Premium Member A Cathartic Weave of Three

listen,
the whispers
of leaves
turn colour
autumn is here.

now that you are gone
who will wake every morn
to lift the sun
unveil the sky
etch in the clouds
who will paint the rainbow?

i had a dream and in the dream i wove you a poem
i used the fiber of my character to create spools of silken thread
dipped in the juices of my passion i dyed them in the colors of my imagination
re-enforced each and every single strand with the strength of my love

touch,
the echoes
of the rain
- waters
- blossoms spring.

now that 'us' is just a word
no longer with you as one
i alone wind up metal toys
cut out paper dolls
the beach swept from under my feet
the child in me flees.

spun spools from the intricacy of my spirit
designed a pattern
to the rhythm
of the music
of my inner thoughts

enamoured in your vision
crystal beads gather on my brow
as i toil your finely bred gift
as i braid every part of me
with every memory
into every sliver of fabric

taste,
uncut
snow shapes
crisp cold
ices the wintertide.

instead now rusted
a fools gold chain of loneliness
hangs around my neck like a noose
mourns a union that once had breath
a twosome that now is dead.

see,
the sand sculptures
paint
rekindle
a childhood summer
past.

sew in the loving glow emits my flawless dreams
with my boiling blood initial my woven piece

my work at an end i awake
you lay there a wingless angel asleep
smiling as if you heard a bell ring
your boundless warmth embraces me

the moon no longer smiles
the stars no longer wink

smell,
seasonal airs
stimulates senses
memories they deliver.

without a touch
barely - i kiss you.

in this
my decade of one
hope is a wickless candle
the night just day without light

in the glee,
hopes and dreams,
in the human spirit,
lives the miracle of life.
magnificent
voices in every pitch
deep and resounding,
the melody of echoes and whispers – uncut.

Premium Member Envy

I have come here to confess my deepest shame
Your wit, I admit, I more than admire-
It wakes me, it shakes, me, sets my brain on fire
I long to claim your fame, under my name

Your indelible intricacy I yearn to master
I strive for your heights in increasing pain
But all futile, this folly of inferior gain
No matter how fast I write, you write faster

Now you skip away as I struggle for breath
My purse is empty; you haven't spent a penny
Where is the end of this contemptible envy?
When my best is bested - what is left?

mid song ~
    yet almost lost to longing
methods of the mundane
            soothe no more

distance holds my gaze
  in ways that purge time
   but not infatuation
the intricacy of binding spells compels
  steals me back
    to last gasps
                    of ecstasy

     shimmers of tears clash
with murmurs still embedded in stone
     lapping waters draw me under
until it is I that is too weak of will
        within your embrace
   I should expire
       entranced completely by desire

no lapsing thoughts
nor dread in swathes
a mystery scaled
in a myriad of ways
woken up and ushered in
retrieved from perpetuality of sin
by moving earth
and crashing wave
transfixed eternal
by all the ways you save

Of bud bossed delicate; in its aroma much will enfold!
The turbulence of youth; also the seasoned and the old.
Tetra pedes, cross pages, sober.. in black, throughout the ages
Oh! to pass to others this understanding; and in bold.

Manifold are images, ‘thrusting now fresh into flower,
To awareness, of precious cargo; as in life’s laden bower...’
Penta metron sketch outlines, though imperfectly employed;
I reach to the stars today; as yet passes my hour!...

Translucence shows within the fading of life’s colour
As this continuing expressive awaits its turn, of another!..
My thoughts fill like pages, to blossoms in bloom
A soft falling, as petals; to your earth, my sister & brother...

To re-count of life’s possibility's... in the Rubaiyat form;
Melding its grandeur; to the bland magnitude of today’s norm!
Opening in its intricacy, the doorway to ecstasy
Playing many a cadence, relayed from its echoes borne.

Ever may its blossoms & completeness be flowering,
Entwining with the lines of the sages, to forever cling!
Refreshing the heart; perhaps a world? now tired and worn.
To a climax of prosody, does this weave of true praises sing.

Premium Member Self-Veneration

Mind marooned in complexity
Intricacy singular in each living
The psyche shapes unique entity
On alien attribute it won’t cling.

In reserved recess riddles hide
Sub-conscious search can’t find
Probing plea of the world outside
Can’t contrive the closed mind.

A pining prisoner of own making
A cocoon in introvert isolation
I see all the faceless faces fading
Me wedged in web of self-adoration.

My morphed mind turns Nemesis
Makes a mirror of mirage for me
I look into it lurching to the oasis
It is only me that I always see.

In self-veneration, a false perception
I notice Narcissus in me lonely lurk
A secret switching over to obsession
Lies latent, languishing in the dark.

I had a dream.
In the dream I wove you a poem.

I used the fiber of my character
to create spools of silken thread.

Then I dyed them
in the colors of my imagination.

I reinforced
each and every single strand
with the strength of my love.

Spun the spools
from the intricacy

Enamored by your vision,
I pattern every part of me,
every memory,
into every filament of my fabric.

Finished
I initialed my woven piece.

