Best Professionalism Poems

Living With Ptsd

We were all trained to push the limits of the human barrier.
physically growing stronger.
Mentally developing professionalism.
Improvise, adapt and overcome.
A war-torn country is the birth of a squaddie.
The remembrance of the vast desert, the lush-us green zone.
etched painful memories to the soldier's daily life.
We stand together, tall and proud.
We cry together.
The heartless actions we carried out were not for revenge, not from anger.
For the greater good of human life.
At the setting of the sun.
The dead lye at rest, the causalities patched up, the amputees are on prosthetics.
But we all remain mentally scared

Twas the Night Before Christmas In the Dispatch Center

A very touching version of Clement Moore's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. A warm tribute to all dispatchers & police officers everywhere.

T’was the night before Christmas, and all throughout comm.
We sat at our consoles, expecting it calm

the Dispatchers with their headsets, the CAD in high gear.
I looked at my computer, and the phones waiting to hear.

I started my dinner, the microwave to ding,
of course at that time a 911 call did ring

An intruder was the call, per the person on the phone
My dinner was interrupted by the ole’ hot tone.

The address was given, and with a flash officers flew
their cars going code-3, Their lights red & blue

Stay on with the caller, We need more was their request,
Typical, telling us how to do our job, was our quiet jest

Now this being Christmas, Santa was hard at his job
He could never imagine, being accused of intent to rob

2 cookies from the plate, and milk from the glass
While giving out gifts, he didn’t expect any “sass”

He first heard the growl, and then the dog gave a bark
Everyone was out of the bed, quick as a lark

Santa heard them start to shuffle, and knew it had begun
When someone yelled I have a gun, and we’ve called 911.

Officers set up a perimeter, and a command post
They had a K-9 enroute, this suspect is toast.

The Dispatcher remained calm; kept the caller on the phone
Obtained a description of the man, let them know they weren’t alone

Dressed in red and white, his belt and boots all in black.
Santa said I will give you all coal, plus I’m taking your things back.

Officer’s then gave a code-4, just a man giving out toys
We figured with this shift it would be Taser deployed.

Our blood pressure came down, still maybe up 10
The family went back to bed, to sleep once again.

Santa said thanks to the officers, with their badges and guns,
He said a special thanks to those who calmly answered 911.

Thus I re-heated my dinner it was only 2 hours old
But working in dispatch, food is better eaten sometimes cold.

Santa flew over the comm. center, later that night
And we heard him yell out, as he flew out of sight.

Thank you for answering all of those 911 calls
Your pride and professionalism make Holidays Merry for all.

May you all have a safe and wonderful Christmas Holiday.

Happy Birthday

FOR MA’RUFAH ODETUNDUN
Humanitarianism, humility...be your professed mien, Hajiah.
Although sceptics abound everywhere with satirical sarcasm,
Project a sanguine character, prophylaxiating stray focusedness;
Perhaps all their perspiration will drain in the sewage of oblivion.
Yours will be coveted excellence on your path to professionalism.

Banality is the bane of life vis-a-vis the hereafter.
Indeed, even you’d cast preference on the inexhaustible eternity.
Rue you shall not for sardonic conceit in your benign character
Till you reach the peak of your professional career, against all odds.
Happy birthday should not be excepted from this didactic acrostic,
Dear, and healthiness, long life and progress—all constitute my wishes.
As you continue to lead a modest life deserving of emulation,
You shall be elevated to desired heights till you sight your expectations.

Professionalism

This is professionalism!
Something on the brink,
You could say,
Of existentialism.
It's nonnegotiable,
This business of price
And dice
And "rightful" wives,
No. It's immovable.
The roulette spins,
The Russians drink,
And a bullet escapes
An unfortunate skull—
The brains of a brainiac—
The brainiac,
Always the maniac,
The one without
Any brain whatsoever.
And we sing forever
About rosies and rings
And things called posies,
Falling and fallen bodies—
This is professionalism!
It holds no friends,
Nor boundaries or
Walls or streets.
Stock goes not
Negatively toward
Professionalism because
Professionalism is
Undeniable and untraceable!
The road less traveled
Is the entrepreneur's road,
A road of love and sex
And microagressions
Being spit from the mouths
of the travelers,
Because he's an adventurer,
A trooper, a keeper,
But his own man.
He'll take a hand,
An arm, a couple legs,
Two new eyes, a head,
And take a new man,
Because that's professionalism—
Political magnetism:
The East collides with
The West to monopolize
Dares and obsessions
While North perpetually
wonders why it always
Finds its way South.
What is class but a
Hierarchy of officials?
Professionalism holds
No such thing.

