Best Ladder Of Success Poems
Remember ! I will follow you like a shadow
Because I love you so much
I am a shadow because you don't want to see me otherwise
I am a shadow because I don't want to be separate from you
I will follow you wherever you go
I will be in heaven if you go there
I will be in hell if you are there
Better stay on earth so I can stay here too
Your happiness are mine too
Your sorrows makes me cry
I know you don't want to share your feelings to me
But I feel the same way even before you feel anything
I wish you walk on the light always
Then I can exist for ever
I don't know shadow can exist on darkness
Don't ever choose darkness just to destroy me
Whenever you looked back you saw me standing there
You turned away your face and moved away with hatred
I followed you as fast as you ran away
Still my mind was filled with pure love
When you climb the ladder of success
I will be there to congratulate you
If you ever fall and weep
You will hear my soothing voice
Why shadow has different feelings now ?
In terms of love and hatred shadow can only love
Thank God for creating shadows
If not how could've I follow you ?
My final words.....
Don't ever try to run away.....
You can't be the real you...
Without your own shadow.......

I have been reborn for my life had been
Broken , shattered, and torn.
No future could I see
Till the day you came into me.
You opened my eyes to everything around
Including the people “ I had put down”.
You opened my heart to other peoples feelings
And left my mind completely reeling.
How could I have been so cold , so ruthless
To others needs, and on their sorrows I did feed.
I thought by climbing the ladder of success
I had to put down all the rest.
Then in a dream I saw myself being lowered
Down into the ground , and not one friend
Or family member to be found.
There was not one tear shed for me
Because of the way I used to be.
I woke up in a cold sweat, my hands
were trembling ,My eyes were wet.
I had cried in that dream
For my life I had seen.
I fell to my knees and started to cry
When I felt you by my side.
I asked you : “if when I ask a question
And it was your will
If in my body I’d feel a chill.”
You gave me the answers to change my life around
And in you - a new life I had found.
Muses are seen as a source of inspiration for writers of poetry. They guide the poet and form his or her words. Often seen as mediators between the spiritual and sensual aspects of poetry.

Place me on a pedestal and take me to the stars
enrich me with linguistic words of honey sweet
Fly me to the moon on wings of butterflies
dear muse, let your pearls resound inside this golden cornet
conduct in me a symphony with all the colors of the wind
inside this poignant writer's heart, there will always be a place
for you
So let us ruminate, reflect and contemplate together,
you and I side by side
floating high above the sky.
Climb the ladder of success with me, take me to Venus
so I can dance with the sun and cha cha with the moon
fly like a water ouzel and swim like a Mermaid
you and I side by side
for all time...

We cry out for peace, equal rights, and justice.
In hopes that the leaders we chose will choose to choose us as we have chosen them.
That the ones we trust will trust that we trusted them enough to put our lives in their hands.
That they'll understand we are not the animals of the land but its people.
That we are the not the slaves tied to the chains and whip of the poverty that was used as a weapon by previous masters.
They should remember that we spoke with our votes,
that the change we wanted to see is embedded in the ones we chose with our hopes.
You should see that it was we, under the rain and the sun chanting your name.
That it was us on whose shoulders you stepped to climb the ladder of success you are today.
Believe that we loved you once and still love you today but there are issues to be discussed so let's discuss it today:
We need our roads to feed ourselves.
We need our lights to brighten our worlds,
Our education to break us from these chains that bind us,
Our security to secure and protect us.
The Power is ours by your words, ‘’Power to the People’’, which empowered our lives and we use it now.
By your words, we should not suffer but rather gain hope that we will rise,
so here we are at your door.
Pleading you do for us as we did for you not so long ago.
We have changed one leader in hopes the next would be better
’’Change for Hope’’, you told us.
‘’Change for Hope’’, we aspire to have.
Let not our hopes be in vain.
In these veins, we bleed the blood of our suffering and nationalism.
Our love for country and patriotism.
We will not result to hurt this land.
Though we are hurt,
nevermore will this land suffer at our hands.
These hands which bear the hard work of the people of this land.
These hands to which guns were given to hurt each other.
These hands in surrender we cried for the peace which is prevalent.
These hands with which to the polls we went and ballots were cast in your lead.
Let these hands not be idle.
Create for us the jobs to participate and not to spectate in our economy,
Mr. President this is our plea.
Do as you said to us you would.
With changed minds, we wait on you.
And hope our dreams of a better Liberia will come true.
‘’Change for hope’’, we have.
In hope, we the people cry.

