Best New Beginnings Poems
Never before have I found such euphoria
Entering into this new phase of life,
Where God has taught me to love and be loved;
Basking in the warmth of such exciting
Experience, I give my all, looking unto God for His
Gentle guidance as I tread unknown paths,
Indeed His ways are mysterious and miraculous,
Nascent am I in this oft spoken gushing out love,
New paths open up in front of me, an
Interesting future with promises of forevermore,
Navigating my life are poetic feelings beyond the
Greatest sensations I've ever had,
Surely I'm grateful to the Almighty for my new beginnings.

For John Hamilton's "New Beginnings" contest
New Year’s Eve,
resolution made.
New diet,
I’ll try it!
Must turn over a new leaf
when the spring arrives.
Fictional write for contest - I never make resolutions and have never been on a diet!

The eve of beginnings, of new hope and belief
As the January month awakens from sleep
Creeping her way the new year unfolds
With optimistic magic for what she will hold
The pen has fresh ink, the paper is white
As the author creates a new passionate write.
From January forward
To December the end
Poets all gather to share, love and befriend.
So with winter breaking and Spring waiting to start
I blow out the cobwebs and open my heart.
Anticipating, the words ebb and flow
From what secrets I'm keeping and the secrets I'll show
Gathered together we write with desire
About the sun and the moonlight, the rain and the fire
To the last line we celebrate as a new verse is born
Whilst the muses still whisper from dusk till dawn.
Out with the old year, in with the new,
Welcome to year twenty twenty-two.
Hoping this will be a much better year,
Filled with more peace and not so much fear.
Twenty-twenty was the year it all began,
Covid appeared and we didn't have a plan.
Hand sanitizer, wearing face masks the new norm,
Keep your distance, no parties - all must conform.
Twenty twenty-one was supposed to be better.
The whole world obeyed precautions to the letter.
But Covid kept coming - nothing seemed to work,
Then came the vaccines and the world went berzerk!
The world was divided on what they should do,
Because the vaccines had been quickly pushed through.
Some trusted the safety of the newly made shots.
Others questioned their safety- get the jab they would not!
Add to this mess rising prices and crime,
And criminals released before it's their time,
Weather patterns are freaky all over the place,
And all the government wants is to talk about race.
But now here we have a new year to embrace,
Blank pages to fill with purpose and grace.
And though last year wasn't the best of times,
It gave me the inspiration to write these rhymes.

For this day I have unchained my past…
Insecurities no longer linger…
Sadness is an emotion from another life…
Anger is no longer devouring my world…
For this day the present holds exploration…
Confidence holds truth to everyday…
Contentedness consumes every emotion…
Desire penetrates my soul…
Every phase of life holds a great purpose…
If fear was non existent… courage wouldn’t have a face…
With out heartache appreciation would never be…
Bitterness is the first step to desire…
For every emotion we hold is part of our journey
New Year's starts after all the holidays.
Exercise is good for me and you but I am skipping Sunday's. We are not exercising today and going to Subway.
Being good on a diet can be just a crazy haze.
Energy why did you take off in a blaze.
Going with small meals puts me in a daze.
In life does this really pay.
No grass to graze.
Not doing any relays.
I stuck with this diet for a week and I am amazed.
No more dieting I want some s'mores.
Going to have a sandwich with real mayonnaise.
Sounds like this was all just a phase.

Nature is an Autumnal thief; pilferer of clinging leaves
Each one rudely swept away, but a tree never grieves
Well knowing in Spring, buds will reappear as sheaves
Behold the dawn of sunrise as we begin another day
Enfolding us in the sun's warmth with every golden ray
Gray skies will often darken the horizons in our lives
Intrusive, yes, but with positive thoughts, one survives
Never give up, just start over, despite improbable odds
Nascence and a willing desire is the impetus that plods
Inside our hearts, leading us to pursue another direction
New pathways to follow, after soul-searching reflection
Garnering wisdom to regard the past as a mere bygone
Spurring us to a better life when it's time to move on

the past turns to rust
Experience is vast, but change has come fast
For tomorow the future i lust
Burn my past, for a new tomorow i must
Tomorow will i awake???, In God i trust
regret torments my soul, but not my thrust
Against all odds, I rose like dust....
poverty and backwardness stood in my life
like a movie cast.
I died, they killed me,.. "yes they tried"
Path of greener pastures i did find
My pain turned blind, they lied...
"Yes they did", because i found purpose and
pride
They died, and i live to forget
Said "no" to my past, "no" to regret
Victory and honor I can bet
I left, to persue life's revealings
born catterpillar, turned butterfly...I CHERISH
MY NEW BEGINNINGS!!!
We think of these only at New Years Eve at midnight.
How terribly wrong we are!
Each sunrise is a day of fresh might.
With the setting of the last twinkling star.
Reborn, each morning you are.
Yesterday is but history.
Today you are its brightest star.
You are today’s glory and mystery.
Each poem you pen, that you measure
No, its not condescension.
Gems from your heart that we treasure.
You lift us to another glimmering soul
dimension!

Nostalgia lives in all of us; to our minds it brings
Enchanting recollections of very special things
Which we sometimes cling to, but these memories are flitting wings.
Butterfly wings! Lovely they may be, but these old times have gone away.
Eventually we must move on – and make new memories!
Grasp every opportunity that comes to you each day.
Invent new things to do. Open your eyes. See what’s carried by the breeze:
New butterflies - bright and beautiful - are sure to come along.
Nab those precious butterflies. Bring them to your loved ones before they flee.
Immerse yourself in loving life; sing a brand new song!
Nurture in yourself a caring and sharing spirit. Enjoy harmony.
Giving to others, you will feel more alive,
So fashion new beginnings, and with happiness ever thrive.

Newlyweds,
Ever hopeful,
With confidence loves.
Belonging,
Euphorically,
Giving joyfully.
Inspired,
Nuptial vows,
Newly committed.
Inspirit,
Now evermore,
Gratifyingly,
Surrenders.
And at
The beginning
We are friends
And is this
How it all ends
Such a beautiful sight a valley of snowdrops, white heads nodding in approval of our love. We wander hand in hand no more lookng back, just forward, stepping into the Spring time and the wonders of the new.
tiny sprouting leaves
flowers nodding downwards ...
spring morning
Walking together in the countryside, we stop and kiss, just so happy to be together at last, lambs with bobbing tails watch tentatively, nervously bleating for their mam's shelter . A lone donkey in with a full of horses with their foals, is so happy as he feeds.
in green pastures
horses are grazing ...
springtime feeds the eyes
Our love has stood the test of time, new beginnings spring forth. Looking towards the winter of our lives together.
a glowing sun sinks
awaking lonely hearts ...
love blooms
Summer days longing
tranquil winter nights
Approaching
Foundling When born
Summon all On board
No warmth around
Thy Fondness for my twin
Angels floundering wings
Descending flight
A death in my arms
As eyes looked on
The feeling of emptiness
Despair rushed from within
Now gone The giggles and laughter
Jacks we played small talk we had
I walk alone now lonely
Seeing those distorted faces
Cascading over a motionless
Limp body
I could talk even scream
But could not be heard
I prayed please bring her back
God can you help
Does anybody care
Anybody wonder where's
She's going
My silent screams go unheard
Time flashes by ever so slowly
Memories projected onto me
The bright lights grow
dimmer and dimmer
The final thoughts arrive
In a fleeting moment
To a bright life with angel wings
That was but could not
Endure the final chapter....
