There's an obscurity on the threads of darkness
dare I peer beneath the starless shroud of midnight's veil
as I walk through the misty breath that beclouds my vision
in hopes it leads me to the temple of your soul? My dearest
my comfort is there, yet I feel a quivering in the flames
beneath these gusts that prevail through inaudible voices falling
winded in the distance where these shadows walk between us
I feel discernment in memories as these bony fingers reach out
my heart shudders beneath the orchestra of night as it beckons
a samba from the angel of death as it spans its wings before me
I shiver breathless in its cold as the flames grow dimmer
yet this time love, I fear for you as dissolution ascends above me

Muddled mind ventures through vivid vales of scepticism.
Slowly subsiding to my knees under the shadow of moonlight,
crows gathers as helpless hands clench decomposing soil.
Sapless lips gasp for oxygen, shivering in illusory mistiness.
Death's harbinger stands before me, an uninvited hooded eclipse,
holding me prisoner, strangling my soul with naked tree tendrils.
In silent steps he walks towards me, I have no will left to fight.
He has no mercy, content on me kissing the mouth of the earth.
Words hidden behind metaphors, surface upon shores of regret,
flashbacks are like daggers, reminders of unspoken, unwritten words.
My love mourn for me not, as I fall into the graveyards of poets,
in death we still connect, as my words will always live through you.

When both my feet don’t touch the ground
Lightheadedness proves overwhelming
Turbulent thoughts going while coming
They swirl about me round and round

Cloaked in black a moonless night
The howling dreadful spiteful wind prevails
Spellbound drags me over hills and vales
Like a ragdoll in the midst of a bullfight

Trails of lingering spirit ghouls
Hover over murky haze of mistiness
Harassing in dark gloomy cloudiness
Wrangling reaping mangled souls

Blurry visions twirl above
Creating mayhem in their path
Unleashing bold raging wrath
Till afar I think I see a dove

Fearing I’ll break into a coma
I force myself to get a grip
Catch my breath with every dip
Holding out for familiar terra firma

Touch So Fatal

Was your touch or was it not so fatal,
For I have often heard of endless lies.
Reverence, care, and love for my cradle
Have never lain within what I despise.
Was it in spite of my mere reluctance,
So mere was it, or definitely clear
That you imposed upon my innocence,
And expected me not to shed a tear?
I detest the mistiness of the night
You held my hand, promised a better way,
A fog that then kept blurring my sight,
Whether at night or during gleaming day.
I shortly glanced and found beauty, so *****,
That I realized beauty can ride fear.

Catching the Rain

I catch the rain, speckled-droplets of life on my skin.
The pure water that instills life in our beings, soul and kin.
I catch the rain on my face to feel the wetness
In the heat of the yellow sun---in that brightness.
I embrace the dark wet earth
As it envelops me for a moment in its warmth.

I rise with the sun; I go where the wind takes me
To far horizons of this world and others in its fury and fume.
Pondering over lush green valleys of fruit and sweetness.
Hovering with the hummingbirds
As I smell the scent of the honey-dewed mistiness.

My soul enters the deep white clouds.
I feel the fresh stream of water on my limbs.
I meditate on the moon.
As it transfixes me into their world of rapture, purity and fun.

Their world, uncorrupted by the immoral vices of men.
I drink the cup of purity in their den.
In that faraway world where our dreams begin,
And our wakefulness ends.

Dare I make an oath to God?
Dare I be one with Him, nature and the universe?
Dare I venture atop the highest mountain?
Look down at the lake of my soul and sing this verse
So I can see without my eyes.
Yet see my soul deep in that dark blue lake.

Dare I smell without my nose and feel without my skin?
Inhale the sweet scent from that lake,
Feel the cool waters of that creek,
Have a vision rich, colourful, vibrant
With hues of red, blue, green and yellow--my soul radiant.

The brightness of my union with nature and God as I swim
Diving deep into the depths of my existence without care or whim
In this time amongst the willow
As I slumber in a deep sleep on God's soft pillow.

