Premium Member What I Kneel For and What I Stand For

It seems that politics today invades nearly every aspect of life,
And creates forlorn misery, pitiful stress and needless strife.
We can't enjoy sporting events 'cause its even permeated the sports domain,
All across this great nation from California to the rocky shores of Maine!
Over-paid athletes kneel when the Anthem is played, which is their right,
But doesn't this dishonor the nation whose heroes died to guarantee that right?
Seems to me folks could express their grievances with a shred of respect,
Sans demeaning the flag and leaving our cities torn asunder and wrecked!
If it were in my power I'd KNEEL at the sacred grave of each hero of this nation,
And I will KNEEL in obeisance to God Almighty in my daily supplication!
And if I had it to do over, I'd again KNEEL to ask my love to be my bride!
I'll STAND when The Pledge of Allegiance is recited with beaming pride!
I'll STAND when the National Anthem is played, heart covered with my hand!
And I'll STAND and salute Old Glory anywhere it is displayed in this land!
I was honored and privileged to serve this nation in uniform for thirty years.
As I see the scorn for civility in the country today, I'm almost brought to tears.

Premium Member Humbly Kneel On Your Floor

Dear Lord

I come knocking at your unlocked door
bend my knees, humbly kneel on your floor
mercy for time spent on earth I ask
for the sins and still unfinished task.

You have blessed me with nature's beauty,
youth, family , and blissful duty
and I wouldn't change any Your blessings
just wish I would had heed your callings.

To Kneel Or Not To Kneel

You watched it on TV
And you might have wondered why
Colin knelt on that football field
What was he attempting to try?
The narrative of his actions
Were about America's attitude
Towards Black men
How they've been lynched, harassed
And murdered again, again and again
Yes he got the attention of the world
Especially this nation
He started a dialog
Of unparalleled participation
And when the so-called powers that be
Showed their true colors
As their prejudice was aired
The movement then flourished
Took on a life of its own
And fruit it now has bared
To kneel or not to kneel
On what principles do you stand?
To kneel or not to kneel
Racism is alive and doing well in this land

As people of color we will no longer
Compartmentalize our pain
And our degradation
We now stand bold and unapologetic
In righteous indignation
We give our God the glory
Because in our hearts we truly know
That He's the Creator and the one who's
Really running this show

To kneel or to take a knee
Is not a sign of disrespect
But a gesture to show honor, esteem
And merit as one genuflects
For every knee shall bow
and every tongue shall confess
That Jesus the name above all other names
Is sovereign and blessed
And as we take a knee in the church
Or on the football field
We kneel in privilege and in protest
To let the world know how we feel

For when one is knighted
one kneels in supplication
And when a soldier has fallen
All kneel in commiseration
And when we kneel to pray
To Father God our heavenly Lord
We are showing respect and reverence
To Him in all accord
Colin didn't realize that his actions
Were pregnant with infinite possibilities
That by kneeling he opened the eyes
Of this nation and revealed its frailties

To kneel or not to kneel
Jesus Himself did kneel in fact
He took a knee for all of us
To let us know He had our backs
TO KNEEL OR NOT TO KNEEL

I Kneel In Solidarity

I kneel with all right across the globe, I kneel in solidarity

i stand with all the kneelers and I do it with some clarity

As a national flag is just coloured cloth designed to divide and rule

Indoctrination starts when you're young, vulnerable and still at school

This continues into the workplace and at sporting events too

Well I'll kneel for freedom where the flag once flew

Freedom of speech is what it's all about

So I'll stand with all the kneelers to give freedom a shout

As the colours of this flag are just a sign of imperialism

The mark of an invader, the mark of materialism

A fake patriotism that's forced upon you

Well I'll kneel for freedom where the flag once flew

To be persecuted for not standing to attention

Is for the whole world to see and is up for contention

As signs of fascism and hate are all around for us to see

So freedom of speech is what we must guarantee

Well I refuse to stand for the flag that is red white and blue

But I will kneel for freedom where the flag once flew

Kneel But Know Why

kneeling before men is discipline
before God it is piety
for oneself is self-love

Premium Member I Can'T Breathe

I can’t breathe
Cause history made it so
I was brutally deracinated from my homeland
I can’t breathe
Cause the new society I was dumped in made it so
A slave could not be greater than his master
I can’t breathe
Cause the color of my skin was perceived evil
I can’t breathe
Cause my progenitors failed to convince that the content of character is supreme
I can’t breathe
Cause you kneel on my neck perpetually
To deny me good education
To push me into the abyss of poverty
When I try to get some food
You label me a criminal
You deny me fair hearing
You try me in the street
You find me guilty in the street
You convict me in the street
And kneel on my neck so that I can’t breathe forever

Kneel To the Cross

Kneel at the cross
Eyes shaded from a tear
Sons and Daughters tossed
Lurking fear over famine
End times lost within doubted frost
Burned clovers from due time
Only select find the lost light
Un phased say all is fine
Count the clock for raptures sight
Bowing my heated head searching for an answer
All is coming from the one driven under
When the time comes, Golden roads await
While the unselected receive no pity
Anarchy reins over all city's
Black skies await on the next high
But sobering heat blocks the furnace
Scurry now, Gods wrath is never exhausted
Focus on the negative
Focus on the positive
All that's ever asked is why?
Liars and wires don't connect
There gambling, place your bet, roll the dice
Don't think twice
It all ends the same
Light or Dark
Pick.
Amen

Kneel and Pray

Follow as they crawl along
sing oh sing their sleeping song

Every night kneel and pray
Thank you God for this fine day..

