No one can see my eyes
they a covered with dark sunglasses
Dark as my soul and my thoughts
When life goes in grim backstreets
it's reflected by a deeper truth about who I am
My most penetrating screams are always silent
Why should life be so difficult,
where we wear a mask ?
The underside of my wings,
will lead me away into another reality
There is a lot of mystery attached to the theater of life
Out and in of different roles
and various performances -
placed in a centrifuge
When I feel I fall eight feet straight down
while, in reality, I'm sitting in bed
The choices are that I don't need to
to identify me or my own experience
with the content of my thoughts

Lili Marlene
In times of war, love can subdue cynical
(Men separated from their vocation, now filled with hatred),
And quell the beast inside their misdirected hearts,
And free their consciences to allow sorrow’s comfort.
A noisy silence pervades the barracks’ atmosphere,
Where soldiers stir, stuffing duffel bags with miscellaneous items,
While others reminisce, writing letters; maybe their last,
And await deployment orders for the Western and Eastern Fronts or Africa.
Belgrade, a woman’s voice over the airwaves is transmitted,
Allowing for a moment of silence and reflection for those listening
Alone; spiritually uplifted by memories of better times,
They seek a reason to justify this madness of sacrifice.
“My Dearest Marlene,” the pen begins when all hell breaks loose.
By bombs flashing bright, bloody hands write, then the pen stops:
“Until we meet again underneath the corner light,
Like we used to do, my Lili Marlene.”

