Be still and listen
Breathe in to quiet your mind
Peacefully Silent
Of Passing Cloud
- Roger White
Unaware of the world below, a wispy cloud suspended between Heaven and Earth
drifts westward against an azure sky…
…blithely
As if coaxed by an unseen presence or hastened by a gentle call,
reaches the setting sun of the western horizon…
…quietly
Awash in hues of gold, beautiful and radiant,
delicate tendrils touch the night’s first stars…
…gently
A wispy cloud escapes the bonds of Earth,
ascends into the embrace of Heaven…
…peacefully
Rest soundly my love, and peacefully too,
Know that through the night's hours I will be here with you.
May sweet dreams invade your head,
As you sleep soundly in our marriage bed.
Whilst you dream,
Dream of only me.
Dream of the soft hands that hold you close,
Let your world be colored by the tints of rose...
And hear only soft whispers spoken softly in prose.
But if you should begin to quake in fright,
Be reassured that I shall be here to hold you tight.
I shall move my lips across your cheek,
And dry the tears that doth streak.
Hopefully you will sleep peacefully with me here,
Just knowing I am near.
So sleep easily and know that when you open your beautiful eyes,
I will be here with you, our hands and hearts forever entwined.
Headed for the tower
Watch the legs supply the power
Using a simple two-wheel device
Spirited competitive ride healthy and nice
This athletic mechanical dance
Traveling the scenic villages throughout France
Checking the rural roads
Letting everyone know
‘How is it holding up after the mountainous winter snows?’
Twenty-one stages to do all this
An international spectacle not to be missed
Late June and into mid-July
Townspeople applaud as the colorful circus goes bye
Bringing neighbors together
Sometimes enjoying beautiful weather
But when it rains
No one complains
About this strategic cyclist game
Yellow, green, polka dot
Shirts note which riders are winning and are hot
Tour de France is arriving at its destination
City of Lights gearing up for the championship presentation
Under the arch
They glide not march
Thirsty and parched
Knowing soon the accomplishment will be real
Proclaiming well done to the peaceful pedaling deal
Gargoyles stamping the approved entertainment seal
Hitting the end line
Everything finished and fine
Ready to pour the victory wine
While success dines
On time
Using the sponsor's dime
And listening to the Notre Dame bell’s chime
With nothing to fear
Until next year
When they come back here
For the Tour de France cheer
(In loving memory of Thokozile)
A shadow fell, heavy and sudden, upon our quiet reflections,
Breaking the calm with an ache too profound to ignore.
It seeped into the deep recesses of our thoughts,
The weight of loss pressing hard upon our hearts.
Once a shining presence, the pleasantest among women,
Her radiant gates are now closed to us—
We may no longer see her face.
We loved her deeply, but the Divine loved her more,
And now, what He once gave, He has gently reclaimed.
Too soon, far too soon, she has departed,
Leaving us to reckon with the sharpness of reality’s edge.
The bitter taste of absence lingers on our tongues,
Yet, amidst the sorrow, we choose to remember her:
Not in the stillness of death, but in the fullness of life.
She was a friend, a colleague, a trusted companion.
A sister who stood steadfast, a mother who nurtured with grace.
Her laughter echoed like sunlight through darkened halls,
Her kindness, a balm for weary souls.
Now she steps ahead, walking the eternal path,
A journey all mortals are destined to take.
But even as she moves forward, her spirit lingers here,
Alive in every memory, every moment she touched.
We called her by a name so dear: Dodo.
Forever, that name will bloom in our hearts.
Thokozile, your light will never fade.
May you rest peacefully, embraced by endless love,
Your legacy etched into the lives you transformed.
Rest in peace, beloved friend.