Girls when your climbing the ladder of success, don’t let them stop you from doing your best.
Don’t believe the words I love you, when all they care to see is you not getting through.
They say you’re cute/they say you’re fine, but nine months later they say you’re not mine.
Keep your head held up high, so you won’t have to be singing a lullaby.
I was just walking around and spotted a golden ladder.
People walking past it, a swarm of people are under it
Yelling up at people, cheering loud when anyone falls down
Some fall and are slightly bruised, some aren't so lucky
Some charge right back up while others walk away sobbing.
As I walked closer, this ladder seems wider at the bottom
And narrows the higher it gets towards the top.
Using binoculars, I saw people climbing up and down it.
I even see some climbers kicking others down
As they climb and take their place like a rat race.
Racing up fast to get a bite of the cheese.
Some are taking their time, others are dashing.
The crowd underneath are cheering for those to fall
I walked closer, a few people looked scared
Desiring to be successful, but fearful to fall
So they never try, they become one with the crowd
The scornful, the haters, and the ones whom fallen.
So I touched the bar, instantly the boos began
Telling me that I am worthless, I will never succeed.
I touched the next bar, feeling hands on my feet
Feeling jealousy and envy by others under me.
I've just started this journey, I climbed higher
Trying to grab the arms of those that are falling.
The top of the ladder is so high that I can't see it
But I know that it's there, there has to be a ceiling.
And what's beyond the ceiling, who really knows?
I hear rumors of prestige, riches, luxury,
Honor, power, but is it really a myth?
As I climb, the crowd throws rocks at the climbers
Helping them to lose their grips and fall off.
The more I climb, the more callous is on my palms
My arms growing sorer, feet sweaty,
Head dizzy, fears increasing, scared to fall
Second guessing the desire to climb this ladder
But at the end, is it really worth it?
Climbing up the ladder of success.
Slowly the ladder of success one should climb if he wishes the achievement as his to claim!

I have a friend who’s been in my life, for such a very long time.
As I remember, 1980 was the year. The ladder of success, I wanted to climb.
I was almost out of college. Through the Travel Agency ads I hunted.
And then I answered the ad in the paper. It said, “Flight Dispatcher Wanted”
With sweaty palms, I drove up the coast. Was greeted by a tall and handsome
man.
Needless to say I was very nervous, until he reached out and shook my hand.
A man so full of wisdom and knowledge, to that day I had never met.
He had a deep voice that demanded attention. But to me he posed no threat.
He fed me the world of aviation, in tiny chewable bites.
Knowing it would become an addiction, he took my on my first flight.
I worked with this man for over a year, then I had to move away.
I wasn’t quite sure I’d see him again. And then came that wonderful day.
How long had it been since I’d seen him? Twelve years is what comes to mind.
I heard his voice on the radio, from the counter that I stood behind.
I watched him walk away from his jet. Coming closer each moment to me.
I could tell it was him by the way he walked. His face I couldn’t even see.
He still looked the same. Handsome as ever. In his hair was a little bit of gray.
I could see he was tired and needed some sleep, from the long flight he’s taken
that day.
There is a cliche that all pilots say, “Aviation is such a tiny world”.
And seeing him again that day, brought a smile to the face of this girl.
Since that day we’ve always stayed in touch, I know I will see him again.
Because in him I got not only a boss, but a very, very special friend.
LADDER OF SUCCESS
Free Verse
1001 steps to reach the apex
You need courage and strength
Along the way there are trials and tests
Be careful, watch every step you make.
Ask the help and guidance of God
Courage and conviction to you He'll provide
Ask Him to hold your hands so tight
Going up is not easy, slippery and too steep
From the first step there are challenges
Overcome it with hope and faith
Never lose your courage and fortitude
Aim high till you reach the pinnacle of success.
Don't rest on your laurels they say
In your journey you're almost half way
Though the road is rough and bumpy
Finish your course with intrepidity and dignity
You are young and beautiful
The future has many good things to offer
Concentrate in your studies
Finish it with flying colors.
You are the pride of your parents
The crown and glory of the church as well
A good example among the chosen
Someday, you’ll stand before men clapping their hands.

