The MIGHTY AVENGERS
                               By James Edward Lee Sr.

In this so, surreal universe
Individual hero's come abust
Evil Norse God Loki
Wanting to destroy this earth
Came about a ruse a plan to also destroy
Thor: the God of thunder
So by doing this he enlisted
One of earths menaces
He created a vision of The incredible HULK
Rampaging, galloping across the city
eVEN THO there were a many of hero team available
To come and combat the danger
Those few were caught-up in their own heroic adventures
At this time in theses modern times not enough hero's to go around
The Fantastic Four were busy
The Teen Brigade took it upon themselves
To radio contact single superhero
Invincible Ironman flying to the scene
Thor God of thunder also arrives at the same time
And as the size of a fly, a ant also came Giant man and the Wasp
Now all together they combine their power and fight the real Hulk
Loki plot falls through
They, the newly gathered super hero's
Defeat the evil Norse god, Loki
They claim down the real Hulk
After winning the battle
They decided to stay together
And battle criminals, evil, and bad hero's...
As the Mighty Avengers

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE.......

There was a millionaire inventor
Who was fatally wounded in the Vietnam war
An explosion from a bomb made shrapnel
Embedded in his heart
To save his life he encased body with a iron suit
Fought off the Viet cong
Game back home as the invincible, invincible
Ironman

But alas now a hero
So many villains rose up to kill him
And one day this was finally done?
But before his mysterious disappearance and death
He found a young intern an apprentice
Her name Riri Williams
And she's a genesis
Sooner or later maybe called iron heart
A college student out of MIT
Made her own suit of iron
Now a hero, no she's a heroin
A genus African american teenager
She's the new
Ironman

All Aboard

All Aboard!
We are boarding the train of thought!
I hope you're prepared for this winding, twisting, and turning adventure
Please do not be startled by the complete transparent interior
Even though it seems like it nobody will see the real you no matter how hard they try
Let's begin!
Here we are at Happy Place, if you look to your right you can see simile sea
Off to your left you can witness metaphors meant for more than failed loved attempts
Let's move on
At this moment we are crossing over superhero bridge
If you look through the floor of our lovely T.O.T.
You can see Black Panther and Captain America fighting it out
Hulk and Thor, Superman and Batman, Spiderman and Ironman, all of these heroes having disputes
Don't think you're the only one having a hard time trying to figure out who's the hero or villian
Maybe it's just some type competition
Our Conductor himself lives competitions
Always putting odds against each other what he likes to call conflicting contradictions
Now we are entering the tunnel of dreams
Do not fret the darkness its always like that in here
Fasten your seatbelts because we all know dreams can come true
But don't forget nightmares are dreams too
Let's just rush through this like we do with any task
Who said we can't get it done right and fast
Okay, okay we made it through
Now through our final scenery before we get home
We are arriving passing through fantasy island
Best place to be
Matter of fact the facts of the matter let's just stay here and create our realities
Ice Cream camera to capture the sweetest memories
Now that's a Kodak moment
Kool Aid streams so potent that the coloring is permanent
Let's douse this whole realm in permanent and become full time residents
End the democracies, dictatorships, no more Presidents
It's evident that the evidence proves this is our world to make in any image
The best part of these fantasies
We decide when they are finished

Behind Closed Doors

Heart of Gold,
calming tides
holding on, hands intertwined.

The ironman
so bold, so brave.
An injured deer
step forth to save.

No echoing groans.
No sorrowing pleas.
Hard to see what lies beneath.

There are storms and guilt, rejection, betrayal
gnawing and snapping at his core.
But doesn't let a single salty drip ever hit the floor.

This is where he hides,
Behind Closed Doors.

