Without Love We Are Nothing

I said I would stop,
writing about love.
But now that I sit here,
I might say some words.

I don't remember,
the last poem I wrote.
But I know for a fact,
it was not about love.

Love has many qualities,
it is gentle and kind.
But people forget,
what love is sometimes.

They think love is obsession,
boastfulness, and pride.
Living their lives,
forgetting love is kind.

So as I write this,
ill inform you all,
about the true qualities,
that pertain to love.

Love is the greatest thing that there is.
And without love it's not easy to live.

Love is trusting, and perseveres.
If you did something wrong,
Love will forgive.

Love rejoices in truth,
and does not support lies.
but most importantly,
Love is kind.

If you live in this world,
and do not have love.
You don't have patience,
you have nothing at all.

God is love,
that is something you must know.
Therefore, be mindful,
and learn how to love.

Committment

Like a stigma waiting for the pollen
Like nectar waiting for the bee
Like groom longing while in heaven
My love, I wait for thee

Like the crop yearning for gentle rain
Like waves longing for the shore
Like love longing for summer O again
My love, I long for you more

And I have felt the harrows of doubt
And tasted gall in glass of trust
And sipped not from the wine of mouth
My love, for logic is not in lust

But patient like the moon I do remain
By no storm to lose my course
I circle one star, to one planet pertain
My love and all its intercourse.

Premium Member Love-Anchored Relationship

Reaching down to offer eternal life
the Saviour gave Himself, oh precious gift
midst guilt-condemning sins, awfully rife
drawing me nigh toward heaven uplift
with love's pardon from iniquity strife.

So loved to enjoy peaceful freedom grant
my soul abides in Christ blissfully now
along faith with ministerial implant
blest to fulfill service-commitment vow
fortified to silence distressful rant.

Vibrant relationship marked by trust
tied around grand divine* partnership bond
abounding love, spiritually robust
midst fellowship which to prayers respond
for faithful stewardship needing grace-must.

Grateful for loving moments to reach-out
my heart worships God, Who supplies great grace
cheering me as I share, smiting pain pout…
He anchors my steps upon wisdom’s brace
letting me win in every righteous bout.

*2Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

The Importance of the Alternative Perspective

Importance of the Alternative Perspective

Contortions of my sentient being
Distortions of my inclinations to dream
Proportions of truth deciphering what it all means
Abortions of opinion as things are not always as they seem

Embellishments of truth displayed on the evening news
An inelegance that’s uncouth waiting for uncivilised cues
An epiphany of untold magnitude seen in awestruck colours of light and hues
A litany of criminal activity revealed by a complex set of clues

The vibrant laughter of children free from care or thought or sorrow
The vagrant daughter of an aristocrat whose forced to beg and borrow
The fragrant spice of delicate refine that contemplated living for tomorrow
The content found on television devoid of depth and so very hollow

Renewed graces of a man given a second chance at living
Perused statements of an intellect whose ideas are always giving
Confused looks from a stern command who remains perpetually unforgiving
The innocent intentions of a naive soul who stakes his fate on wishing

An ordained priest of benevolence preaching love to his fellow man
The contained feast of eloquence as a poet reaches linguistic highs
The engrained yeast of vigilance pacing back and forward as she cries
While the deranged beast of malevolence plots an innocent souls demise

Should we contain the urge to purge our souls from all this hate ?
Or simply refrain to complain at all lest we get locked out of Heavens gate?
Can we pertain noble incline in the workings of the human mind?
Or is the most essential attribute to remain above all else to be kind?

Tears Too Bold

I cannot help but marvel
At the strength this small boy knows
In the crevices of his safest place
A heavy evil grows
At black when babe doth close his eyes
To what does his grimace pertain?
When other boys drift off to sleep
Does he cry awake in pain?
Dreams call out in sweet and soft
But dark hands tighten their hold
Refreshing reminders on frail dear's arms
And once more; wet tears too bold.

Prejudice

Beautiful ponder how you meander
in all constraints of unmeasurable tender
you are mine.
And I shall keep you close.

Panjandrum is not your domain
so bear no false witness my friend
for I know thee well my perpetual self.
Misunderstood as you are,
in love we shall pertain.
And I shall keep you close.

Make no sacrifice to past missed
nor give offering from here to eternity
for you owe nothing to the disdain of prejudice.
Only beauty will keep you.
And I shall keep you close.

Gender Bender

Is it really anyone’s business
What about this gender thing
Does it pertain to likeness
Does it even mean a thing

If you’re intimate it matters
But that’s your business too
Everybody wants to know
Are they intimate with you

Your boss, your government
Why do they even care
They always want to know
What you’re packing under there

On a job application …
Isn’t that discrimination?
Why do they want that information?
Is the job fornication?

