Best Moment Of Truth Poems

Moment of Truth

I was walking with two friends of mine,
when we saw a woman
who was tall, beautiful and black
They spoke lewd to her,
so she didn't speak back
In their rejected anger,
they cursed her in a cruel, mean tone
That's when I interceded,
and said leave the poor woman alone
My two friends looked at me
like I was some kinda traitor
That day we parted ways,
there would be no more days of "see ya later"

In a moment of truth,
will you stand up for the truth?
Or will you back down,
and keep your mouth shut?

It's moments like those
that reveal what manner of person you are
Will you be naked or clothed?
Will your spirit be dark,
or will it shine like a star?

Nobody ever said friendships are forever,
not when you have to compromise
your integrity in a matter

In a moment of truth,
don't keep your mouth closed
Let your voice roar
like a lion, strong and bold!

Moment of Truth

How much stark evidence, how many proofs
will be dismissed before conceit it fails;
and of His mercy decide to avail
this presumptuous species from faith aloof.
Flashbang rumble! A thousand unseen hoofs
galloped overhead, as clattering hail
mass-pogoed as if emptied from some vast pail
upon unsuspecting Tarmac and roofs.

Mercy, I swear I heard the atoms split
from molecules to create ozone
as, outside close nearby the lightning hit;
its acrid tang prevalent in a home,
which for a charged instant that bolt lit:
thrilling spectator as he watched alone.

It's the Moment of Truth

Soldiers in the line of fire,
we're mic for hire,
we're for the cash or die
so all kneel to the poetic sire,

It's the black king from the goddess
plantin' cash seeds in the garden of loot,
It's the moment of truth,

My voice is like a volcanic box of chatter,
Poetry tracks will stab ya' like daggers,
My words scatter like when blood splatters,

As I unveil my wisdom & remedies,
My human acts & energies tend to be,
The formulas for your life & deaths proximity,

I'm mic for hire,
Spectators kneel & scream sire,
Trumpets get blown
As I spread my message like a town crier,

It's the arrival of the buffalo soldier,
You seized up in the RHYME PEDDLA'Z culture,
Fumes from my vocal box will choke ya',

As i drop poetic rain throughout your village,
And spillage from my mind damn creates a pillage,

For cash flow,
To the non-believers I slash throats and bag foes,
I'm equivalent to spontaneous combustion
When I splash quotes,

In verbal warfare, I'm psycotic and I don't frolic,
With my melodic manuscripts to leave your brain spotted,

With my symbol,
My mind runs fugitive like Richard Kimball,
360 degrees from my left temple back to my left temple,

I spit cerebral typhoons,
Spoken words and hype tunes,
Will penetrate your system
Leaving deep traces of mic wounds,

Which will reconstruct your eardrums,
I fears none but GOD the almighty big one,
A shot of cognac be my serum I need a swig son,

While i'm deep inside the trenches, relentless,
Trying to keep my adversaries hintless,
Many die quick, hard & centless,

Tryin' to phathom,
The magnectic lyrical orgasms,
From the dark skin grizzly adams

Premium Member The Moment of Truth: Burning Or Refining

As exemplary as a High Priest
and consecrated as a Temple's Inner Chamber.
Respected amongst his colleagues,
reverenced by His subordinates,
distinguished, honorable and set apart.

Then came the moment of Truth
like the refining fire which may burn or may purify.
A Golden Opportunity never to be seen again,
but a situation to break or to make him.

This is Crude Diamond Ore from a glance
already anticipating to do it at once
creating an allabi with occurrence in France
and covering all traces in utmost Brilliance

Not minding his activated self-repugnance
certainly it will give birth to wealth and public acceptance.
If Life gave him more options, he'd freelance.
But with this one opportunity, he'd like to dance.
Having no qualms; even if he disappoints his fans.

He isn't to be blamed if Life is not a balance
and success among all has no concomittance.
This is the start to his enjoyment galore
but can be forever hunted by the Law.

The heaped pressure pressing more and more,
but what the Hell! It's just one flaw.
With a blessing so raw,
attached with bountiful Harvest he never saw.

Thinking of his glory and celebration
and already holding his blessing
like a woman in lactation
yet a part of him suppresses
his whole in castigation
making him feel so useless
like a man facing castration
forcefully taking his freedom
and peace in extortion

Just about to make the decisive move,
he resisted the push and forgot about the groove
having in mind, something to prove
he signed the blank cheque without adding another "0"

A Moment of Truth

A dark place
An empty space.
I'm covered in womb's.
Surrounded by an empty room.
Invisible demons and goons.
Speaking through the walls.
Speaking through the bed frame.
Workers of the devil
Getting off on my pain.
Searching for the words
Of a story unexplained.
Shadowed by the clouds and rain.
What my life became.
Voices echoing in the night.
Cruel, ugly, and unseen.
I wish it was a nightmare.
I wish it was a dream.
I really wish it wasn't
As bad as it seems.
Haunted by a loneliness.
Followed by a broken heart.
Child and dreams snatched.
My life torn apart.
Where is all this coming from?
Why did it have to start?
Praying to God for a healing.
Till infinity I'm scarred.
I've travelled a million miles.
Still I haven't found rest.
Folks ask me how I'm doing.
I no longer say I'm blessed.
I look at them with lack of trust.
Because, of all the mess.
Waiting on an answer.
For someone to confess.
"They say that money
Is the root to all evil".
Tell that to my enemies.
Whose intentions for me were never good.
Emotionally or mentally.
I could cry oceans
But, still, God is watching me.
How do you sleep at night?
Honestly, and sincerely.

