Sweet Dreams In C - Collaboration With Darren White

black and white tones
ring together echoes
over two tone photos
scrolling along

memories
colored in remembrance
happenings in sepia
when we were small

imagination animated
claude leading the way
moonlight illuminates
a kaleidescope display

moon shines its silvery
rays, soft music plays
around the room
I will sleep soon

key notes weave harmonies
whipperwill and chickadees
night's sweet lullaby song
gently sings of rest and sleep

last notes fade away
musical dreams in C
eat away sharp edges
I smile in my sleep

Premium Member A River That Dried

A long line of waters
Deep in hearts of bathers
A lifeline of growth
Weep of salvation brought forth

Waters of life over a mile
Outrunning a thousand stile
Gifts of life in piles
Surmounting torments of viles

Dreams on waters slate
Streams of sages proliferate
Sun beam of neon flickers
Teeming waters on pickers

Wishers with panoramic views
Dreamer of waters purviews
Like well-wishers throwing coins over heels
Eye-openers on picker wheels

A river full of life
A river lull of strife
Outpouring a thousand mile
Outscoring a thousand smile

On this river of hope
A bigger dream to scope
A kaleidescope of scenery
Grandeur over tapestry

One day the said river dried
No one ever wondered and belied
Gold in pieces on the ground mounted
In the hearts of gold sprouted

Euphrates...
A river

From depths of magnified sleep, we'd exchange pleasantries;

elated temples inspired love romantically;

Creating colors

no other has

experienced

instrumentally.

We cast amid

purple sea,

our feet

distant from

jealousy; Our eyes,

our lips and our hands set out chronicling this

moment as select memory.(Sigh) Delighted to awake, cradling love bout me!

Solmonte

Even now, closing my eyes
Before a small Death smiling
In tandem with Sundown,
Brings kaleidescope images of you.
And Time away cannot cancel your Being
Behind the violet darkness of closed eyes.

And I wonder how long forever is in heartbeats
Measured by the absence of love
Recalled in your brown eyes
Reflecting clearly through a clouded mirror
I have held forever.

One small woman, and a butterfly
With broken wings
Settle for recollections of free flight
And the knowlwege they both were beautiful
In the sunlight....passed beyond High Noon...
But it fades
As all memories will fade when only one remembers.

In the near Death of forgetfulness
That follows passing Time...
When only one recalls
The details of committment embraced,
There lives a quiet saddness...

Hopelessly hoping beside an open Pandora's Box
Full of air and yesterday's tears,
Is the certainty
That only the butterfly will live...
And I still cannot forget;
I still cannot let go.

But I will not settle for less than you;
And remembrance
Proves no enemy
After all.....even now,
Closing my eyes....
A small Death still smiles...

i took a walk to the edge this morning
-saw the stars leap across the sky-
spaceships in a tight formation
-silver dressing on a purple pie-

i met a witchy earth queen at a bus stop
lookin' at me with big brown eyes..
ridin' by on her blue bi-cycle
sayin' i should remove my disguise..

psychedelia-take my number
psychedelic like a black cadillac
i met a girl at an empty bus stop
..psychedelia take me back..

i used to sit at the back of the classroom
lookin' left when the say look right..
sugar sandwich and a glassful o' madness..
why is everybody so uptight?

psychedelia-what's yo' number?
23-and i'm trapped inside!
7 colours in a midnight rainbow
i'm chasin' comets to release my pride..

psychedelia-what's yo' flavor?
i'm a lion/i'm an insect-right?
got a buddha on my broken shoulder
paradise in the sky at night...

psychedelia-what u believe in?
-10 of cups/give me peace at night-
met a witchy earth queen in a manger
my God above say i'm doin' alright..

i'm a misfit/rebellious soldier
kaleidescope/prismattikkal eyes
what u lookin' at? -i thought i told ya
i'm inspired as the Black Dove flies...

psychedelical/hermetikkal misfit..
hypothetical questions ariese
when u look into ur mirror
-do u like it?
do u know if your mind is alive?

Powerful Purple

The pouring rain turned to haze, the sun rises only to set
What we imagine, chasing dragons but in reality just forget
Noble kings to worn out jeans, all the fabric we never protect
The blood within, these evil men it's the passion they collect
The butterfly bush to Alaskan cush in kaleidescope eyes
The Jokers suit and Dinosaurs too, perfect purple disguise
Grapes at noon turn to prunes then raisins thereafter
The wisdom mood to light up rooms with all the laughter
The darkest bruise changes hues only makeup covers
A color too, mixed up red and blue become eternal lovers

Melbourne

I circle inside you
Through your cold centre
Warmed by what others
Have left in you.
How conservatively wild you are.
How stark and polite.
You caress secrets so tenderly,
Saved for the seeking masses.
I watch as a kaleidescope of colours,
Dance to my feet here,
And whisper from higher spaces.
You have opened yourself to me,
And I delight in you.
Full of smells,
I do not understand.
Blinded by the art of you,
I have fallen in love,
With one of your own,
And will leave her here,
To swim in your kind depths.