No Doubt

people fail to deliver a job with honesty and industrious nature.
when they died, they carried pain and raised worrying rankles,
children never face them, they find the practice has no true feature.

no doubt, they are educated and professional to hide taxes,
then built a house of cheat for a soul to live in peace,
and run a race to maintain cheat for excessive relaxes.

they run community, society and the world with optional benefit,
there is no truth, they produce problems and a solution of cheat,
and seeking reliability, honesty and punctuality to maintain a cheat set.

Progress is based on cheat to produce positive and approachable manner,
they deliver a trustworthy service with 100% warranty to build trust,
if you pay cash, very good, if you need a receipt you pay tax for scanner.

Religion, politics, education; justice based on professionalism,
criminality is growing in wildness mercy and forgiveness is Godism.

Frustrated Incorporated Intro

Disclaimer..... This poem has nothing to do with a job of any sort... It's all about
love. Love is a job that sometimes we don't ask for.

I'm an employee at Frustrated Incorporated.

Well I should say an ex employee,

I was not looking for work and on the spot,

This man hired me. He tried to fire me,

Many, many times but I guess I was the

Best to work on his assembly line.

He planned that I would be a temporary worker,

But he made me permanent. The duties for this

Job I had no problems learning them and he

Started firing the others on the assembly line.

He wanted to be all mine. Then he got used

To me and all of a sudden he stopped supplying

My work needs. I began to hate him and talk

About him in front and behind his back. The man

Just did not like that. He called me to the office

Over and over again to find out what was wrong

With him. I responded you already know, dude

I just gotta go. I don't work for him no more

But He keeps calling me back for raw materials

Although he treated me inferior, I deserve

Better. So, I moved on to work for another man

But the head of Frustrated Incorporated keeps

Calling. I'm not going back to that mistreatment,

In courtesy and professionalism he falls delinquent.

Hang up your jersey, honey
No one can follow you after Jackie Robinson

Major League Baseball was uplifted into the outer sphere
When Jackie Robinson was brave enough
And brazen enough to try….

Major League Baseball had been closed to people of color
Jackie’s prowess, professionalism and success changed
The way people in the USA thought about all sports.

Thank goodness.
He paved the way for
black football players and basketball players too

I wonder if he ever knew?

There's a Message In the Music

"Before the pianist sit's on her stool", his or her professionalism is admire by the capture
of the audience appreciation as she tickle's the ivory and shows the "Golden Rule".
The golden rule dictate's a Message of being overwhelm by that certian sound that makes
us dance and make's us enjoy the quanity of feeling's, if the music is about romance. But
when the music brings a tapping of the feet's or a praising dance unto happiness or a slow
dance into someone arm of softness, "there's a message in the music", and its the sound
of loftiness. Now she play's her piano so expressily the facial expression is a message of
within itself. The message being, that the seriousness of detail that makes one understand
the reason to clap my hand. "Do you understand".
Do you and the countless number of people, all with different varitie's of musicical taste,
ever feel a oracle of joy and austustic appreciation to your own detail to clearily get the
message. Life and sin - has a message all of its own. One can bring death into a pit of misery
while the other (Life) reveals a message of Music of omnipency unto a history of musical in-
finity;

Feeling Much Better Fast

I hear that you have been a bit under the weather, not feeling as well as you’d like.

No doubt, your illness took the most inopportune time to strike.

Here’s hoping your illness totally and permanently disappears real fast.

The handwriting is on the wall, soon you’ll be feeling much better and back to your regular tasks.

All the energy and professionalism you possess will again take center stage.

Hopefully, these few words will help with your recovery in some small way.

They are written to help speed up the process of you feeling much better fast.

Periodically refer to the words of this poem, so you feeling much better will hover and last.

Life throws us uninvited curves at times, ones sometimes tough for us to avoid. They
steadfastly block our progressive path.

Thank goodness we, as human beings, find ways to circumvent and heal. Happy to hear,
you’re feeling much better fast.

A True African

A TRUE AFRICAN

A true Africa believes in hospitality
Not in hostility of his fellow brother
He believes in the sound of drum of
Wisdom in his ears for transformation
A true African believes in obedience to the law
Not in disloyalty of the brotherhood
A true African believes in unity and progress

A true African protect his home and household
He is a good leader filled with love and passion
He never shade innocent blood but sing of oneness
A true African stands for peace
He stand for success and liberty
A true African is brave and couragerous
He endures hardship with hope and determination
He is faithful against all life odds and pains

A true African is inspired professionalism
He guide, protects, secure and manage his home
He stands like the Iroko, unshaken by the wind
He looks after his offspring like motherhen does
He is a lion of the forest so strong amidst pains
Though he may fall, but he rises
He is a true black brother in lifeline
A true black brewries perfection
A true black skin is an educated fellow.

