Part 1. How to destress in modern life
https://youtu.be/dzbLuLzMWE4
A delicious languor steals over one
in the languid twilight falling over the meadow
Watching tiny animated spectrums
whirring in the after glow
Flitting among pretty petals
the gossamer-winged dragon-flies or mayflies
Fluttering among delicate filaments
the fine and flimsy butterflies.
Then also retire to admire
exquisite darting damselflies
All in all some of nature's soothing balms.
Created by God Himself, Nature calms.
Divine holistic bonuses for relaxation...
Look for getaways, away from
city/town noise pollution.
A lavender sprinkled jacuzzi,
rose petals and jasmines floating about
like do lotus and lilies on ponds
right in your bubbly scented bubble-bath
As ambient soft gleams of moon beams
seep in through translucent glass.
Luxuriate in the ephemeral,
inhale the aromatic
incenses of perfumery, oils and essential oils
Bathe in invigorating spa, joys euphoric
listening to choirs of cicada music
Relax and unwind in the famed Turkish Bath
wherein to indulge yourself
in steamy massage
Complete with the charm of the exotic
even if you don't live in Turkey or aren't Turkish.
Nature and such baths all God created or inspired,
and thus very very therapeutic...

Housewives peer from behind dirty windows
Catching signs of the scurrying nightlife
They know killing time is really a sin,
Though they can be absolved by watching Ellen and her wife
Where you can rediscover the inner you
She’s got one so you’ll want one too
Can’t call that greed it’s already yours
And coming up after this break.....it’s the daily chores
Stacy cowers beneath the roar of her make up
Had her eyes opened now she just prays she would wake up
Every nerve exposed to the daytime jury
An army in skirts, ‘hell hath no fury’
While next to her sits the great unwashed
He took all her dreams and had them squashed
So she’ll take the tea and sympathy
She just don’t like her slice......Of Modern life
Meanwhile a demi god is sulking in rehab
His powers gone his plumage so drab
He ponders how his life took this nose dive
Was it that third album?
The stuff they found on his hard drive?
And now his life’s laid bare for all to see
He’s the poster boy for grim reality
But he’ll turn this round, he’ll be back you’ll see
If he can just keep down this slice….of Modern life
And there through a gap in the trees
You thought you saw Albion
Endless rolling fields
Under a golden sun
There through a crack in the wall
You thought you saw paradise
But when you looked again
It was only
Your modern life
Modern life is stressful they say
Nothings right or wrong, everything gray
So before you start your day
Get on your knees before God and pray
And as you drive to your daily task
Keep talking to God and wisdom ask
And keep talking to Him from dawn to dusk
Tell Him everything dont be brasque
Rejoice evermore the bible says
Pray pray without ceasing always
give thanks in everything all your days
To God be glory honor and praise
Amen
It is a field composed of four times more stones than grass
with a spectacular traditional residency, making its habitat almost homogenous
is this global historic street light, shinning with well spread beams.
Through its inventions of western theories of tragedy and comedy,
major mathematical principles, histiography and western literature,
political science, the Olympics and western philosophy.
All well capped by the majestic influence from its creation of democracy.
Setting up as passengers of a flight travel to the past,
the suppressed heavily added to the density of its people.
Waving with an open hand and fingers well extended
hits the mind with similar intensity to telling an irish “smell ya ma”.
The puff of breath through pursed lips and the shade of blue
stand in mythical beliefs of protection against evil.
The unbelievable stamina of the Hoplite soldiers
all sum up the beautiful historic landmark of a nation
once defined by thousands of different quarreling colonies.
The leading producer of sea sponges
with its ships more than twice as much as its continental fleets
and a global accolade of accumulating archaeological Museums.
Despite being heavily wounded by financial meltdown;
and still drinking from the deadly taste of its black soup
its highlighted prominence in history, mathematics and philosophy
together with the cultural swag of its first world features
attract yearly interested sight-seekers much more than its inhabitants
which is an enough statement, to the testament of its global charm.
Youtube,
Instant gratification generation,
Living your life on a spiders web,
Imperiled, endangered conspiracy theories straight to your head,
Web Cam On,
Snoopers watching you like internet ****,
And you're none the wiser,
Or maybe you are?
Is that why you push yourself so far?
Fad diets,
When people abroad are hungry and starving,
You sit at home with your little shake,
Dreaming of the turkey you could be carving
Juice plus, Fruit Crush, Herbalife you're completely barking.
Facebook,
Living it large living a lie,
Larging it up for drama and likes,
Following celebrities stalking your exes,
When will it stop?
Real life,
There is a wide world outside,
Waiting for you to go out and explore,
Stories waiting just to be told,
Do it now before the moment is gone before you're to old.
Modern life style is more cruel,
It makes people to burn others to make fuel.
Too much things you have to consume,
Doesn't matter how you will suffer from that outcome.
Modern life style makes someone cries,
Selfishness could simply break our family ties.
Everyone of us are suffering from mental illness,
No one knows how they will escape from those sickness.
New brands are making us crazy,
To get those we always kept us busy.
New technologies are getting more priority,
That's why war is obligatory amongst minority and superiority,
They are forcing us to be modern slaves,
They don't care how much we have our personal savings.
We are nothing but guinea pigs,
It seems we were born for crisis.
Whatever, it's time for us,
Should try not to be ridiculous.
Look at this irony. Stroke of fate
So cruel that I can’t breathe so straight!
Curfew’s cleansed city’s air,
Pollution fairly fair,
Yet, my mask blockades both fresh-air gates!
Locked in house, halfway hung,
I can’t hail city’s lungs,
COVID’s hijacked all life, love or hate.

