Servant To Poetry

That's what I am
A Servant To Poetry
I'm dominated by passion
with Muses spreading their light
I've sacrificed myself
freed myself to be ruled
my total being possessed
by forces that overpower
my actions, thoughts
It's as if I am
alienated from reality
in my own domain
in the zone of an empire
that transcends actualization
Justification penetrates
as desires are perplexed
by this controlling force
that drives me to performances
delivering unquestioned joy
and satisfaction.

Many poets can relate to that compulsion to write, I know I can. Whenever an inspiration comes, I drop everything else and pick up my pen... You capture and express that feeling so beautifully here. Nicely done, Frank!

As long as it continues to bring joy and satisfaction, it is so worth it. You expressed this well.

Are we not all servants to poetry? Especially when the poetry flow so much that you cant control your thoughts... A fine piece of poetry..