Mate, you`ve gone and joined all who`s above
heartbroken are all, of those who you love.
For whatever reasons was on your mind
must have been strong,to make you see blind.
A friend to many,father to a few
your family distraught,in losing you.
We have had nothing, but good times
i felt it appropriate,to spin you a rhymne.
A multitude of feelings, many felt throughout
length and bredth of the country, with no shadow of doubt
your friendliness eluded you,absolutely great
that is why it was a pleasure,to have you as a mate.
R.I.P. RICHY NEIL.. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
A joyride
Like that of a high speed rail
We may take our partners
Our small children
Or our old parents
For a joyride
Looking around
Scenery and nature
People and crowd
Shops and houses
Cars and buses
Highways and lanes
All are eye-catching
After a long time confining to
Walls and beds
While people are still hesitating to dine-in
Because of the virus
I love a joyride
I won't leave the outside world
Out of contact
I take photos from the car
I eat inside the car
I enjoy the hustle and bustle
Of life outside
Even though through
A small car window
I was bornt to this world
I was gifted
I won't leave it alone
Will it leave me alone
And I hope to live with it peacefully
Can I
I like to penetrate your soul too
Your world too
With my true love
Although only a little left
Can I
wished i was like 2 doves free in the twirling hollow sky, flying up so so high with no worry's set in my mind. the freedom to fly around so peacefully maybe take a peak upabove those golden pearly gates just to see , or have that taste what being free is really like , 2 doves setting in the sunset hwat a beautiful image to see deep in my mind , only if life was that simple , i think we all would be a little bit crowded to see the moonlight. , as time slips i fade into the real world here i call hell . one day peacefully with faith also joy i will reach that beautiful milestone in time , till then i have to carry on and proceed to take care of what is mine!, god bless the broken , shallow, souls here on hells ground, . smile because you know peqacefully in mind you will be set aside to fly high into that big glassy blue set mysterious faithful sky . keep your head held high . freedom is our soul its the key to happiness in the sky of dreams that come true. the angels sing you a lulu by for know to ease your broken heartached mind . happiness is the key to freedom like 2 doves sitting and watching that beautiful sunset!!

When I disappear I go so far from here
No one can find the heart inside of which I hide
Its hollowed and sullen now
But I’ve built walls and made a home here in the hole of it all
The soft red shades of it had faded to gray
Sitting alone here is not as sad as it seems
I find peace in the slowing and quickly fading beatings of it
It may not be much but it is all that I have
A saddened heart in which I sit
Try to find me
Just watch for the thistles that surround in protection
I will grow a garden here
I will make this sad darkened heart beat once more
I think to myself
As the last beat echoes through the hollowed walls of this lost heart
Remaining forever safe and hidden away from the world
At peace at last
Please Just hold my hand
Nothing to fear if you do
For I am going
To travel in the heavens
To a place of perfect peace

not listening to the lament of
the sea
searching for the infinite depth of
the misty blue eyes
golden strands dancing
on the whitish wind
we stretched
under the happy sky
white sand turning grey
what day is it?
on the edge of words
where silence disappears
pounding black piano keys
palpating the notes of the heart
perforating the window to the soul
she says
it is good Friday
my eyes were blind
then
pierced by the unseen thorns
of the night
violent fires of passion
erupts
in every conceivable
atom
we kissed, good night
like cold fishes

Obituaries like to say
About how someone died:
"Peacefully at home" and yet,
I wonder if they've lied.
Just once I'd like to see in print
That So-and-So passed on
While kicking up the biggest fuss
Until his strength was gone.
When Dylan Thomas wrote, "Do not
Go gentle," what he meant
Was not to peacefully succumb.
(I wonder how he went.)
I hope that when my time arrives
I throw a major fit
And that my husband tells the truth
If he posts an obit.

I can’t breathe anymore
this lesson I swear I already know
I’ve had to relearn it several times before
Hmm let’s ponder that thought
Why must I keep repeating the same quest
again and again
What is it I’m just not seeing
Perhaps I’ve no epiphany
Reading between the lines just a bit too much
Giving me directions I cannot trust
Accepting without exceptions
Although I must
Always questioning
I’m starting to see where I may have left

Tempting though not sweet
