Next to the river
Two foxes stalk a rabbit
As snow is falling

Dark rock creatures creep
half-submerged in clouded tide. . .
no escape from night

No Escape

Time ticked frantically, I had to act drastically,
Shadows started to blur, the turbulence began to stir,
The faint ticking from a distance, dragged on and on with perseverance,

Noise, chaos, intensity, struck painful poundings to my head,
Inside of me uncontrollably- anger had begun to spread
Panic paralyzed my every muscle,
Gnawing on all my attempts to tussle,

I was trapped among the viciousness,
The loathsomeness, hatred, spitefulness,
Roaring in the midst of the commotion,
He tugged his way without any caution,

An intention glared from the sneer of his eye,
Sweeping his way motivationally sly,
But then it hit me finally,
Who he was in search for, was really me,
So fierce and brutal he seemed to be,
He ripped his shirt off ruthlessly,

Eyes so firm- I’d never seen,
so determined and so intimately keen,
But it was obvious; it was me he was hunting down,
His eyes from green streamed to sinister brown,

Blindingly bright lights illuminated the sinister dark field,
I had found a route for escape, a big metal shield,
The hectic booming of chaos, provoked by this massive vehicle,
Stormed towards my direction as if they had seen a miracle,

Cries, squeals, shouting ... tension started mounting
Attacked whilst weak, I begun to shriek,
I closed my eyes, to realize,
There was no escaping route,
They stormed like an infuriated moot!

There's No Escape From Certain Things

Checking the lights on the dashboard when they flash and stay red:
it's the oil that needs to be changed or the engine that requires
maintenance, and in frigid temperatures who would venture outside and get frostbites?
A car is a necessity, a commodity and besides daily pleasure, it may cost a lot indeed.

Running to the grocery store through the backdoor when milk is low,
and guests wait for a fresh coffee pot and you put on a face not so mellow,
and much worse when you forget the roast in the oven...the bird you admire,
and smoke fills your kitchen...you just dial 911 and scream, " My house in on fire! "

But the worst one that can send you into havoc...
when the mean kid down the block throws a rock
and your window shatters and the cat flees with the swiftest animal beat,
but the dog gets vicious and runs after him by exposing his sharp teeth.

Ever forgot to send your mom a Christmas or Easter card?
She'll call you the same day knowing that the Post office won't deliver,
and what her voice will sound like? Soft or harsh, or angry as a bard?
I can imagine the words she will say, " Have you forgotten something, dear? "

These are just few of them that can drive you crazy like wild kids who love to fight
and make you head spin and ache until you sit down and take a break by a lamplight,
" Ouch!" You got burned from the splashing water while draining your steamy pasta...
you complain,"It's overcooked and not al dente!" And like mother you exclaim,"Basta!"

* The word "Basta" in Italian means " It's enough "

No Escape

What's wrong with you
why can't you stop
just feel better
shake it off
but don't look at me
look away
no one wants to hear
what you have to say
we don't want to know
we never see
don't have the capacity
so just say it's ok
we'll go separate ways
there's nothing to do
we can't help you
just keep it inside
don't stumble
forget to hide
don't bring them down
don't make them cry
someone might hear
and need reasons why
no you didn't ask for this
well how sad
but we said we love you
your not happy about that
sure it's lonely here
with all your fears
we'll be here for you
we said we care
but all this pain
it's only yours
it doesn't matter if
you don't want it anymore
we know all you want
is to give it away
but there's no escape
this is how you were made

No Escape

You could run to a well armed man
Standing tall with a gun in his hand
You could run to a ferocious beast unchained
You could take an airplane high
Or try to climb trees reaching the sky
You could dig tunnels deep
Make concrete bars so steep
Bar every door close every opening
You can’t escape , you just cant escape
For I will never miss an appointment
Your pain will surrender you to me
And you’ll just have to sit cool and
calm right here in my dentist chair

No Escape

The cold stretches of fear,
The ones that swallow you whole,
The ones that strangle your senses.

The warm sensation of blood,
The nighttime air, crisp and sharp,
The horror that warps the heart,
The dismay that tears the mind.

The blood curdling screams,
The jagged knives and bloody smiles,
The numb feeling as you begin to fade.

The way it magnifies every sound,
Each soft breath,
Each loud footstep,
Each raspy laugh,
The knowledge that there is no way out,
No escape.

I am not sure what this poem would be labeled, can anyone please help me? (I used a random one, it was required)

No Escape

The worst part of this mystery,
when the body dies and the soul is free,
they'll be no peace in the psychic sea,
because I'll still be stuck with ME.

No Escape

The tremendously strong
grizzly bear, tooth and claw
will tear you raw.

You hear
a echoing and harrowing
roar, what's in store?

You
contemplate your fate.
Razor sharp claws that can
decapitate.

A thirst for blood
one drops enough, he'll track
you down with a snarling frown.

He cant stop now in this final
hour, he wants you fully
devoured.

No Escape From the Din

Mankind.
Such a fragile thing.
Spending our days to find immortalised legend and fame.
We hide ancient desires: a primal roar of fury.
To walk in the smouldering fires of lust, murder and revenge.
A cry which echoes in the throes of time, an insatiable appetite for conflict.

Wars arranged, soldiers armed, hatred preached.
Love ferociously betrayed, decency executed, havoc wreaked.
Tap into human nature, the beast is unleashed.

Yes, love and peace make us feel warm inside… for a while.
Then comes the rising din of our flaw.
It always starts with one.
Innocence taken, anger awakens.

It’s a ripple.
Our minds cannot resist the lure of a cause.
Only to become ‘humane’ by sweeping blood off the floors.

No Escape

The leopard can't escape the zoo
No matter how much he has plotted
I'm guessing that the reason was
Because he'll always be spotted!

No Escape

She was torn,
Ripped from her core,
Broken and alone,
Blood streaming,
From her pores,
Her heart on the floor,
What can she do,
When everyone around her,
Leaves her feeling used,
She's so confused,
Why can't she matter,
Why is her reality,
Something they all,
Master,
She's just a slave,
Without a say,
Forced to cry alone,
Day after day,
Night after night,
Won't someone save her,
From her sorry plight,
Yet,
Night after night,
Day after day,
She'll cry alone,
Never escaping,
What waits.

No Escape 7-1-01

As I stand with my feet in the sand
the peaceful water reaches out its hand.

As if telling me to come in
and leaving this place filled with sin.

                                                I walk to the shore
                                                Planning to leave this world
                                                Forevermore.
                                               The calm sea stirs
and this place isn’t it was before.

                                                       There is no way
                                                       There is no escape.

No Escape

voiceless in my own speech
not aloud any thoughts of my own
engulfed in darkness
with no known escape
only faint memories of light
appear as hope, and screams at me
Don’t give up!
Not now!
You WILL Survive!
I want to believe that there’s hope
but it’s so hard to keep going
and it’s so easy to surrender...