An Irish Redemption

An Irish Redemption

Downtown lights glimmer off in the beckoning distance
I watch them twinkle a dewiness as I lie,
safe and sweet in the fresh softness of the Irish linen
Watch them lights reflect starry halos off the deep dark bay tonight.

This harbor a mirror to my soul, glittering black, like a miner’s coal...

wood carved cherry oak, plush vinyl, rain battered glass, a setting
to remember I insist;

their voices hovering, yet their songs I am forgetting…
to know I cannot resist.

The ebbing tide retreats, a salty mistiness on my skin,
I see his wings caress as they unfold. I see his prey.

A quick dive to catch, and then…
He and I fly away.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Salty mistiness enters my head.
Nostrils take in. Waves crash!

Sting rays sting! Crabs scatter!
Sandcastles, built wet on dry sand.

Walking miles on water-lapped shore.
Caesar remains, constant companion.
Then man politely asked for my hand.
Next year, for my hand in matrimony.

Ah. Salty, misty, water-waves pull.
Floating out to horizon, swim back.
Suck in the sweet, ocean air retreat.
Summertime vacations, every August.

Gray, weathered house, long ago gone.
It provided shelter, bed to lay head.
Shish kabobs! Stone crabs from fishy,
Dead heads on string. Left turn, bay.

Free Cee For a Fraction of Forever

FOR A FRACTION OF FOREVER

Do you ever feel through forever and remember me?
A vibrant me who vowed the Vienna we would visit on vacation
And share the space of one stool set aside serendipity
When your wishes would be the only legal tender
While tenderness tamed torment

Do you recall the message our souls united once sent?
Anyone who saw us knew
Anyone who saw us saw only you
For you commanded one’s stare
With golden hair woven of wonder
And eyes that call to mind a sky you soared when you were only ten
With a sun that wished you ever back to when

When fickle snowflakes flicked themselves off a forest’s foliage
And love arrived in a slay pulled by two dreams and one reality
Everything else
In actuality
Becomes a triviality
For triumph becomes trivial when it tries to outshine the aura of an angel
Be that angel you
Be that angel true
That I might flight to take with you
And make with you a home formed from the fantasy of forever
And the beating heart of a flower plucked from the prettiest part of perpetuity
And granted its grace unto you
A lady whose eyes birthed blue
And whose gaze grows by the phase of the moon
That syncopation and a sultry song might swoon
But songs fade
Music becomes mistiness
And the band bows to the bewilderment of twilight
When, as surely as night falls
A question calls
Do you ever find me in the center of forever?

Free Cee Angels In the Rain

ANGEL IN THE RAIN

Last eve heard my prayer that I would awake to a rainbow
And only the mistiness would know how it would go
Oh and I awoke to see the colors that so blessed my eyes
While at the edge of that rainbow the rarity of an angel cries

I hear her loudly weeping from far above
Bemoaning the besmirching of yesterday’s love
Perhaps rainbows only appear to soothe an angel’s heart
Until a multi-tinted pallet and the sky are made to part

There then is left but a memory born by the blue
And only a hint of what the heavens can do
Rainbows can appear and disappear at will
Yet weeps that woe filled angel still

The sky turned blue a bit later on
Once that reverent and radiant rainbow was gone
Mine is cold comfort when a coal colored sky finally clears
Until another angel dries that weeping angel’s tears

Free Cee Beauty Blossoms At a Blessings Behest

BEAUTY BLOSSOMS AT A BLESSING’S BEHEST

She was new to me on New Year’s Eve
Even when I felt my senses take their quickened and quiet leave
She had on high heeled purple patent leather shoes
And a patent pending on perfection
Until romance was reborn as rejection

Saliently I was sequestered to a semi- exclusive island
Where slaves to sensuousness succumb to seduction
With the introduction of infinitely instant infatuation for a fool
And desire that could only be quelled by the quietude that resides in her sigh
But for the lasciviousness that lay in her every lie