Soon a child will run and jump
You kiss and cuddle each new bump

Every Night kneel and pray
Lord be with me every day..

Then as teens they drive you mad
Teens are silly.. angry.. sad

Every night kneel and pray
Lord walk with them on their way..

Each must choose the path they take
our own mistakes we each must make

Every Night kneel and pray
For God walks with you all the way!

Kneel With Fear

How can we fear what we’re meant to fear if fear has been taken from the equation
in the land of the forgotten the streets poured with fear of what was to come if they
didn’t live right if they lost their footing and fell but now there is so much chaos
what’s to fear anymore how can they fear if some of the most terrifying things are
staring back at them from their very own television sets when they walk out their
door a friend telling them of a man that was brutally murdered describing the lay out
without even a quiver everything frightening is so common now why do you think
we’ve lost sight of what to believe in why do you think in revelation it goes on to
say few will make it to heaven because most of us are too busy living in the new age an age built by the fallen ones with no boundaries no repercussions and no reason to believe that anything actually exists God will not come down here and show you his face if it was that easy why bother for us to be here in the first place question not what you need not question for all will be answered in time have you not learned patience through out this life do you always know everything right away or do you have to wait to find your way if you can answer that you should know it’s
God you should fear in the land of the forgotten and in the new age as well

Dark November (Intro For Kneel To Your Conscience Poem)

I was left unemployed and penniless
As a result of vicious rumors
Circulating about the work place
Based on mere lies over drug abuse
They claim it was attendance
I know better, so do you
Now, a once promising and bright career
Has become an unforeseen dark spiral
The obstacle has been removed
Enjoy the promotion that should
Have been mine
How can you show no remorse?

November 12,

Three years of matrimonial bliss
Suddenly came crashing down around me
When approached by an enraged spouse
Casting accusations of infidelity
Try as I will,
The name was withheld as to where this knowledge
Was acquired, but I shall always know
The originator being you
My whole world shattered
As if numerous slithers of broken glass
Came toppling down upon me

Slicing and piercing every inch of
Of my heart and soul
And with the withering of every
Blissful memory, each cloud now
Has been cloaked in a morbid shade of black,
A warm bottle of whiskey had become my confidant
And temporary solace on lonely nights
While I fantasize over exacting
Some form of retribution down upon you
Well, enjoy my ex-wife since you thirsted after her
For so long, I wonder, how someone could
Have no conscience whatsoever?

November 23,

You had to be number one
In father’s eyes at all times
So, you had to tell him that his
Oldest daughter has a girlfriend
Not that there is anything
Wrong with that, just dad’s old school ways
Why did you have to betray my trust?
Will you stop at nothing to obtain what you want?

November 27,
Three different people
Tragically wounded by someone whom
Shows no mercy, as well as no regrets, true I am not
A vindictive person at heart, but is there no penance
For this shallow unfeeling individual?

Premium Member In Penitence I Kneel

painting: The Penitent Peter by El Greco

In penitence I kneel before your throne,
head bowed with shame, heart weighed down with sin,
my sobbing whispers heard only by God
recounting the ways I, like a sheep, have gone astray.

When I keep silent, my bones waste away
but when I acknowledge my sin to you, you forgive my guilt.
  You are my hiding place,
you surround me with songs of deliverance.

Soften my heart and give me ears to hear
and eyes to see your goodness and mercy.
He who seeks the Lord will surely find -
in uncluttered silence God draws near,
the Holy Spirit brings to mind these words:

“He saved us, not because of deeds we’ve done,
in mercy we are justified by grace”
“If we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us
and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory,
surely you took our infirmities and carried our sorrows,
   by your stripes we are healed;
those who sow in tears now reap in joy!

Premium Member Imagine

Imagine if the wind didn't blow anymore
or the sun didn't disappear behind the mountains.
Imagine if the barriers didn't exist,
all free to enjoy what we have been given.

Imagine if our wings had never been cut to be flying above our beliefs.
Imagine if there were no soldiers to be sent to fight,
no men death on the fire line.

Imagine a life with all the skin
colours making a new flag
standing against the wind
for everybody to kneel down.

Imagine rivers with no blood
but water to run through,
free fish to swim in
playing games for new beginners.

Imagine if we all be embraced
taking appart our differences,
sailing on the same boat
against the cruelty of life.

Imagine to accept
the unacceptable
to join hands together
to be only ONE

Build Yourself So Strong, That Even Pain May Kneel Before You

I narrate a fable,
Went through in my life;
Had well wishers and friends,
They all had loved;
But came the bad time too,
Lost all I earned in life;
In worst time of my life,
All distanced,
None stayed my side;
Threw me from their life,
As withered rose;
Friendship deserts you,
When no inebriation they find;
I learned a lesson,
Build yourself so strong,
That even pain may
kneel before you;
friends may step up,
And follow you;

On a Day Hence

How it mocks your mind to think
a thing your faith affirms as tenet.
You tussle with the doctrinal ink:
was there an inaugural minute?

"Always existed," can that be right?
The thought swevels all your senses.
Saints with you do mull and marvel
trapped in past and present tenses.

The picture will clear on a day hence
when puzzles will be pieced complete.
They will make heaven-sent sense
as in tears we kneel at Jesus' feet.

I'd propose to you, but my knees are shot
To kneel down hurts me a lot

Anyway, what I'd rather do
is pop the question with my arms around you