Nonsense. All of this interracial prejudice. All of the real wars of violence are in
our homes and fenced in backyards.
Nonsense. interracial madness. Hating the sight of your own kind - forgetting it
could easily be you in the unemployment line.
Nonsense. Climbing the ladder of success while losing your integrity or wealth of
heredity is a far worse crime to me.
Nonsense. Hating me not for my opinion but because of my dark skin -used to
be our plight with only white men -but now it's with our own kin.
Nonsense. Racial injustice is now our own fault and we still yet fight with unjust
cause. We pass judgement on the shape of our bodies, the style of our hair, our
clothes and , yes the shape of our nose - Ridiculous!
Nonsense. interracial politics is a failure to me. A mission of hatred, while we cry
for equality, democracy and diversity but we have no unity.
Nonsense. Interracially - I look like you and you look like me - all we have to do is
trace our beginnings of lineage and deal with the similarities or our heritage.
Nonsense. Stop treating your brother like he doesn't matter just because he's in
a lighter brown wrapper. Stop stepping past your sister because she doesn't
have a Barbie doll figure.
Nonsense. Interracial politics. If we aren't careful, we will not be just the minority
but we will soon be the next endangered species -
all but extinct.

If I am holding on to nothing it is the forecast weather of her,
If the words come out a little slower just know every word is necessary,
Yawning of thoughts it is all between me and you,
High life shoulder to cry on let it bleed for you,
If temples is to love some one else would the ladder of success be slander,
If mold and grease pill the skin like lemons to scrambler time ticks,
Hours second tone beat of a heart beat,
Yawning heart beat tear from limbs,
Guess of night appease for not a thrill,
Eyes that roll circle like diamond to cashier,
To witness it can I tell it like teller void the question,
But ideal reach out for question,
High life shoulder to cry on let it bleed for you,
Back to the temple on knees to prayer a pond,
See as a man wont a strong sophistication woman is no doubt this days,
Search of wont shower the affection kill time,
Hours second tone beat of a heart beat,
For it to bleed for you or is it a necessity of need for you,
Guessing of time guessing situation reverse sound of clause,
High life shoulder to cry on let it bleed for you,
My heart it bleed for what is it of,
Kindled Spirits,
One is alike,
Once again,
One is alike,
Sound off.
The toxic masculinity
The big gorilla, a silverback, found in the woods a tiny creature
it first had thought of killing, but in the tiny animal saw beautiful
eyes trusting him and the great ape falls in love.
People will say it is the female part of the man in action, I say no
all men are tender when given the opportunity to defend and often
risking their life for things they love.
In our time a man is supposed to climb the ladder of success so
he can buy a bigger car and house for the family, although his wife
also has a career the man is still expected to pay.
The hubby would like to have 5-6 children it is in his nature to breed,
but now that women are emancipated, big families are out
at most one or two children, preferably adopted from Africa or Asia
The wife has so many expenses staying slim and buying clothes of
the latest trend and there is the theater, the art exhibition it is vital
to be seen in the right circle.
The man gets a mistress who can provide him with sexual relief and
since his wife is not approachable his mistress listens to his woo.
The gorilla and the man are two of kind tender of heart and deeply
misunderstood