The Day My Life Began Again Re-Write - Moment of Truth Contest

April 29 2012 dawned, the day that could end my life or give me a fresh start. The day I was to have open heart surgery, I wasn’t afraid, in my mind I either woke up or I didn’t, not a damned thing I could do about it. Thankfully in my hospital a French surgeon specialised in the procedure I was to have. I smiled said goodbye to my family that had arrived at my bedside at 7 am to see me go down to theatre. Some 12 hours later much to the delight of a much worried team of medics I opened my eyes, this was the turning point of my life, I thought, well God you brought me through this trauma, now I have to live life as you would wish. This I believe was the point of my life when everything changed, when my life began again.

Moment of Truth

Like an epiphany in a clouded mind
Lightening splits the sky after dusk
      Revealing hidden things- shrouded
      mysteries secrets no more.

Moment of Truth

While seeking
an explanation for adoration,
confirming logic for love,
or shaping reason for inspiration,
we often stumble on
creative imagination.

Today I awoke to my moment of truth,
I'm no longer as young as I was in my youth,
And perceived, later on, to my further dismay,
I'm not even as young as I was yesterday.

Oh, how and why was my youth so misspent,
And how can I find when and whither it went?
Was it hung in a closet, or tossed in a drawer,
Is Peter Pan really gone, boon companion no more?

As I woke up this morning, he was with me, I swear.
When I looked in the glass, though, a stranger was there.
Oh, I'll ransack each closet, every cupboard, and drawer,
But I fear I'll not find that sweet boy anywhere.

Now a new thought emerges, one not nearly so bleak:
I'm not yet as old as I will be next week.
So, Peter, adieu, sayonara, and ciao,
Please keep my youth with you, I'm too old for it now.

Oh, dear, golden boy, oh, bright symbol of youth,
We cannot remain young, that's the bittersweet truth.
Yet silver-fringed laughter hide-and-seeks in the hall,
And I smile for my youth hasn't vanished at all.
My mem'ries are young, I invoke them at will,
Like the spirit of Pan that remains with me still.

A Moment of Truth

this light may bring hope…
a snap of moment to lead to truth…
i am of what i am because of the truth…
somehow Sulu will rise forth…

The Moment of Truth

Heaven awaits me below the story ,
With that gasp ,this is the last breath of the man.
Wrapped up ,there is my last ride .
The world has been painful ,
And restless.
Unforgiving with lessons .

For these are the last words ,
From waisted tears and a broken lover .
Whose few wishes were achieved at his lower .
I led my deeds like a Raven undercover ,
Now the moment of truth awaits in the midhour .

To all of you, whom you are feeling dried ,
Prior to my empty pledges ,
Be freed from the rage you kept for me .
Never will you see my smiles ,
I have reached the bottom phase ,
A moment to draw memory lane .
He who with the crane ,
Has decided my fate .
Adjourned ,closed is my case .

Moment of Truth

Moment of truth (let's keep steppin)

Can't expect you to understand
You playing with house money
What started out as a silly bet
Is really not all that funny.
I've been in love with you since day one
I know I haven't been on your radar
There's never been anyone
To captivate me,stimulate me
So here's what's gonna happen
I'm gonna grab your hand and
we are gonna dance
You will come with me
as we go sliding into paradise
Since I first laid eyes
This is where I want to be
Can't you hear the music
Do you see me?
Feel me?

Loving you is what I was born to do?
What else would you have me do?
How else could or would I explain?
Why else would we be dodging the rain?
Out here on the edge of forever
What changed?
What changed is I finally got up the nerve
You got your nerve- now I sure do
And I'm here to tell you
We have arrived at the moment of truth!

I don't want this to pass me by
Hell it's worth the try
Maybe she will take a chance on this cool guy
I know he never spoke up before
I've fought the feeling waged war
I defeated my better judgement and decided to put myself all the way out here.
My heart is on my sleeve out side of my chest apart of my wears.
Exposed for the world to see.
I'm here to yell it to the mountain tops
Hey look at me?
Either I am really gonna step in it?
Or you gon grab my hand and we gonna continue steppin
It's you and me right here right now!
That's all I'm reppin
we are at the point of no return tell me you are all in?

Loving you is what I was born to do?
What else would you have me do?
How else could or would I explain?
Why else would we be dodging the rain?
Out here on the edge of forever
What changed?
What changed is I finally got up the nerve
You got your nerve- now I sure do
And I'm here to tell you
We have arrived at the moment of truth!

Before any doubt sets in?
Give me the answer
for which I been waitin
The breath in my lungs on suspend
As I am on bated breath
Give me my wings
Let's keep steppin into heaven!

Moment of Truth

Your curvy lips
And your curly hair
Makes me stop and stare
The smiles on your face
And the beauty within your eyes
Makes me mesmerize
Your waist, curvy hips
And well-rounded breast
Are my worst distractions
I've always underestimated your features
But realized it's all I desire
With you, I want to share my thoughts
My feelings and what I aspire
You are the only woman for me
The only thing I see
My love for you runs so deep through my vein
Dream of you in spite of the pain.