Heroes and Crooks

Late night, suffering through another moody late night
the topic on my mind tonight, irrelevant but appropriate
originating in the contents of a song because of this Yellowcard
I'm feeling another sure thing falling and as those lyrics graced my ears
burying the cryptic meaning I once thought into a different perspective
Why...why...oh, why
why on these nights do I let music change, change me
turn me back to neutral, reflecting on my previous activities
reflecting about myself, the hero I've built myself up to be
Now I'm up late writing hooks
to describe all of these sorrow filled looks
I endure and take in; the ones I pin
All of these books, I've read about heroes and crooks
and to my wonderment now, I'm trying to find out how...
how...myself...am I, am I a crook
I forbid it, I deny it, I regret it if I went that route
I'm dead set on being a hero
a modern day Spiderman just without the web
a modern day Ironman just without the bionic suit
save as many people as I possibly can
whether they need a shoulder to cry on, advice for a personal problem
some entertainment, a cure for boredom, a lullaby
anything, anything they could possibly need
just try and lend a helping hand, do the best I can
free of charge, nothing in return
Please don't tell me I'm something less
please don't tell me I'm something else
Even though I feel like a cheater, crook, criminal
I still strive to be a hero: tall, golden, significant
but I'm still falling behind on the simplest tasks
it's like I'm in a steel wake behind an electric fence
My thoughts have painted that calculated portrait
A hero
I know I belong in the image, in the scenary
in the cold, calming effect of an eclipsing stone statue
in honor of me
the trophy room filled with my accomplishments
but for now, I'm satisfied with being a zero
full of anger, of love, of fight, no hate
an ambush of failure circulating my aura
Crook; I've tried not to become one
not to succumb, not to be undone
a martyr to myself
an image to excel, an image of inspiration
an obstacle to overcome
Life...life is the obstacle to overcome

The Monster Without Purpose

A mountain of grounded rock reaching to the skies
A rabbit burying into a whole
A pig building a house of straw
Why, concrete little pig, brick and sweat
A tree, untrimmed and ungainly
Buzzing insects, foaming with diseases and the chance of death
A mound of sand
A sand castle
A poor sign of engineering
Yet fit for a queen
Build straight pathways, not curving halls little ant
Your purpose is there, it s your efficiency that is in question
Take note from the concrete, the velvet and the vibrating
The ironman working the ironworks in the ironmine
Purpose, purpose, purpose
He earns her iron dollar
They raise their iron children
Time rusts their flawed iron hearts
The silver tongued king rules his copper minded people
The golden patience of time rules the silver tongued king
The velvet soft lover wrestles with the friction of passion
The ninety nine year old Nazi is killed for his crimes
The copper minded populace cheers
Some shed fake diamond tears
And we spin our web of lies
Our empire of cobwebs, time formed truths
Threatened by the subtle breeze of our patient host
True diamond patience of Earth

So the philosopher asks
Riddles with himself
Earth hast no purpose but to be
And to be without purpose is not our way
Yet we unfurl our carpet in its chambers of torrents
And build our houses of straw, and build our mountains of steel
And we expect to persevere
So this purposeless world
Moulded of chance and mutation
It sits by, without reasons to impede
It sits by, as time hammers at its walls, a purposeless measure, the ticking of a clock
The clock ticks, yet the batteries have long passed, the maker long dead
Still we build; a raging force in the calm of chaos
The solidarity of this fortress called earth, the permanence of its chaos
Is challenged by a rusty blade
The blade rises against the mountain, no eyes to see the foolishness of its act
Its precise slashes chipping away at the uneven granite

The blade chips, the dead clock ticks
The mountain sits

Jack's Ironman Contest

Not quite as thin and nimble being middle-aged,
Jack entered the Ironman contest feeling brave,
trying to jump over the candlestick,
he fell into it doing a split,
with his privates requiring a little first aid,

Then he had to jump over a paddling pool,
he gave a running start as best he could,
falling and doing a big belly flop,
the gigantic wave he caused didn't stop,
the audience all at once looking like a used wet mop,

Then came the ships tall mast,
he ran and ran and jumped as best he can,
falling and landing on the poop deck,
where he landed was appropriate,
because in his pants he had a slight "accident,"

Next thing you know
he had to jump over the planets and stars,
instead he jumped in his car and yelled out,
"Are you people crazy, what do I look like,
an astronaut or a cow!?!

Next morning at all the stores,
there was a snapshot on the nursery rhyme
rag paper of Jack and his sores,
sticking his tongue out and doing a
raspberry to the reporters,
with the caption saying "Jack too old and fat,
winner of contest is now Jack Sprat!"

