I'll be waiting here
wading through the seasons
Seems I can't recall the
reasons you aren't here with me

As I watch the trees
turn from gold, - to brown, - a leaf falls down
swirling around, catching a tear it's found

Sometimes even love
is like a leaf that's tossed in the wind...
So lost, it crumbles into a broken dream-

Days have tumbled down
I've wondered how to live without you
Winter - summer - spring, - and fall - have come again

Trees are losing leaves
Each one had a story
They have learned to say goodbye, without the sound of tears

I have watched the leaves
drifting from the trees, then fall on down
without a song, to say goodbye.... goodbye

All the while, I wait
Just searching for a sign in the wind
Beneath my feet the earth has turned to gold and red

Leaves have turned from gold
and I am growing cold, in the rain
Tears from trees fall down around my head, again

,,,,

Seasons pass on by
But l'll keep believing
Hoping that the spring might bring a second chance with you

I have watched the leaves
lifting from the trees, then falling down
without a song, to say goodbye.... goodbye

I am watching leaves
lifting from the trees
gone, without a song......... gone, without a song to say goodbye........

Pastel Skies

waking eyes
to pastel skies
budding trees
these birds and bees
spring is calling
memories falling
in breathless whispers
of scented air
sighs of love
do not despair
i see you standing
over there
a shadow
beneath trees
pen in hand
you speak to me
in poetry
in metaphor
a hidden love
behind closed doors
a love like this
does not exist
i close my eyes
beneath these skies
where budding dreams
awaken me
in misted
memories

------------------------------------------------------------------

I called out your name, but I got no answer.
You had gone away without a word; no reason why.
I called out your name; echoes filled the cold deserted rooms
and the silence I could not bear.

Time has now gone by, yet I can not forget nor give up.
I live in hope that you will come back to me.
Always in my heart there is a place reserved just for you.
Do not let my tears flow down in vain.

I called out your name. In my mind I saw you
in a swirling mist of hazy blue, beyond my reach.
I called out your name to the wind that blew in restless nights
and I wondered where you could be.

Time has now gone by, yet I can not forget nor give up.
I live in hope that you will come back to me.
Always in my heart there is a place reserved just for you.
Do not let my tears flow down in vain.

I called out your name to the stars above me;
to the rolling sea where secrets hide among the waves.
I called out your name as I sat alone and longed for you
and the silence I could not bear.

         I still call your name
         as I live in hope.
         Life is not the same
         since you went away.
         I call your name.

Premium Member Pastel Sadness

I caught him staring at me
From the corner of my eyes
I turned to a cloud’s mist
His eyes had a grey pastel sadness
A white fog had drifted downwards
And covered his weather beaten face
A light vapour seemed to seep
Through his portrait, a sadness
That even Atlas could not lift
His misery seeped out and
Took hold of me, I looked away
But I had already painted myself
In his shades of grey, my eyes filled
Courtouring away my pain
Colours had no place here today!

Pastel Reflections

I am here with you
Hand in hand together

I am here with you
Watching .....the birds fly homeward

I am here with you
Raindrops fall upon our faces
running ....like tears though we don't cry.,

I see happiness ...when I look ...at you.....my love
Reflected in your eyes so big and bright

I am here with you
Holding ..you ....oh . so close ..to ....me
as we walk life's path to rainbows end.

I am here with you
Looking at reflections

With me your lover .....at your side ....oh yes

I am I here with you
loving to see you
when you smile
your face lights up with happiness

Remembering skies of blue
With clouds go rolling by.... with
gentle rain to keep it looking new

I am here with you
Now and forever
That's where I will stay .....
always close...so close to,you my. Love

I am here with you
Never really left you
Waiting patiently
to guide you home , you home

I am here with you
In my arms to take the pain away
I am here ....both night ....and day

I am here with you
Always here with you
I am here with you
Always here with you
Now and for ever.

Premium Member Pastel Shades of Morning

Pastel shades of morning,
glow as dark wanes to light.
Colors brushed in the skies
in peach and lilac tones
as dawn begins to rise.

Pastel shades of morning,
are emboldened by noon.
Inflamed as if on fire,
shining ever brighter
as sunbeams fly higher.

Pastel shades of morning,
darken throughout the day.
Amber honey hue wends,
deepens as hours go by
before the sun descends.

Pastel shades of morning,
suddenly reappear
when sunlight starts to fade.
'Fore drowning in the sea
soft colors will cascade.

