There is an island
In the Pacific ocean
Surrounded by blues
In various motions

The blue of the water
Reflects from the sky
Turquoise and dark
Either makes me sigh

With mountains of lush green
In sloping canvas
Varieties aplenty
Trees and grasses

Species so different
Grace this land
Where they have thrived for years
As it has never been manned

Golden beaches
Glitter her coast
Where the blue waves caress
Its where i sigh the most

Coconut palm trees
Figs, berries and roots
In glorious harvest
Natures fine fruits

Please close your eyes
And join me there
As you open your eyes
All you can do is stare

Where is this island
Do you all want to hear
Its in the Pacific Ocean
Oh how i wish i was near

Pacific Ocean

Beautiful water
Calm like the heavenly light
Beautiful waves

The Pacific ocean presently has floating waste
twice the size of the United States.

Pacific Ocean

i wish i could swim the pacific ocean and back.

and when i came back to sit in front of a burning burning fire

until it dried me to the bone.

and for my skeleton to be hung above your bed

to act as a catcher of your night terrors

and it would work

because you would know that i was magical.

because i swam the whole pacific ocean and back.

for you.

Fisherman In Pacific Ocean

Sunrise all the world
But sunrise over the sea
Brings unique surprise.

"How beautiful you are, so vast and deep; how vital to us all: Magellan’s Mar Pacífico, the 'Peaceful Sea,' so magical to me." by poet

I was named for my peacefulness
though at times I batter shores with angry typhoons.
So large am I that I cover a third of the globe!
No other ocean compares to me in
volume or in number of islands and atolls
whose various beaches I touch upon.
Thirty-thousand islands claim me as their waters,
and my barrier reefs shield people from storms.

Encompassing vast regions north, south, east and west -
such as my basin's volcanic “Ring of Fire”
and the Challenge Deep of my Mariana Trench,
I am home to most of the world’s sea creatures,
but please keep me clean. Protect me!
Your plastics accumulate in the “Garbage Patch”
off San Francisco’s coast, extending to Japan.
Precious fish are dying from the mess humans make.

Generally warm, I welcome you to my shores.
Surf my waves, ride my currents, and explore my depths.
Just remember; without me and my sister seas,
your vital ecosystems cannot be sustained.

"Pacific is the heart of the earth, beating in timeless rhythm- a silent witness to humanity's ebb and flow, holding the key of preservation and devastation"- ~~By Poet

Pacific stretches vast and wide,
the largest and deepest water expanse,
girdling continents, lying with a calm obtuse
but has tales of storms and mishaps to tell.

It twirls around its caverns, holding mysteries
that none has ever explored or fathomed.
Invisible to eyes, from all probing estranged,
she hides secrets like a woman abused.

The great Barrier Reef is home to an array
of live forms, housing oldest coral formations,
in shapes of varied quizzical patterns-
           a great maestro’s fine masonry.

Marvel of marvels is this mass of churning white
where pulsing waves dash and crash on sea strands
with tiny droplets grown into trillions,
an infinite mass that wobbles and churns.

Safely cradling myriad live forms in her arms,
she sings a dulcet lullaby in timeless mirth-
the same heard by generations through years,
                resonant till eternity.

By Grace Or By Witchcraft

All of us without exception laughed:
On the Pacific Ocean a raft!
Why would one big waters dare with craft
And hope to make it without witchcraft?

All the big lips in the small room laughed:
One saw a snake's fangs and cold beer quaffed!
A nice tale but the teller just daft,
My cash not leaving my pocket's baft.

"In a nascent world of life, a poetic soul forces in cool sea waves that ebb and flow,
the infinity of breadth." Quote by poet

Breath and vastness of the briny deep blue,
hidden universe on the ocean floor.
The largest and deepest of Earth's
five oceanic divisions.
It snuggles west of the Americas,
a world of profound mystery.
She tightly wraps her brine around
an extensive ocean basin,
a kaleidoscope of sea life, from plant-eaters
to meat-eaters, both great and small,
and a maternal, indulgent mother.
The ocean's rich mosaic floor
is constantly self-shifting, moving, and shaping.
For some marine ecosystems, a mere
dawdling pace is crucial for survival.
The temperature of the water drops.
Susurrus in the deep, in quietude
upon the feel of the poised wind against the waves.
The sounds and sunlight shower with a soft,
diffuse glow, leaving no trace in the deep.

An outing near SF Bay to a baseball game might ease my pain,
But a trip to the sandy beaches of the PACIFIC OCEAN is not the same.
You could see it in our eyes beneath the sunny western skies.
Those happy kids and I always had a notion and with dedicated devotion,
Our swift and happy feet took us to play in the park and go to the OCEAN.

To be drawn like magic,
There is no substitute.
Some experiences have no logic,
Like dropping to land by parachute.

So many years ago; seems like yesterday.
Like I, in childhood, playing in the hay.
Children flying kites in a city park,
Making memories falling on the sand,
Followed by sites of rushing OCEAN waves.

How does one say goodbye to the OCEAN, to the sea?
Her waters cover most of the planet, wanting us to see.
What could be better than a day with PamPam and CJay?
Or fog horn sounds in early mornings as darkness fades?
Or 'put me to sleep OCEAN sounds' so peaceful and soothing?