Note:
"Lili Marlene" is a German love poem set to music by Norbert Schultze (1911–2002) in 1938, based on the poem “The Song of a Young Soldier on Watch,” written by Hans Leip (1893–1963) in 1915 during World War I. The song was first recorded by Lala Andersen (1905–1972) in 1939 under the title “The Girl Under the Lamps,” which became popular during World War II (1939–1945) among both the Axis and Allied troops. The song was first broadcast by the German Radio Belgrade station throughout Europe and North Africa, following the Nazi occupation of Belgrade in 1941.
Marlene Dietrich (1901–1992) was the daughter of a Prussian officer. She refused to work in Nazi Germany and was branded a traitor by Nazi supporters when she became an American citizen in 1937. She gave over 500 performances entertaining Allied troops from 1943 to 1946. Marlene Dietrich recorded the song entitled “Lili Marlene” in 1944 for Decca Records (US) and Brunswick Records (UK), which was released in 1945.
That's what I am
A Servant To Poetry
I'm dominated by passion
with Muses spreading their light
I've sacrificed myself
freed myself to be ruled
my total being possessed
by forces that overpower
my actions, thoughts
It's as if I am
alienated from reality
in my own domain
in the zone of an empire
that transcends actualization
Justification penetrates
as desires are perplexed
by this controlling force
that drives me to performances
delivering unquestioned joy
and satisfaction.
The possibility of making a dream come true it's what makes life interesting (Quote by Paulo Coelho)
Our elders say: one more day
to get up is one more day to enjoy.
One more day to get dressed,
to open the window
and watch the beauty around.
Another day of troubles to face,
to struggle, another big mountain to challenge.
A new page to read,
a new program to watch,
a new lesson to learn.
New steps to rehearse in the morning
for the the colossal performance at night.
A dream to fight to wake up all the senses.
Wonderful people you have to meet
makes you forget about
the wrong ones you've met.
What it is written,
sometimes can't be deleted,
but it's always a way to rectify
and start a better story.
Because I live,
I want to shout to the whole world
that I'm alive, that I want to fly.
Because I live,
I am a person that fights everyday with myself,
the monsters inside,
my concerns, my family, my friends, my job,
my what will be the next?
But I am alive,
that's much more that I can ask for.
Something that means
that I still can breath the air,
pulluted, but the one we have.
I can watch the ocean,
the sunsets and the new dawns.
Perhaps my life is not what I expected,
perhaps everything I'm living now
is not as far as I painted when I was starting.
But the years makes you go through unexpected
small roads, that one day
can become highways to run on.
Still young enough, deep inside,
to do many performances.
I choose not to act in the limelight,
but in the right stage
with the spotligh shining on me,
because I live,
and I want to be alive
for the next show to be played.
An old Ethiopian veteran of the love wars
once told a newlywed Kenyan kid:
If you want the infant marriage to survive,
make it to the golden years Mt. Kilimanjaro side
You gotta keep the giraffe standing up,
when the ecstasy mountain air gets thin at night
When you’re starting the climb,
don’t early reach
for the apex of a lovemaking climax
You gotta stay rock hard,
climbing the pleasure wall for the long haul —
Or don’t even shorty night come at all
Keep the flagpole reared tall;
because the minute your
testosterone stone levels fall,
you might as well go geld yourself
Premature burial ...
put the family jewels in a coffin box
Don’t bother to take off your pants,
might as well keep on your socks
Prepare to have plenty eunuch days
of abstinent nights
Too many failed erections
gonna get you shovels loads
of opposite sex dissatisfaction
Expect a bedroom eviction notice,
telling you to
get your droopy drawers packing
Frequent impotent performances,
gonna get her eyebrow curtains raised
So many flaccid phallic early encore excuses made
gonna get you tossed out of the bed,
and kicked downstairs onto the couch
Premature ejection is coming,
your woman’s been too long frustrated ...
doubts gon start creeping in:
Where you been,
who you seeing ...
Why you keep coming home
with your love sacs empty?
Those suspicions gon start stiffening:
She’s gonna wanna know
whose arms been keeping your bottom mind bent
You’re gonna wanna know
where in the world did your lost manhood get sent
If you don’t wanna lose access
to her intimate-starved heart,
you better start trying harder on keeping it hard
Learn to get a second wind of stamina,
too much soft effort gon get your love privilege barred
Premature pleasure aborted love
will have your armadillo snout soul dragging
Premature love not long enough
will have your elephant nose spirit sagging
Don’t depend on bottled passion,
pharmaceutical extended sex
Too many early evening elongated failures
gonna get you a premature ex
11:45 pm
Spot light’s glare, shadows rocking
Wooden stage moving beneath my feet
Worn of past performances, steadied for the new breed
Bottles line the edge, dead soldiers, lipstick
Some full, some not, some spilled…nice
She’s there, always there, a comforting sight
Behind the bar, eyes that invite and a laugh that sings
Keeping watch, black printed T, wears it perfectly
Hot as all Hades, but cool as spring
Not sure if she owns this or it owns her…but she knows
Sticks count out the intro… 2,3,4
High on E, bent to a G, this is it, her favorite,
the one that gets her right there
She looks up at me with that smile, that smile
Loving how this feels in her heart
And she knows I know…
The way she moves her head from side to side
Eyes closed, lips smooth, shut tight, grooving
Playing an air guitar now,
She’s good…following my lead fret by fret
She knows how…yes she knows
Maybe I’m in love, no maybe…she is mine
My music is for her, it’s always been for her
And somehow, she’s the lyrics
I have always sung…and always will
I play D’addario, she plays heart strings…mine
Mouthing the words to the chorus,
She is my silent harmony tonight, pitch perfect
This music is us, this club her world, our world
I love this place, I love us and I love her
And she knows…
The 6th Street I am talking about is in Austin Texas. It is the center of the musical world in that city. You can find any kind of music you like being played live in any of a number of different clubs on this street
There are four parts to this series if you care to see them. Actually there are 5, but # 5 would probably be a bit much for this site.
In black and white, I adore framing my inner thoughts, my worries, my wants and hopes… Words! a world of abiding renewal… a space of a bountiful solitude… a state of illusive freedom… a journey to the nowhere!
once nature bestirred
a smiling heart is echoed
great rapture bestowed
words! they have a world of their own! You build them, feed them on your feelings, your viewpoints and creed… As soon as they blossom and stand on their own feet, they escape your grip… They soar high and you just have to trace their wonders, listen to their fanning wings, gape at their outstanding performances while they are outgrowing your black and white frame and outshining your very thoughts.
Pounding of musings
awake is the wonder muse
the heart resonates.
Boundless power to free be
in trance, another soul be.
How dare you, words of mine, infringe the laws of the Haibun world?! Haven’t I told you?! I’m not responsible if a Haiku has expanded into a Tanka!
Dinosaurs just loved to take the floor and dance
On tippy toes the size of garden sheds
And when they did they’d sashay strut and prance
Harmonic beats would shake Jurassic beds
They tripped the light fantastic verging heavy
Their favourite moves were known as the galumphs
You’d find them all way down upon the levee
In tutus and industrial grade pumps
Brontosauri would impress with pirouettes
Making small tornados interspersed with gales
But the T Rex topped it all doing entrechats
Causing seismic action gauged on Richter scale
Their performances gave them renowned distinction
Although some say that it led to their extinction

