Best My Inspiration Poems

Humor Is My Inspiration

At awe by my mothers beautiful mind,
when it came to writing I always felt so blind.

Literature class advised us to write,
for the first time I did not feel bright.

Sneak a poem of my mothers i did,
boy did I feel like a little kid.

Praise my teacher gave me for such a lovely write,
my mind here and there like a kite.

Lucky me open house was here,
the poem posted on the class wall had me at fear.

Suggesting my parents to skip that class,
trying to avoid the coming sass.

She read it and thought to herself that it was idolized,
her eyes got big as she realized.

Quiet she kept as she knew how embarrassed I was,
of course it gave her a buzz.

It was cause of that day we look back,
and my mom gave me some slack.

She later taught me it's as simple as rhyming,
and with the emotions I have priming.

Premium Member You'Re My Inspiration - Dedicated To My Amazing Mum

How do I begin to describe you
Such an incredible person
Yet even now you doubt your abilities
You lost your own mum when you were eight - you never ever got over it
You worked all your life, started off by working in a bank for almost 20 years
Then when you had children you ran a village shop from home
But also helped run the smallholding where we lived
You even had an evening job to bring in extra income
Then you began working in a care home and that had a big impact on you
At 50 you changed direction in life and studied and trained to be a nurse
No mean fete with two children to bring up
When you retired you continued to work in a care home
Then you undertook charity work every week still continuing well into your eighties
In fact you were on your way to work at the charity shop when you fell
You were found lying in the street …
Two bleeds on your brain and over three months in hospital
How you pulled through I will never know
Yet you battled on and are still with us still
Now you have short-term memory issues and are going blind
Fate struck a cruel blow when dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer
He passed away in February
Your lifelong partner for nearly sixty years
Your world turned upside down and now you live in a care home
We are selling the family home - gosh I find it tough emotionally
I know we have lost dad but I feel like I am losing you too
You are helping me clear out things from the house
Items you have known and loved for many years
Sadly we can’t keep everything
It must be so so difficult for you, yet you never complain
I just want you to know how much I love you
How much you inspire me
We only have one mum and I am so lucky I have you still

My Inspiration

Not of this earth
nor of the heavens,
Not mortal nor eternal,
She is the essence of a fiction
The theme for a song
She is a mirage for the wayfarer
An echo for the lost lover
She dwells in chimera
She walks a labyrinthine path,
She’s the aroma of blossoming flowers
swaying and dancing in the wind,
She appears with the morning mist
and hitch-hikes on a passing breeze.

Beyond mortal beauty and radiance
She enchants me with her elegance,
ethereal magnificence and poise
bestowing me with a Kumbaya moment
of perfect harmony with nature--

Unabashed she comes into my life
until now laden with sorrow and strife.

Premium Member Helen Keller - My Inspiration

Her hearing and sight were taken away
When she was just about two years old,
She struggled to become what she did -
An example, brilliant and bold.

Helen Keller was bright minded,
On hope she always did dwell
She was not only an icon for the struggling,
But for the fit and healthy as well.

“It was in the dreary month of February”
That into emptiness she fell -
She lived with her sense of touch,
Taking walks was her respite from hell.

She was seven when Annie Sullivan came
And completely changed her life,
An amazing teacher, sincere and kind -
Soon, Helen was over her strife.

She learnt to ‘hear' by touching
The lips of those who talked,
She could only manage random sounds -
Yet she was never mocked.

Under the guidance of Ms. Annie,
Helen improved in her speech,
She perfected herself in the art of Braille
And soon, she began to teach!*

She dreamt of going to college -
Her wish, of course, came true.
Her caring classmates bought her a pup
And wrote a verse on her too.

She had a group of admirers
Like Graham Bell and Mark Twain.
She gave her life to study and learn -
Her efforts did not go in vain.

Helen Keller was a great woman -
She’ll forever stay in my mind,
And I hope in the midst of her troubles,
That happiness and joy she did find.

She never bent her head, she always held it high -
She looked at the world straight in the eye.^

-------------------------------------------------------------------

* :- She taught people about values, once able to speak understandably

Her classmates' poem wrote for her :-

Beside her task our efforts pale,
She never knew the world for fail;
Beside her triumphs ours are naught,
For hers were far more dearly brought.

You'Re My Inspiration For Happiness

Do you remember the first time we locked eyes,
At first neither of us knew where our future lies.
We both thought the other was going blow the other off,
We both know we didn't start off that soft.

The moment I looked deep into your eyes I saw something,
Your eyes were full of passion, need of love, and determination for anything.
The second we had our first conversation I wanted you,
But I didn't want you in a sexual way, just the positive committed way.