We begged the New Year begin with Louisiana, lakes, limericks and love
and, per chance, poetry provided by proverbial peacefulness
with cheery cherry blossoms budding beguilingly for only both of us
like the tree we sat under when wonder stole my eye
and I first heard you lie

sadly,
falsehoods failed to forecast a future of fogginess
and a mistiness that hid amid a mystery
for you were an enigma…….
a duality
with a persuasion to plurality
and conceived of by conviviality
you were a mercurial imp of imperfections personified
But what’s worse is that you so casually, callously and caustically lied

Oh yes, and the following New Year’s Eve
I heard our apple blossom tree finally died

Premium Member Corridors of the Soul

"In the misty corridors of the soul",
There are things both young and old;
Some of which are lovely and wholesome.
But some are best left unseen and lonesome.

In such compartments, they must remain.
Otherwise, they only further the pain.
Neither the person nor any stands to gain.
The issue has left a deep wound and a stain.

In the dark nights of the soul, feeling alone and cold,
The heart will ache with secrets that are never told.
Tears will slowly fall as our heads and pillows roll.
Through the mistiness, life will be written on a scroll.

It's not that no one cares, but do I even dare to share?
We are all human, and we do inhale the very same air.
Some matters we bear commonly, but others are rare.
Our lives were never given with a promise to be fair.

These stains can only be cleaned by Christ's blood.
Only God Himself can determine the greater good.
When it's all said and done, it will be understood.
Only then will the scales be balanced as they should.3

Premium Member I Stand In Prayers

I stand in prayers...

I stand in prayers.

To pay my humble respect to the Almighty

I close my eyes,

I bow my head,

To see an unseen God

May be just a spark of light.

In the darkness that surrounds me

My mind plays havoc.

Concentrate, imagine you are standing in front of the Lord, I say to myself.

But behold,

I see my mother reading the scriptures.

My wife in the kitchen

My daughter at her study desk

Oh no, this can’t be happening.

I need to concentrate and focus on the Lord.

I close my eyes.

And behold.

I hear the chirping of the birds.

The meowing of the cat

My mind soaking in the rainforest.

Running around on the beaches

Walking with the moon under the canopy of stars

No, this can’t be happening.

I need to concentrate; I need to focus.

I need to see my Lord.

I need to see Kaaba, but the images of a temple run by

I need to hear the Azan, but church bells penetrate me.

I need to pray, but the memories of my love haunt me.

Tears roll down my cheeks, for my lack of devotion.

My prayers I assume dashed on the rocky shores of religion.

I had no proof of God.

The unseen remained unseen.

But in the mistiness and fogginess of my mind

I realized.

I had seen Him in all that I loved.

He had shown me the panoramic view of all that He is.

Premium Member The Beauty of Goodbye

in bright formation
gay hued birds take capri skies
farewell to the north

pink dawn mistiness
and night nowhere to be found
so long silken dark

the storm has vanished
in its place rainbow colors
good riddance tempest

at the end of day
at last one beautiful death
hues of sweet sorrow

The dawn's morningtide lavender mistiness,
Cloaked the deep emerald fields and woods,
And mother nature wore good morning smiles,
In gay fragrant blooms, all colors and styles.
The happy moments danced daylight together,
All along the golden paved streets of time!
Noontime came sunny skies of clearest blue,
Like sapphire butterfly wings, truest true.
Afternoon left its treasured sunlit memories,
Along with the new experiences and discoveries,
And the evening twilight skies blazed beauty,
'Til the rich blackness of night fell softly!

Champagne Lady Ii

Conflicting waves ruffle the smooth blue static
hindering the ethereal progression of her path
Airiness sinks heavily to lean into leaden aqua
mistiness lingering, a foggy dolorous requiem
Practical currents, seem to have lost their step
as winds gust, only to die in competing dogma
Gone again are the gains to the losses gaining!
New rules implemented o’er the old as the sun
explicitly highlights flaws within its blared flare

Listless and restless tossing of the weary soul
aspiring to stay afloat in a much bouncier sea
Denying the salty sting, sways ‘long the bend
yielding painfully to a slower, upriver, journey