I Believe In Love

Gods voice sweeps alabaster mountains
Breezes caress the rolling verdant hills
I,a traveler,a wandering gypsy child,
painting my canvas, a stream by purple orchids
Visions dance like a refreshing rain
Meadow lark,let her heart sing
Kaleidescope of color, flower to flower
Bees busy from one to next
A fresh boquet in my crystal vase
Garlands to wear in my hair
Memories and photographs
Contentment,peace like a river
Leaves in placid waters swirl;
We sit hand in hand by a statue fountain
lights in our eyes with hope, love, comfort on
a starry bright night, the mystical moon drawing us closer
Romance is found in poetry and fiction, but
I believe in Love.

Love Letter From the Soul Xix

Dreams,

There you were again
in front of me, or was it behind
pressing in, I pressing back
no drifting off this time
we were still but still not still

I stirred, you drank
we bled, then sank
me into to you
a kaleidescope of colour
caressing each tiny bit

you bit and I chewed
on ever daring thought

I pressed deeper and pursued
you whispered
I love you

there was no need to go much further
for we were here
not frightened by the bear
or by the wolf

thru the forest we disappeared
eating morels and making love

Carmina Burana At 4 Am

A kaleidescope of cacophonic carols
Attacks my cochlea
From hammer to anvil to stirrup
To the mesa we ride with timbrels and lyres.
\Gaily tripping lightly stepping
Through oceans of dandelions
Trailing the greening dew heel after heel.
The brae alive with pirouetting pansies and horns a-blare.
\Pixilation personified
The basso buffoon and bassoon collide
Would the afternoon fawn still respect the Buck-in-the-morning?

Sunset of the Day

Sunset starts with colors of vivid bright Gold
Striking up the kaleidescope of colors of the blue, red, orange as it settles
Striking up awe for all to see, the bright clear color of oranges and reds and hues of blue
The magical vibrant colors of gold, red and blue of a day almost gone by
Watch as the sun goes behind us for the day, The rainbow of colors making our day

Criminal

I witnessed a crime.
The
suspect was a
young girl

Be On The Lookout-

-She wore a rasberry beret
the sort of thing you find in a second hand store

-She was a brown eyed girl with a wiggle in her walk and a giggle in her talk

I swear to god she had kaleidescope eyes.

James Webb Telescope

Will event of creation be revealed
By the James Webb telescope
Concentrating time
Like a kaleidescope?
Galaxy after Galaxy
Slowly being revealed.
Will the moment of Creation
Always remain concealed?
Will we ever see the glory
Of the birth of timespace,
Can James Webb ever show us
Creation taking place
Or will that event remain
Tantalisingly out of sight
So no Theory of Creation
Can ever be proved right?
Is the James Webb Telescope
Just a step too far
Should we not accept
We are what we are.
Just because we can
Doesn’t alway mean we should
Maybe sometimes a mystery
Can be for the common good.
Should the thirst for knowledge
Remain achingly unsated
Do we really need to know
How such beauty was created?
Are we unique sentient beings
Set here to record and investigate
Or an accident of nature, by chance
Unable to accept our inevitable fate?
James Webb Telescope enables us
To less blindly search, to grope
Towards an understanding that may
Give our species future survival hope.

Grandma's Sparkling Stardust

Sleep won't come. They toss and turn
I run my fingers through their hair
Reaching skyward, I capture handfuls of
"Sparking Stardust", a shimmering, glittering
Kaleidescope of color. Sparkling silver
Flaming fuschia, ravishing ruby, vibrant
Violet, marvelous magenta and glittering gold.
I sprinkle handfuls over sweet, angelic faces.
With the sound of my voice I paint a picture
Of celestial beauty as eyes are getting sleepy
V-e-r-y sleepy, as Grandma's Sparkling Stardust
Does its magical work. Two six year old twin
Girls are drifting off to sleep.
WOW!! This stuff really works! The power of
Suggestion is truly amazing!! Sweet dreams.

Trap Door

You hoped there’d be another
but it’s another night alone
the empty vines of memories
is a wine you call your own

It’s the ritual in a cigarette
unshaved, unwashed
and couldn’t care less
a single seat
a solo time
the prediction of it’s ending
a kaleidescope of nothing
to keep it off your mind

With no request for it’s suddenness
the picture of a smile
those eyes
her laugh
the body which drove you wild
and in your heart
repeat resist
repeat resist
as she floats there in her phantom
with all the mist of undelivered passion
and ……………………………………….

Ignore the ghost
forget the wine
on cold lips the empty glass settles
ponder conspiracies
think of philosophies
drive the madness
and all it’s sadness
back into their blank memories
leave them there
please
to rest in the dark

You pray the magician and his trap door
find no cause to open it once more
still the wretched spring is tightening
a tweak of agony on your heart strings
no lock
no bolt
no long years eulogy
but you had hoped there really would be