Pastel Sunrise

At the birthing hour of each new dawn
Nature reveals the ambiance of her majesty
In pastel threads, tightly woven with her breath
she creates spectacular sunrise scenes in a tapestry

When I feel the rays of sunsets spilling into the air,
I count the ways I know you're there;
And I count the days since the light you gave me --
Once a flaming blaze -- now dwindles down as embers flee.
Then I think of you: how we left it all and said goodbye.
How it's so true that sparks will fly. (fires die)
Must they fly away from me like leaves that fall from the trees?
Like kites that go astray in a summer breeze?
Memories may fade, but why must I still live with the pain
That is laid upon my heart again?
When I see your face from the depths of sadness
I recall each place two lovers met and shared a kiss.
For I love you still; and I long to see you just as much
As winter's chill needs summer's touch.
Bring me back to life again, like fragile flow'rs in the spring
Please be my wife as long as the angels sing.
For I love you more than when we sat here side by side
And we felt the sunsets' blazing tide.
When I looked at you, how I swelled with pride;
For our love was true -- true as our hearts beating inside.
When I said "I do," and ever since I have never lied:
I'll love you still until I die.
Heaven can't undo plans for me and you.
Since before the earth ever came to be,
You were meant for me.

Pastel Reflections

I still think of you, in the quiet evening
When the sun is gone and just the moon gives out its glow
I still think of you, as I gaze up high the darkened sky
Stars shine like they did once in your eyes.

Looking back at all life’s sounds and colors we have been through
Cupful of moments we laughed and times we cried
Knowing that I’ll never see the golden sunset with you
Let me hold on to our warm pastel shades.

When I think of you, overcome with sadness
I reach back in time, those summer days of our young hearts
When I think of you, thoughts of your love cloud my hazy eyes
Our hopes and dreams stolen by fate.

Looking back at all life’s sounds and colors we have been through
Cupful of moments we laughed and times we cried
Knowing that I’ll never see the golden sunset with you
Let me hold on to our warm pastel shades.

Now I dream of you, in the mist of madness
I reach out and link your hand with mine, my peace of mind
As I dream of you I live through the steps of our last dance
Please help me have this one more chance.

Waiting for my time, dreaming every night
Wrapped in memory of once precious love.
I think of you.

They were seventeen,
barely out of high school.
Yet they shared a love that was as
ancient as the sky

This king and his queen,
to be kept apart by no mans rule,
made plans to meet and marry nearby

------
"I will come to you, my Love"
is what she said to him,
"and you must promise you'll wait until I do"

"Meet me at the gate, my Love
and if you'll take my hand,
heaven will be next for me and you"
-----

He went to the East,
leaving her to worry.
When his tour was done, he was sent home
a broken man

She could find no peace
until she got word he was to come
by chartered plane back from Iran

-----
"I can hardly wait, my Love,
to look into your eyes first hand.
Until you're home safe, I won't believe it's true""

"Meet me at the gate, my Love,
and just as we have always planned,
heaven will be next for me and you"
-----

While she waited there,
She heard the announcement.
There had been a storm, his plane had gone
into the bay

She fell in despair,
whisp'ring as her light was slowly spent.
These are the last words she would say:

-----
"I can't let you go,
I am coming too.
Meet me at the gate...
Heaven will be next for me and you"

My sweet, sweet love
I sing this song for you
From my heart and from my soul
I sing . . .

                      (piano solo)

      Now that you are gone
Now that you are gone, my love
      I will travel on
With you at my side, still

      Now that you are gone
Now that you are gone, my love
      I travel on
With you at my side still

And each new dawn
I remember you
And each sunset that falls
I will be dreaming

Mountains I will climb
And I will rest in meadows green, my love
Waters I will seek, my love

      Now that you are gone
Now that you are gone, my love
      I will go on
      With you beside me, still

Now that you are gone, my love
      I will travel on
      With you by my side

Each step with you, my love

And when my time here ends
I will come to you
Wait at heaven's gate for me
I will come to you

And together we will be
For all eternity
Just me and you, my love
Forevermore, my love

                        (piano solo)

Forever with God above
You and me, my love
My love, my love, love, love

I love the end of a the day,
when the blue azure sky is fading,
and the tops of emerald trees sway,
and pastel ribbons of clouds are drifting,
and the birds of day are circling.

There is nothing more beautiful,
than mauve and pink clouds mingling,
and there is nothing more wonderful,
than the birds sweetly calling,
that daylight will soon ending.

As each morning goes, I shall remember you,
when life was beautiful and simply unvarnished

I shall remember you when each day unwinds,
with memories of dances among our garden's flowers
As we became lovers through twlight

I shall remember you in each season
when the sunsets change a rainbow's hue
and kisses caused time to slowly still

I shall remember you in times of laughter
when every smile was quickly caught
then woven into baskets filled with love

I shall remember you in quiet gentleness
holding every fiber of life until you left
still holding my hand

I shall remember you each time I cry in the darkness
and open my soul to let your memory breathe
as the days turn to tomorrow and yesterdays wane

As each morning goes, and each day unwinds
I'll remember you
When life was beautiful and unvarnished
when we knew only love

I'll remember you, I'll remember you
