I awoke this morning to the sound of heavy RAIN
Downstairs a lake had formed, oh what a PAIN
Off I went to fetch my mop and PAIL
Nonetheless, my spirit does not FAIL
I made a temporary gutter out of FOIL
(This weather will not take me as a FOOL)
Now I sit and dry my soaking FOOT
That’s black because I trod in flakes of SOOT
Which must have fallen from my stove’s air SLOT
At last the rain it has begun to SLOW
But, alas, it’s only been replaced by SNOW
last night I really didn't feel quite WELL
I tried to shake it off with all my WILL
with window open, hands upon the SILL
I deeply breathed fresh air that felt like SILK
which did the trick for I'm no longer SICK
Time and again what you write is my FAVE
They stay in my memory and never FADE
You don’t know the difference your words have MADE
You always choose just the right MODE
Whether its one of the olds or one of the MODS
Your writing is truly a gift from the GODS
Into my favourites another one GOES
A red potion stirred with sprinkles of Love
The sky was designed with a beautiful and pure Dove
A young lady found her beloved Dave
She couldn’t forget that Date
For he had filled the sky with Hate
I bring to you, my love, this GIFT
To ask forgiveness, for allowing this RIFT
The mistakes I’ve made, I know are RIFE
From on my knees, I humbly RISE
And tender my love, in the form of this ROSE
A tuppence, old chap, grant this whiskied SOUL
Whose mind wears weak and heart grows SOUR
Take not from thee for what surely is OURS
To quench a lad's thirst at this haunted HOUR
And drown from our swarthy souls the HURT
Morph verse is utlizing the last word of each line and morphing it.
Removing one letter from the previous last word
and adding an additional letter to complete the subsequent word.
EX: SOUL - remove the L and add an R to create SOUR.
SOUR - Remove The S in SOUR and add it to the end of OUR.
OURS - Remove the S and add and an H to the beginning of OUR.
HOUR - Remove the O and add a T to create the word HURT.
So on and so forth.
Hate is like a poison in my veins.
I Have to purge its awful burning stain.
That Hive of bees that buzzes in my brain.
The life I wish to Live insists I rise above.
For only truly then can I know Love.

. HARK the heralding angels sing.
DARK night, born, Christ the King.
DART across the skies, a star.
PART to signal Christ's birth afar.
PARK their camels, three wise men.
LARK and nightingale warble Amen.
LANK shepherds pray on high.
SANK and descended, the star is nigh.
Leach lessons come with rains of spring on soil.
Give freely wise teach without toil,
for soon enough the blossoms of peach arrive.
Embrace the flower, inhale peace and strive.
What follows is song bird’s perch on arch
and fruit when summer's heat will parch.
Seaward seeking...on a voyage finding LOVE
Empty hands and heart left me with none to LOSE
But somewhere southbound, the compass left me LOST
No bearing back or finding that....which I wanted MOST
Rocking through vengeful waves, blinded by the MIST
A Map of loves failed pursuit... balled up in my FIST
Pulled in wet dripping nets, with not one FISH
TIDE to WAVE
The coming dawn brings the TIDE
Across the shore, it spread so WIDE
Inward slowly, I start to WADE
It carries me in, with its WAVE
Author's note: This is just a try don't know if it's done right..lol....Maryam
A song is a poem that seized its opportunity to fly
A dance is a close-lipped soliloquy narrated by vigor
A story is a word with blazing sentiments that can't die
Every mastery is a tenacious failure
A laugh is a smile learning to be an extrovert
A noise is a whisper that couldn't stay in its zone
A race is a walk with ambitions it won't desert
Those who crawl out of their shell become full-blown

When you first stumbled upon me my soul was dull like coal
You never gave up and kept sight of your majestic goal
Dumb as a lamb yet humble enough to be led by your goad
Your hard work refined my soul and made it shine like gold
. HATE it when you left, I pined.
HAVE memories so entwined.
HIVE of activity fills my mind.
LIVE for you, my one of a kind.
LOVE sees all, its never blind.
Love is something we cannot do without...
to rove and never give or take, no doubt
creates within, a dark and empty cove...
in sharing love, the joys of life get wove.
Hate, in contrast, must not reside within.
To sate is poisonous and rife with sin...
a virtue that will bring us a sad fate
when meeting God outside that pearly gate.