While all they who are aware of your massive surveillance machine,
are covering their TV, lap top or whatever screens,
for that little bit of god given privacy,
yours truly has still been not only still doing things openly,
for all those devices with cameras and microphones hidden so cleverly
now owned by everybody,
especially now that I know that the NSA is monitoring me.
I'm still living this life pretending to have privacy.
I know that through these devices in my home, Big Brother IS Watching Me.
Now that I've joined over one million naturally born American citizens,
suspected possibly of possibly being possibly suspected of terrorism.
NSA, here is what you have to look forward to from yours truly.
I'm gonna be as grossest, as a grossest suspected terrorist can possibly be.
I'm not even going to mention what these gross acts are presently,
some readers reading this might be in the middle of having something to eat,
but NSA, this I say to all of you very truthfully,
you can look forward to My Gross Show performances 24/7, indefinitely.
and if one day I begin to gain any kind of popularity,
and you release any of that footage in any attempt to smear campaign me,
you are going to have to explain to the people how you got all of this on me,
with your ever growing larger still worldwide massive surveillance machine.
I look forward to entertaining all of my new pals and gals every night and day,
at the good old U S A's NSA.
Oh yes, NSA?
One other thing I forgot to say,
You'll all be so happy to know that my show won't have any commercial breaks.

Born wearing ballet shoes
without knowing,
far in the deep nature,
in the Sakhalin Islands,
a ballet star opened his eyes
for the first time.
Warmed by the love of his
family, he grew up happy
until his life changed.
He travelled without ballet shoes to Riga,
where he saw a new beginning,
still warmed by his mum.
A beautiful blond seven year old boy
started to be rebellious.
A worried mum took him to a ballet school.
He started to dance in an old Soviet school
with many others without names by then.
His ballet shoes fit him so well
that made his jumps popular
all over the world.
Swam Lake, the Nutcracker...
All the best performances for one dancer to be danced.
He flew away to a new country
looking for liberty, which he found for a while.
Money, which he never had before,
opened many doors for him,
as well as popularity and freedom.
Long wings for dreaming above the poor life he had.
Long wings for a beautiful bird
that didn't know how to fly.
Instead he prefered to be keeping fit at day,
showing his best face to be display for the others, but drowning in a glass of miseries and memories mixed
who knows with.
He lost his ballet shoes at the age of 45,
not far from the sea,
kilometres away from his home.
Alone, without anyone knowing,
even his "best friends",
he left this world,
and he didn't know how loved he was,
but the whole world wonders why
we didn't love him before.
Daydreaming on a glorious green mountain hillside.
Dazzling Carolina Blue background, watching white cloud performances.
Strong wind blows, goodbye forever!
Daydreaming on a white sandy beach.
Dazzling ocean green background, watching waves come in and go out.
Sandcastles built, goodbye forever!
Choka:
On a green hillside,
Daydreams of cloud performances
A strong wind blows, Bye.
On white sandy beach,
Daydreams of watching waves splash.
Sandcastles gone, Bye.
Spontaneously taking me to a land of opportunity.
A wonderous realm of possibilities awaits me.
Immersing me in showers of splendor and ecstasy.
I foresee a future so bright its illumination blinds me.
Spectacles of magnificence waft by my eye to my heart.
Let this awe-inspiring significance prepare to start.
No more exuberating sensation could be bought.
Where command performances are daily sought.
An exhilarating ride high on the crest of a mighty wave.
So very exquisite I shall create my very own enclave.
Joining the Elizabethan Trust Theatre Performing Arts.
At such a young age was my dream auditioning my parts.
Acting was all I lived for, being accepted was even more.
Life was wonderful, a good job and study I would adore.
I guess it was perseverance, luck and talent, I had some.
So get ready to roll out the red carpet, here I come.
This poem is dedicated to all my friends,
The loyal pals who came up to me with royal relationships
who encouraged me always in my performances, songs, dramas, poems and speeches.
And particularly my schoolmates of Sentia and Silver Oaks.

Our bliss should be visible.
Our teasing should be audible.
Our way should be walk-able.
Our mistakes should be meltable.
Our sneer should be sensible.
Our intention should be amiable.
Our rhythm should be rock able.
Our fun should not be lock able.
Our harmony should be beautiful.
Hence our life should be delightful
and hope my poem will not be painful.
And it will be meaningful and this is dedicated to all my pals.