A little box is labeled gender
No, I usually just say
And when it’s labeled sex
I answer anyway

Sometimes I say seldom
Or … refer to marital status
Twice on Sundays
Or … never just for gratis

Well, come on now, really
What do they expect?
Will they take my word for it?
Are they going to check?

psyches of all bards and writers
synchronized crowd swimming in waters
yuppies and brave souls unheard by all
chanting audience in an imaginary stall
hearts we hide as words unfold
on paper and scrolls, always young never old
lasting ink or cellphone battery so strong
of thinkers and scribblers of prong
genetics of poetry or honed skill
your poetry in a song that inspires and fill

only the strong survives and remain
filaments of musing, project and pertain

poetic justice is justice for all
or no balance like a bouncing ball
ever and never will an artist to surrender or fall
triumphant in all writings, big or small
remnants of your undying soul
yours is the scepter and crown and tiara
  like winner takes all

Premium Member Brave New World

Brave New World

A 'world' it is and it spins around in mad circuits of loopy loops.
Has reached an infinite array of denominations in which foolish
insane clowns have taken over the asylum once more as bedlam
pretends liberation as the counterfeit currency of nauseating progress.

'New' I have my doubts though when fiddling with reconstruction
conjures novel aspirations from Holocaust to Hiroshima from pure
race unadulterated megalomania to narcissistic greed ‘all can be
done’ but the genie emerges from Huxley’s toxic bottle unrestrained.

'Brave' should pertain to courage when golden means and common
sense of virtue defaced by ugly grimaces facades mascara of tainted
moderation succumbs to mediocrity construed by disingenuous evil.
An aberration of jesters plotting naked feasts of blinded engineering.

Temptation is an ancient theme and just because we are capable to
plot our own demise does not preclude some hesitation or valid
inhibition as courage must incorporate the rationale. Not to follow in
wolf’s clothing a script of Faustian cloning just because we can.

Manipulation of chromosomes through twisted recombining helices
as a stairway to hell gave us Dolly the sheep. Another incarnation
braying ‘Give me body parts’ to harvest stem cells modified amino
acids like little devils on steroids and protein shakes of unpredictability.

The most cunning argument for creating whole new persons brought
to the fore the notion that if we the ‘good ones’ do not follow science
to create what evolution failed to build from nature’s garden and God’s
promise then the malign others surely will and consequently all is lost.

The mind boggles in the light of self-righteousness and the delusion
that refusal and resistance are signs of cowardice and the misconception
that two or numerous wrongs result in right and law when duty could
prevail as guardian for another world of sanity and accepting our limits.

The thought police and miscreant paradigms of Dolly’s dogma will surely
try to silence my opinion that courage has another merit than the scientific
infestation that my mind and brain needs to be cloned in order to restrain
my voice of caution but when I shout ‘enough’ at least my dignity remains.

Police State

Someone asked me once what exactly is it that separates us from the socially elite or the ruling class,
and the answer she said would require real thought and that until I answered I could not pass.

It also could not pertain to a wise saying people use in passing or a notion or a clever line to sum it all up or cynically encompass it all,
but that the answer had to be definitive, direct and pertain to the actual tool used for this segregation or mildly put separation and that seeing the answer and knowing where very different but finally with the answer I must still stand tall.

Would it be crazy that the answer or name could be considered a real State or more over applicably characterized as the the 51st State but the main one of the many exceptions that comprise this State and many more like exemptions in that State is that it has no boundaries and no border,
And in politics demands for a strict criminal justice system by this socially elite especially in relation to violent and property crime as they described and through stricter criminal penalties against the have not's and then the have not's treated as depraved is this real definition of law and order.

So after very deep unbiased and original thought and after seeing all that's going on from Dallas and even many other country's and even far away in Nice
I believed that now I know the answer and I said to her "Police".

She let me pass....

A People-Centred Philosophy

The first Magna Carta initiated and asserted,
The people-centred philosophy which was budding:
‘Cos if the law is not a moral prescription of human rights,
Then it's just an ego-trip for a any monarchy’s plights.

After life’s origin with the big-bang,
Came matter, plants and animals;
And then apes preceded neanderthals,
When *****neanderthalensis were a gang.

*****sapiens then hit the scene,
Began to practice agriculture in 10000 BC,
And after that a process of civilisation ignited,
The law and order in the land in which we all can be.

And of course with law and order,
Comes creativity, art and industry;
An innate ability to express ourselves,
For greater relativity.

But the original political system,
Just consisted of a king with a crown,
Who was worshipped and adored:
Until his problem was this renown.

The people were disgruntled,
So rebelled against King John,
Who signed the Magna Carta,
Which said that he too was the law under.

So the law then began to pertain to moral values,
And humanism and atheism were for the first time aired,
Because John’s sins were no longer judged by God,
After his life and death, but by people who cared.