Premium Member Silver Threads

I step outside on a mild spring day
 To bask in nature's rebirth,
Flowers in bloom sway in the wind
Colors and scents pervade my senses

A spider's web glisten in the sun
I gaze at it, mesmerized by its intricacy
 its silver threads glimmer
As it awaits its victim patiently

Life's web can get us caught in bad situations

From that web there may be no escape
Though we may struggle to be free
It may be an addiction, a bad relationship
That may devour us and leave just a shell

Yet some may get that second chance to soar to freedom

But what of those who never did
Whose souls died in the torment of their error
 Life has no guarantees
It deals us cards we can't foresee

A butterfly gets caught in the web
And it struggles to be free

Many of us are seeking freedom
 from something or someone
Even the past can imprison us

Yet sometimes out of nowhere, fortune smiles on us
That second chance for freedom comes....
I snap out of my trance as the breeze caresses my face

Just as the spider moves in the butterfly escapes
Fluttering to freedom on a mild spring day

Premium Member Who Am I To Pray To the Almighty

Who am I to pray to the Almighty
Less than a speck of dust
in the vastness of the universe
Dare I call to Him
Dare I expect Him to hear me
   ~ to respond

He sets Day and Night into motion
He watches over every star, every planet
every galaxy, the entire cosmos
and all life therein
including the trillions of human lives on our Planet
monitoring the thoughts and feelings of each
of us -- marvelous webs of intricacy, we,
hundreds of billions of neurons and nodes
per human brain -- not to mention the
remarkable inner workings of all the
other myriad living creatures on Earth

Who am I to pray to the Almighty
I am a tiny part of Him
He breathed His Life into me
   I belong to Him
   as He belongs to me

Premium Member Intricacy of Light

My inner voice calm, looks for compassion.
To give encouragement, it comes from within.
I look for honesty as my eyes turn inside-out.
Always searching to bend nettles and thorns
into a perspicacious light, intricacy of lace —
intimate in the meaning of life and love.

Gems, like an embryo, form in the dark —
eye-popping wisdom of diamonds and rubies,
sapphires and fiery opals, not endlessly hypnotic
but romantically impactful, not dubiously distracting.

My arms don’t begin at the shoulders but are in the pits
of my inner ken, an amiable passion, like a Winter’s fire
surging powerfully to my hands that draw the waters
of kisses and hugs and the mundane of cleanup
at the end of a day, restart over and over again —
deep deep breaths whisper slowly of strength and vigor,

though the knees ache, the back’s bent but the smiles spark
and the laughs light up like fuel from within. My family draws
from my spirituality, the sense that everything will be alright.

Smile of the Heart

Smile on her face makes me free
Like I can fly beyond my own destiny
Her eyes shine with surreal majesty
To essence of her soul they are the key

When her crimson lips give a kiss
My heart burns with sublime bliss
Her voice like bird song that old ballad will reminisce
The depth of her love is like an abyss

Abyss that cannot be replaced by any other word
While her eyes pierce like a sword
Her hair wave on the same wind in which eagles soared
Whispering softly as to extol her every word

Hair is color of amber or honey made by bees
Their softness and intricacy is accented by the breeze
Their beauty will make one weak in the knees
Along with a smile that is like a dawn that soul can unfreeze

Premium Member Forest Canticle

This intricacy, this forest
fanfare of green life, flower
and fungi, the creatures
that crawl its damp understory
of bush and fern, and above,
the wing born marvel
of those masters of the air -
cause the mind to pause
with wonder as when under
the high ceiling of a cathedral.

Here too is something made
to hold what seems holy,
an ideal blest by a notion
of some unspoiled thing.
And here too are hymns
composed out of an innate
desire to praise by being true,
bug, bird or towering tree
all sharing in the presence
of that unfathomable mystery.

Confession of a Dangerous Mind

I walk the path of Human Secrecy
I belong in no Shelf
I put no labels to Myself
Hopeless of Heaven
Fearless of Hell
Unraveled my mind
Evoking turmoil in my Soul
In the mystery of my own Disguise
A stranger to my own Thoughts
Cradled with a Heartless Rive
That sees no boundaries
The emancipation of my mind
Subversive at its extreme
An agile Intricacy
The darkest part of my Soul
Where despotism forbids Denunciation
I've a mind of the highest Distinction
That holds me by the hand
Silently Saying
Look, Listen and Learn
I seek to understand
Rather than be understood
When God himself is in the Rough
It's time to summon Satan's Hell..

A Doctors Ballad

I never really understood people until I took apart my old school chum Rick.
Now I know exactly what makes the human heart tick.
The intricacy of the human circuitry is Gods most artful work without uncertainty.
Like a great operatic performance accompanied by a grand orchestra, all our organs sing as one and all together.
To give such life as this in a manor of theatrical grandeur, but life comes at a cost however, this is something that we can not sever, for one soul to live it must take from another.
You see hunting a human is just like hunting any animal, you always track those that are weak and incapable.
I study those that indulge greatly in life's pleasurable sins, I always proceed to take them apart starting with their limbs.
To squander such a gift is a crime against those souls no longer living.
It is a crime that should be dealt with swiftly and unforgiving.
You may find my words harsh and cruel but punishment is dealt where punishment is due.
The scholars and gossips call me a Devil worshiper or a Satanist.
But I am an admirer of God and I dream to be like him, a great creationist.
To some I'm known as the mad doctor who haunts the river Rhine, but to my acquaintances I'm known simply as Victor Frankenstein.

Lost In His Love 'A Rap Song'

Once upon a time, I used to live,
In pain, tears and misery.
Dining and wining in sin:
Growing fatter on what kills.
I thought I was sane, like twas real,
But I was kidding: I was death's prey.
Then it came, on an innocent dawn:
Who's to come to make me his son.
Thought at first, twas a lion's den.
Then just next, he is the lion in the den.
He gave me all I could scarce think of,
Now tell me, how crazy you won't love such.

I love him from the breath of the hay:
When it heave a sigh, crafting bredth of the day.
Like the clouds and sky, in love sway,
Such that none could part their ways.
Such is my love : growing all day,
Come winter and summer, I love Jesus all the way.

Come all Who're lost in the fares of life:
Enclosed in the labyrinth of the intricacy of strife.
Jesus will not only show you the way to life,
He'll also, teach you how to survive.

I love Jesus, Love you Jesus,
Love you more than I can think of.
