I refuse to plant mother-in-law's tongue for it seems to have oppressive vibes.

With its inconsistent stripes, you know it is not aloe vera! Aloha! Rico

Hello Milton, I would not know about a Mother-in-law I did not have one. What is the name of your church? Just wondering. Enjoy your evening my friend.

Hello Milton, thank you for answering my question. I guess not all mother-in-laws are good to their daughter-in-laws. This is the last day of our long weekend in Canada. Bless you my friend.

Darlene, the last church I attended on a regular basis was First Christian Church. Before that, I was the pianist/organist for a Lutheran Church for about ten years. I was a pastor in the Southern Baptist Convention until that denomination left me! Thanks for your read, Darlene.

Thanks, Gina. Both is true. I am happy writing, and I love my mother-in-law's tongue which sits on the right side of my hearth.

Thanks for sharing, Jan. I'm pleased that you could relate, and I suspect many others will, as well. My mother-in-law was extremely difficult "on so many levels," too. I need to write a long poem, an epic, about her!

I know mother-in-law‘s have a terrible reputation sometimes, but I always hope that my daughter-in-law and son-in-law‘s are fond of me. I go out of my way to make sure of it. I enjoyed reading this this morning. Blessings, Connie

Thanks for your comment, Connie. Yes, you are absolutely correct. But, after we were married, I'm afraid I had to put my mother-in-law in her place. Sadly, years later, I was her sole caretaker. It worked out fine because she treated my word as law! LOL