Under the rain and sun, he walks diligently for a common goal for peace, love, underserved kindness
And smooth drive to rekindled prosperity
A true African believe in love
A true African believe in loyalty and orderliness
He welcomes division of labour among his brothers
He never slack nor is he sluggish with his time
A true African is humble, disciplined and mighty

We are Africans, we are truly Africans,
We stand and believe in our cultural values
Abundence and unity in cultural diversity
Our soil are fertile and welcoming
We are the world, Africans are the world
Gay marriage is not in our blood neither lesbianism
And homosexualism part of our culture
We have culture and tradition to protect and
To pass to posterity after we are gone
Our forebears guide us from behind
Truly, we are Africans, the world see through us
Wisdom, knowledge abode spiritually within us

All hail Africa, all hail west Africa
All hail Africa, all hail north Africa
All hail Africa, all hail south Africa
All hail Africa, all hail east Africa
All hail Africa, all hail central Africa
Mother Africa, we pledge to you with our lives
Unto you our resources and love goes to
Forever shall you be hail and be lifted.

Premium Member I'Ll Diet Tomorrow

Hanging clothes on your exercise bike, driving to the corner store
Taking the elevator up one floor, snacking while watching TV evermore.
Eating ice cream out of the carton, overloading the dinner plate
Eating sweets and drinking sodas, always wanting to exercise just a little more?
I'll diet tomorrow. Hospital appointment and you get examined by a young nurse
half your age. The dreaded words take off your shirt-no sucking in the
belly flab now. Your fat and exposed and somewhat embarrassed. The room is
cold and your sitting fat and old. Professionalism is not to comment on the
subject at hand. She's done and you race to put on your shirt blaming the
coolness of the room. The doctor comes in and reminds you that even losing a
few pounds will be beneficial. On the way home you stop by a fast food drive through
and order a mega size meal for lunch with the big BIG soda. Driving home
sucking up that bubbly sensation of sweet sinful satisfaction you make
a mental note to self. I'll diet tomorrow.

Unprofessional Soldier?

If to you professionalism of a soldier

is robotic obedience to orders for murder,

                                then count me out,

                                    I'm not a lout,

I'm much more than that silver dog tag's serial number !

Frustration and Consolation

Pastor,I`m tired,I don`t think I can take this
anymore;it`s not fair to me as a lady.

I`m tired and sick of searching for job that is
elusive as rain in drought,
I don`t think there is a place for honest and righteous
people in this present world,
I can`t imagine toiling and roving round the
street for four years with a degree that does nothing;
Take or leave it ,It is nauseating and depressing,
This appalling situation is demoralizing,
Anymore of this can send me into abyss of no return;
It`s not fair for employers to be demanding;
outrageous demands,which are unorthodox to
professionalism,before given employment;
To me, the world has gone upside down,
crazy and cold...
As a lady,I can`t lose my dignity for a piece
of meat which is rightfully mine,
for me to stoop so low and beg to be defiled,
never!

Daughter,I know it`s not easy,please endure,
and have faith, tarry a little while.

I know that your present situation is tough and annoying,
It`s not easy for a dignified and sincere lady like you
in a lawless, corrupt and egocentric society like ours,
Please, hold on to your faith, don`t lose it
Endure!,for your heavenly father sees all these,
And HE will reward you accordingly and as soon as possible;
Have faith in Him that can destroy and create,
Have faith in Him that detests sin and loves righteousness
Have faith in Him that does not abandon his own,
Have faith in Him that has the key of life and death,
Tarry a little,He will surely surprise you and reward you,
While you are here on the surface of the earth.

Village Hero

These days I am the village hero indeed
Water immaculately fetched in a flash
As if by a magic spell, I do.
The house is spotlessly clean
All thanks to my devoted hands
That scrub and sweep with professionalism
That secludes any study in that field.
That is because I am the village hero these days
The utensils are shinning like mirrors,
I am astonished to see my pale tired face through it
I am the village hero now, it satisfies me.
I sing my way through it with a
Song that soothes my heart
This only pleases the village elders of course
They look at me with wonder and respect in their eyes,
This satisfies me.
I am the village hero now when
Household chores choke me down and I find
Myself doing what old African elders applaud,
Huh huh huh huh God help me!