Poet’s note: On account of restricted movements, part curfew, curtailed traffic has improved the quality of city’s air— a blessing in disguise. Yet alas the citizens can’t enjoy this stroke of luck. What an irony!

Hate Speech
Outside I’m the same man as ever
A bit older, softer, wider for sure,
Wiser perhaps, but basically
The same cheerful, friendly, outgoing
And compliant guy I’ve always been
Inside my heart has turned to iron
A molten mass pushing outward
With my head a volcano ready to explode
From a world gone wrong, churned and turned upside down
By all the official confabulations to a nation of sheep
At every turn we are bombarded
And everywhere you turn you see the cowed
Driven down into themselves
From class and sex and race wars
To the Wuhan lab virus and January 6th show trials
Everywhere the sadists now
Hold the power smirking with twisted glee
As the Everyman withdraws a little further
From the lies without
To the truth within
Outside you’d never know
How much hatred and ill will I hold
For you sadistic f**ks who have used and abused our trust
War is coming, across the waters, to these very streets
And I just pray an asteroid comes instead
In preemptive strike
To destroy your sacred swamp and save US all
From another phony election and plandemic
Making a new ground zero burn for a new nation to rise
Indivisible with liberty and justice for all

Modern life
When goodness grows at snails pace,
When kindness in the life suffers,
And shrewdness keeps winning race,
And cheating and ditch buffers,
When best friends misunderstand,
When a dear one breaks your heart,
And foes closer to heart stand,
And tries to ignore your scar,
Joyous moments come so slow,
Be sure humans are at end,
Miseries in life fast grow,
What progress do you pretend ?

Lie down and rest my friend,
take off thy weary head, pull
on the hand brake of society,
and give the world a chance,
a glorious chance to understand you!

Everyone’s complaining
‘Bout how it’s always raining
And we’re all getting soaked to the skin
Everybody’s whining
How there’s no silver lining
Optimism’s growing kind of thin
Everyone is moaning
You hear the constant groaning
Darn it! Can’t you see how it’s unfair?
We’ve all caught the fever
Become a true believer
Then exhale it out into the air…
Got to be a better way…
Everyone is shaking
With childish bellyaching
Looking for somewhere to place the blame
Everybody’s grumbling
Fumbling and stumbling
No one knows the rules to the game
Everyone’s protesting
But no one is suggesting
Any way to fix all that is wrong
Anybody can see
Equally we’re guilty
Of going with the flow to get along…
Got to be a better way…
Sirens wail
another day in paradise

I, too, have stood—paralyzed at the helm
watching onrushing, inevitable disaster.
I too have felt sweat (or ecstatic tears) plaster
damp hair to my eyes, as a slug’s dense film
becomes mucous-insulate. Always, thereafter
living in darkness, bright things overwhelm.
