Who Am I To Pray To the Almighty

Who am I to pray to the Almighty
Less than a speck of dust
in the vastness of the universe
Dare I call to Him
Dare I expect Him to hear me
   ~ to respond

He sets Day and Night into motion
He watches over every star, every planet
every galaxy, the entire cosmos
and all life therein
including the trillions of human lives on our Planet
monitoring the thoughts and feelings of each
of us -- marvelous webs of intricacy, we,
hundreds of billions of neurons and nodes
per human brain -- not to mention the
remarkable inner workings of all the
other myriad living creatures on Earth

Who am I to pray to the Almighty
I am a tiny part of Him
He breathed His Life into me
   I belong to Him
   as He belongs to me
     ~ We are One

"we are one" - this reminds me of the old song!

So insightful, Gershon! Thankfully though we are so finite, He yet hears and answers prayers for His worst sinner - me! A belated Happy Thanksgiving, sir. B ob

No, no, no! Who am I to let anyone else tear the coveted title of 'worst sinner' from my grasp?! LOL. Season's Best, Bob! Cheers, Gershon

with regards the title...why not abstractly- objectify the topic in question...such as the spelling 'almighty' : )

Gershon, I like this introspective write on this fine day. But rest assured you're not a dust speck to the universe. You would have to be a billion times greater. Something to aspire to, perhaps. Happy Thanksgiving. -Richard