You have that fire in your eyes and the heart of a warrior,
I was the battle and you won the war as a lone soldier.
The battle was for me lacking the ability to love again,
Your victory granted me the privilege to be in love without much sin.

My dear sweet love...I love you for who you are,
Not for what you're capable of or what's in the trunk of your car.
But I love you for the simple things that count,
Cause mostly it's the simple things in life people forget.

My future wife...I promise to give my all to you,
I would never lay my hands on you.
I will never lie, cheat, or break your heart,
And by the way...I already knew it from the start!

A Tiny Angel, My Inspiration

She was just four years old
    when diagnosed with cancer,
we were all so confused and
        begged and pleaded for answers.
We knew not at first how bad it
was until one gloomy winter day,
when we heard the diagnosis and
                  didn’t know what to say.

Cancer filled her marrow and
          pain filled her innocent soul,
she walked a path of heartache
            with poison eating her whole.
She’ll never get to see the beauty of
bearing a child of her own,
but the one great thing is that
                            she didn’t die alone.

She fought like a trooper full of strength;
        a little courageous hero,
held onto ever single breath until
her breaths went to zero.
So innocent and sweet with a heart
of gold to remember,
but I’ll never forget that chilly fall
                              day in late September.

We sat around her bed holding hands
and knew it was time,
              for her to say goodbye…
she was so weak but wrote us a rhyme-
She said, “please don’t worry about
                       me when I am gone,
my soul will be in heaven where
                       tiny angels belong.”

I felt the inspiration as I watched
     her close her dreary eyes,
it’s been over five long years,
             man how time flies.
The beauty of a loss lies in the
remarkable moment of peace,
her compassion and love for life every
                  day always increased.

She is definitely someone younger
      who gave me inspiration,
for I am grateful for the way God made
           such a beautiful creation,
She’ll always fly high in my dreams and
in my soul I shall keep,
as I say my prayers to her softly,
when I lay my head to sleep.

Younger People Who Have Inspired You

Premium Member My Inspiration

Laura Breidenthal inspires me with her loving support
A sweetheart, this cyber friend of mine
Encouraging me to recapture a more inspirational path
Which sadly, has eroded slowly by time

In all my years of writing, Laura has made me feel unique
Makes me feel like I have something to offer
Which my many years on earth have happily instilled in me
Life is like a river of fast-flowing waters

At a loss, I am to express my thanks, other than to offer
These simple words of gratitude I send forth
Laura is the sweetest loyal friend, a truly loving soul
A faithful friend, my loving spiritual source

I Found My Inspiration

I found so much inspiration
on your happy smiling face
with lovely eyes
I reached the high on the sky
Without any difficult race
For your affections!

I felt my heart in your words
like nature gets in the morning
With the chirping birds
I got a new light of dreams
In your work my sweet darling
As like the moonbeams.

You're so kind, so kind to me
That's why I want to be
A poet like you.
You have a great heart
With a decent soul
Darling, I love you!

My Inspiration- Eminem

Inspiring lyricist to many,
His rhymes are extremely varied,
at first I thought he was crazy, but in his stories I saw me,
trying to escape, always trying to make things right a little too late,
but remind yourself to never listen to the hate.
When you feel it, it' almost hard to believe it, you're probably destined for nothing less than great.
Then the pressure adds, you feel no other emotion besides to get mad,get loud,
I'm simply losing my cool, called a fool for losing my sense of humor because i decided to like school.
Just like him, I did it for me, I wanted to get clean, my addiction was any drink containing some henny.
I no longer wanted to limit my abilities.
Life though seems longer, slower, and rougher but now I can remember life itself.
Now I see me.
There is beauty filled with insecurities, welcoming warmth, but a predators attack towards anyone who want to question me.
Painful past, fake ass home, it's like I was taught to put on some kind of show, but i refuse to take part in that anymore.
Just like him I'm discovering my roots, who I am along with all the truth.

My Inspiration

No more cake for you today,
One slice less than yesterday,
Soon you’ll be able to say;
No more diet, HOORAY!!!

You Are My Inspiration

I stared at the endless faces I know,
But they all seem to turn the other side.
Every time I meet their eyes and try repeatedly to face them,
Then again they turn to the other side.

I uttered speeches which they don’t understand,
And sometimes they don’t give the chance to understand.
There deaf ears stopped the worry words of me
And give my presence a chilly existence.

Then it comes that heaven never forget me,
As it whispers into my ears:
” everybody has a chance and now yours is right here ”
I couldn’t understand the whisper at first,
I was hopelessly busy transforming my black skin to a white one;
Just to fit them.