An outing near the SF Bay to the baseball game might ease my pain,
But a trip to the sandy beach of the PACIFIC OCEAN is not the same.

Wind whips ocean waves into a frenzy of frightening beauty. ~by Poet

I'm not an aficionado of the ocean,
Pacific Northwest beaches are rainy
and cold or too rainy, cold and foggy
or just plain cold and then just too windy.

Oceans are beautiful when in landscape paintings
and television documentaries,
in romantic stories of letters in bottles
cast into the vast sea by stranded buccaneers.

I prefer the sweet babbling brooks
meandering through green forests
in the foothills of the Cascade mountains,
and calm lakes reflecting Mount Rainier's beauty.

The ocean is both beautiful and strange
here near the mighty Puget Sound;
Orca occasionally wear a salmon hat
and no one really knows why.

The Octopus might be extraterrestrial,
which would explain random sightings of UAPs~
but honestly, in universal algorithms
of beauty, Cape Disappoint never disappoints.

When I was young, my mother used to say,
“When you grow up, go past the seven seas.”
She spoke of ships that sailed from the India’s bay ,
To England’s shores in the old colonial days.

When I first flew to Colorado’s sky,
I soared with the KLM in royal grace.
From DC-3, I knew not which seas I crossed,
Through Manila, Tokyo, & Honolulu’s place.

Now here I dwell by the Pacific’s shore,
In California, sunlit evermore.
The water blue, the restless waves arise,
For diving, surfing—freedom under skies.

The mountains, forests, cliffs all meet the beach,
Where bears at night and seabirds feed in reach.
The music of the waves sings soft and wild,
The days drift slow, the heart turns free and mild.

The beaches deep, the waves can sink a ship,
Beware the jellyfish on fishing trips,
If walking with a cane, bring forth a friend,
For bluffs descend where beach and cliff shall blend.

We woke up early to a 50 degrees morning….six o’clock to be specific
In order to make the 70 mile trip to Rialto Beach on the coast of the Pacific.

It was a two hour circuitous trip …since we had to be there by nine
there was no time to linger about
because Rialto Beach is only open when the tide is out.

The beach is known for it’s sea stacks…tiny islands standing free
once connected headlands…that long ago have been eroded by the sea.

It is also known for its tree graveyard…once tall, majestic now fallen trees
that storms have deposited on this coast
made bare and bleached by ocean winds…
against the dark sand…they now lie there white as ghosts.

Finally this beach is also known…once the tide recedes
for something very cool…
the starfish, anemones and snails that inhabit its tidal pools.

Walking in the deep and darkened sand…for two old people was a chore
but on we trudged because we were seeing things we’d never seen before.

People watching us struggling to walk up the beach…
might have cried out wistfully
“Look at those two old people…walking tentatively by the sea.”

But something wonderful happened to to us
every time we sat atop a ghostly looking tree
every time we saw a sea stack, a starfish or anemone.

With each new adventure that day we experienced along the shore…
we felt a little younger than we did a moment before…

Which meant people watching us walk back down the beach…
might have cried out delightedly…
“Look at how young those two old people look…walking by the sea.”

“An enormous sea contained in constant motion;
global pic of the Pacific Ocean.”
quote by Poet

I’ve trekked some of the Pacific Ocean;
from San Diego to Victoria.
An enormous sea contained in contant motion
sporting Hawaii and Pretoria.

Vasco Balboa first claimed it
for Spain, and all the land around
Ferdinand Magellen named it
calm, peaceful sea was what he found.

Renowned for currents, trade winds, the Chinooks ,
the Santa Anas and the monsoons of Asia.
I’ve only read of them in geography books;
Need to know more, request a Japanese geisha.

Of all the oceans’ waters, the Pacific stores
in gallons, some one hundred eighty quintillion,
half, or to be more specific it scores
over prolific square miles, sixty-three million.

In all my study, it is true
to my surprise, land o’ Goshen
a monstrous area of mostly blue
Google: “global pic of the Pacific Ocean”.

According to the Book of Genesis, God created the oceans on the second day of creation by separating the waters from the dry land. God looked at what He created and it was good.

"I am one, but we are many, we must be motivated to motivate others. Every time you discard a plastic container there is a chance it will wind up in an ocean. Say NO to single use plastic items, It’s a start” The Poet.

Such a dream, not the recurring one of falling.
The Pacific Ocean - to me it was calling.

“The people of earth are poisoning me,
discarded plastics are thrown needlessly.”

“They form a canopy, stopping the sun.”
the ocean, begging for help, "something must be done"

Dreaming, I explained that I’m only one.
“Imperative that it’s stopped, humans must unite.”

“The world must be shown all the damage and my plight.
you must organise groups to join the fight.”

“This is urgent, the rubbish is smothering me.
Humans, please see I’m not a garbage tip for free.”

“I control climates, create, oxygen to breathe.
Economies rely on me, so now I seethe.”

Showing anger and desperation, it would seem,
the Pacific Ocean intensified my dream.

The ocean like a furious banshee,
waves fiercely explode then merge to the angry sea.

I awake so motivated to make a start.
The Pacific Ocean needs me to do my part.