Invisible

Ah to fly
Like Superman
And save the day once more
Or X-Ray rescue captives
As I laser-melt the door

Perhaps I climb
Tall towers
And swing without a care
Between the skyline scrapers
Catching villains in a snare

Or my muscles flex
In latex
City restoration is the goal;
As I zoom around in vehicles like
Some dark knight of the soul

A metal suit
Protects me
While my heart burns like the sun
With my cape-less banter shielding
Vulnerabilities, every one

The years behind have taught me..
That heroic can be small
No need to spin the planet
Or smash right through the wall

Instead, it is in wisdom;
The timeless gentle start
Of the smile that lights the shadows
On the dark side
Of a heart

No need to be invisible
Why not let your shadow fall
On the desperate, lonely stranger
We start with one
And save them all.

The Evil Called Thanos

Thanos wanted to bring
chaos to the world
He thought if he could
wipe out half of everything
it would bring balance

Thor tried to make sure
that Thanos didn’t get
the stone within the
tesseract but Loki
gave it right into his
hands and he snapped
his neck in the process

The Avengers tried every
way possible to keep
Thanos from getting the
Infinity stones

Thanos was always a step
ahead of the game
So many of the Avengers
lost to Thanos when
he snapped his fingers
with the Infinity gauntlet on

For 5 years they were
snapped out of existence
Thanos had gotten what
he wanted but was it
all it was cracked up to be

Thanos hid out on a planet
for 5 years after the snap
Eventually Thor, Ironman, Black Widow
and a few others caught up
With him

The Infinity gauntlet was permanently
fused to his hand and didn’t work
anymore. So Thor decided to cut
Thanos arm to get the gauntlet
so Tony Stark could find a way
to restore it

Then Thor beheaded Thanos.
That was not his end though.
That was not Thanos
end game yet

Set Endgame and Match

Am i on my first chance
or will i have another
too young to be old
too old to be cold
Did the evil ever finds its heart
silence terrorises
eyes that blink
just to hide
from reality
In the land of o's and z's
Carroll's Hatter brings the teas
Pan's Freeze
How do villains get a happy ending
if they never try
Heroes spoke with words
that spake thy story true
Inevitability can
but i am ironman
words that shame the angels
and find life without hope

Mikey Hall

Mikey is an Invictus man,
Gets many medals in archery,
Sporty and keen he continues,
From his previous Army career.

In the Queens Dragoons Guards,
Whilst training he got stuck, fell,
From a rope bridge: broken neck,
Spine, and paralysed from chest.

Help for Heroes helped him live,
He joined the recovery programme,
Several sports took him clean:
Cycling and Ironman triathlons.

But the moment he held a bow,
He knew that archery was his,
To reap with and to sow, build,
To elevate his wins and attempts.

And he was so good at it, supreme,
That HfH asked him to start, set up,
An archery programme for them,
At Phoenix House Recovery Centre.

He took individual bronze, Invictus,
And also team gold. In Holland,
He won a solid individual gold,
And also the team bronze, in 2015.

In Czechoslovak Mikey landed,
The team with a bronze to boast,
And is determined a medal to win,
In Rio, at the Summer Paralympics.

He was born on the 20th of July,
In the year 1975, crude rock days,
And lives in St Martins, Shropshire,
Shooting at Scorton Archery Club.

His name is Cap red white and blue
He took the Super Soldier Serum for me and you

He was four feet tall and 98 pounds
Now when he walks, heros abound

The hulk to his right and Ironman to his left
And to the center is himself with his clef

Don't mess with Captain America, the best is yet to come!

Premium Member Sardar Patel

Memoriam of the Great Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel
Who was the first Vice Prime Minister and Home Minister
United each petty kingdom and state and made them dwell
In a single unit, and thus he did administer...

Ironman, he was called, due to his determination.
Kings and kingdoms, like thatched huts of coconut leaves, he shook.
For a united nation, he had no hesitation.
For this, each and every possible means he undertook

We heard, as a barrister, when he was hearing a case
He happened to get a telegram and just kept quiet.
Death of his wife! Yet, as a man in war, he took his place.
Fraternally, he and Neheru tackled each riot.

We had such politicians those days, I'm sorry to say.
We lack such. Is this why we have to go the statue way...?