I was put to the corner with ”the refusal items”,
Then was put again in “when needed item is used”.
Simply I breathed the poised air of their breathing.

I felt as I was dying,
But I just assumed my illusion.

Then heaven spoke loudly to me once again:
“Your chance is once again here for you”.
Then I heard,
Ah! A chance came for me.

That chance was not other then you,
I learned self existence and self reliance,
I learned hope and love,
And lastly I came to have faith in my own abilities.

My Inspiration She Is Born

My inspiration She is born,
And with a brush of my thumb,
I can feel all her bones,
I hesitate to hold her at first,
So small--but fills me with enough to burst,
Makes me swear to never curse,
Or let her ever hurt
Or allow her to wear any type, shape, or form of short skirt,
I'd rather choke
Than let my smoke irritate her little throat,
With the first bat of her lashes
She took over my world--like no girl before ever could,
Stole more parts of my soul--then any devil ever took
With her smile I'm sold
The fire in my selfish desire put out cold
As far as I'm concerned she's my North and South Pole,
The world revolves around her
I feel a little sorry for her though,
The bloke she's gonna have to call daddy is a joke,
Luckily she didn't get his nose,
Or much of his other physical features,
After all she is a beautiful creature
The thought of all the things I want to teach her,
But I know soon enough she will become the teacher
Promise to be on every bleacher,
Wearing her picture on my T-shirt,
Did I mention no short skirts?
I hope she has a sense of humor,
Because life is too short to frown,
Or not get up when you’re down,
A couple years down the road she's 12 years old,
Such a beautiful little girl,
Wears clothes her own,
Doesn’t care much for her hair,
As it wraps down in curls,
Curls up with her books,
Her words years ahead of her looks,
Just turned 25 and so full of life
Independent and free but still secretly--Dreams of being a mother and wife,
I see her and the love in her eyes,
It’s a shame she won't talk to me about love,
But I hope I've showed her enough,
So she can recognize it when she meets the one,
That allows her to be complete,
That steals her away from me—to give me a grandson in return
And as I watch him play,
I'll reminisce on these days,
When life was all about getting hazed,
I too grow old,
Get ready to leave this world,
In my death bed it's her hand I hold,
As she lies in tears, and I lie without fears,
I swear on everything I'll constantly tell her how she saved me,
Back when she was a baby--and even before
As I write this to her my inspiration…before she's even born.

She's My Inspiration

What cha thinkin' now?
Keepin' up with the latest thought.
Did you hear the last thing that she said?
Dialing for emotions on a broken down old set.
I could spend forever there in her eyes.
I think together we could sort out the lies.
I'm mezmorized, kind of surprized.
She put on the charm, bypassed my alarm.
Tacked on the back a sweet little prize.
Not her best, she's like the rest.
Gets put to the test.
Three times yours out, but I just got past first.
Not for me to say, I'm dieing of thirst.
Thank you for the soul parade.
That's when they'll say you've got it made.
Post script each line trying to explain.
While basking in the sunshine and rain.
She's a magic taste of honey.
Now she has all her own money.
And the world is showing her a brand new view.
As I sit and wallow in my heart so blue.
Thinking of her, but I don't know what to do.

PS I wrote this listening to Sheryl Crows Globe Sessions CD for the first time.

Ode To My Inspiration

Thou,be my inspiration, motivation and aspiration,
Thou,be my guidance like father,brother and mother;
Thou, be my close friend, lover and all my admiration;
Thou, mine hope,prospect and ideal advisor;
In harsh and easy, thou walks the thoroughfare majestically,
Raising high head glowing light when in low,
Thou,my Lord Poet, uplifting the juvenile youths intrigue,
Is thine purpose, carrying the spirit of never say never;
Some dispraise and spit, yet, thine heart of gold is not fatigue,
World doth read thee, thine fame soars over world and ether ever,
Known to universe, a wonder Poet from Bhutan,
Whose heart is visionary, guileless, immortal and moral to whole,
Working with devout fealty as in toiling tan,
To serve TSA-Wa-Sum from all his soul;
Yeah,methink,how bless'd was I then
To have met my true encouragement
Let me pen some gratitude from unfain heart ;
Shall thou be all our hearts of compassion and happiness;
There be charm in flow of thine songs and poetry;
Let none come shatter the way towards destination,
Let your poetic soul live everyday
I call my friends and Gods to praise thee,
To form the world of enchanting music evermore.

My Inspiration Has Arrived

My Inspiration has arrived

The moments we have spent together
Has brought back the inspiration I have been waiting for.
You inspired me to write poems,
Return to singing lessons,
To go after what I want and if feels good inside.
To know that I can reach for the stars.
You are that inspiration.
