No Escape

voiceless in my own speech
not aloud any thoughts of my own
engulfed in darkness
with no known escape
only faint memories of light
appear as hope, and screams at me
Don’t give up!
Not now!
You WILL Survive!
I want to believe that there’s hope
but it’s so hard to keep going
and it’s so easy to surrender...

Indeed it is, "easy to surrender", but we must fight the good fight anyway.

Yes, darkness drains us and we must stand strong! Love your poem and the haunting theme. 7

A dark vision with "faint memories of light" voiceless, engulfed, screams, You have a voice. I heard it. Keep writing and screaming. "there's hope"

A poem offering quiet reflection on the essence of being human and sharing the affliction known as depression. Emile. #7
