No Escape
The cold stretches of fear,
The ones that swallow you whole,
The ones that strangle your senses.
The warm sensation of blood,
The nighttime air, crisp and sharp,
The horror that warps the heart,
The dismay that tears the mind.
The blood curdling screams,
The jagged knives and bloody smiles,
The numb feeling as you begin to fade.
The way it magnifies every sound,
Each soft breath,
Each loud footstep,
Each raspy laugh,
The knowledge that there is no way out,
No escape.
I am not sure what this poem would be labeled, can anyone please help me? (I used a random one, it was required)
