen mit knapp 30 000 Einwohnern und direkt an der polnisch-tschechischen Grenze. Dadurch ist es hier etwas "internationaler" so ähnlich wie Tier. Anfang der 1980iger Jahre absolvierte ich ein postgraduiertes Studium in Edinburgh, wo ich zwei Jahre lebte. In Israel war ich längere Zeit in den 70igern in einem Kibbutz. Alles Gute und hoffentlich ist es im April dann wärmer...Gert

Hello Eiken, thank you for your welcome comment on my last Senryu. Und vor allem über Ihre Zeilen! Es ist sicher nicht leicht, wenn sie so lange von Ihrem Ehemann getrennt sind! Ihr Deutsch ist ja ausgezeichnet! Kompliment! Sie sind also - ähnlich wie auch ich - eher eine Nomadin (hahaha). Auch ich habe lange Jahre im Ausland in der Entwicklungshilfe gearbeitet und war längere Zeit in Israel, Sri Lanka, Papua Neu Guinea, Vanuatu und in Chile.

Interesting use of imagery to paint a picture with words. If I may make one suggestion--I would leave off the explanation above the haiku. Your words are strong enough to stand alone. Keep on writing and sharing your words. Thank you for your kind comment. Karen