Philosophy has burgeoned from that point on,
From Albert the Great’s theory of justice and natural law,
To Descarte’s Heliocentrism and dualistic rationalism,
Which developed into individualism and existentialism.

Ideology matters to the evolutionary process of law,
As the law is either against people, or for them;
And before 1215 it never was the people’s abstract security,
But was rather their daily unhappiness and misery.

Humanity is so much better off for the Magna Carta,
Ourselves, America, Australia and all the world,
‘Cos each individual has human rights, worth and dignity,
As it wrought a change of diplomacy and philosophy.

Love Mistress

An imported imperfection of his delayed conclusion of opinions leaves me restless.
I know I may not be the prettiest, I know my body may not be the fittest.
However, my heart remains the same, his love pumps blood into my veins.
As I start losing mental ability to my brain bleeding heavy quantities, my heart start hemorrhaging.
Blood vessels begin tearing up from my emotions, my eyes swelling.
His words burn like melting plastic, nonmetallic his compassion is synthetic, as lovers turn platonic.
It is hard to comprehend his love presence, when there are no immediate surroundings of his love emotions.
His actions are making me feel less of a woman, and very unwanted.
His presentation makes me hesitant, from the way his love is presented.
He is evil and ever so gentle, but he says he loves me.
He does not understand what his action does to my inner emotions.
Wretched in sadness marked by misery, embedded in love poverty he does not care how this affects me.
This is his way he shows his love for me.
Marinating in promises I get his love like an allowance.
He says that one day I will be his wife, so I stay in hopes of his change.
Again, he tells me he trying so who am I to complain.
A mistress of his love I became, I will not be ashamed for his love I pertain.
His love I can relate to, his pain I persecute and oppress as he overall abuse.
Pharmaceutical kind of love overdosing as a drug, I am his side effect I learned to suppress hold my emotions back. Like if, his words caress.
As I stroke his ego, I become humble. My pain is a ritual I know the procedure.
Mistress of his love I remain even longer, and I linger.

Premium Member What's In Your Name

Sensationally super, and Sagittarius son of John Spence
Pleasantly personable, and matriarch Maud Spence’s son
Enabling, exquisite, eloquent, evolving and enterprising
Naturally nice, no nonsense, and a nutritionist nobleman
Carrot consumer, constant comrade and cold-war veteran
Equitably enlightened, and just an elegant eggnog taster
Jumping Jupiter, a jubilant sundae lover, and just a jewel!

Comments: During my twenty plus years of military service I was always called
Spence, J. That's just the way the government does business. This acrostic is
about Spence, J. It's crafted on a combination of alliteration, assonance and
consonance sounding words. Eggnog at Christmas is my favorite. Having a
Sunday afternoon sundae at the ice cream parlor is oh so tasty. Wow! I just love
it!!! Anyway, here are some comments on writing an acrostic. The basic acrostic
poem is formed by writing a word vertically down the page, which may also be
the topic of the poem. It’s recommended to use one letter per line, and the
beginning letters should be all capital ones. Each line of the poem should begin
with the letter on that line and the line should pertain to the word or title being
used. Some may recommend using one word or a phrase which does not have
to rhyme; however, one may move beyond the basic acrostic form and use a
complete thought with a rhyming sequence. It’s also recommended to use
adjectives and phrases that describe the word or subject of the acrostic. Finally,
one may take the quantum leap and write a double acrostic where the first and
last letters of each line are the same.

Some Advice

I have learned many things in life it seems.
As in its very important to have dreams.
Though living life is more important, true,
Existing in life is the basic rule for you.
If you can’t exist then there is no growth.
Then beyond that there is not any troth.
Life can take a toll on your hollow mind.
Fill your mind with solidarity to be kind.
Take on things that pertain to you.
Beyond that it will make your heart blue.
Deal with each crisis as it comes along.
Beat each individual notion to be strong.
I understand that these things are hard.
They can also make your spirit scarred.
These also make you stronger in the end.
While opening up a life with new trend.

Insidious

It is intellectual dishonesty
When politicians discuss disparity

Both parties dance around the issues
As if the ones the issues pertain to are fools

Voting rights for instance can make or break a candidate
So why suppress the vote for some
When in their hands determines the candidate’s fate

Unemployment is still on the decline
Change and dollars are hard to find

Some will argue that my stats are wrong
But those are just opinions that are strong

Health care is a major component to any thriving society
So it makes sense to support health sobriety

Education is a big deal
But it’s being promoted for the rich
While the aspiring students get chills

Word to the wise

In all your getting get understanding

Because freedom aint free
No, not it is not free
Laws and legislation determines
The future for you and me

And voting is the top priority
It’s the stroke of the pen
That controls the politicians
