. Not long ago I had
done something wrong
committed a sin and
the pain that I felt was
as real and suffocating
as any physical pain
I’d ever felt. My shame
and my sadness were so
heavy upon me, the guilt ached in my heart. The realization then
came to me if I felt so wounded and broken and ashamed and
separated from my Father what then did it feel like to be You? I realized
the harshness of your sentence. The pain and guilt I now felt, You my
Jesus felt that multiplied by every sin I had ever committed or will ever.
Oh my God your love
Sins from the beginning
of our creation until it is
finished It’s no wonder to
me now that your heart
burst within you. To be
blameless and willingly
pay for our transgressions
To take upon yourself and
be so guilty that your Father
could not look upon You. Forgive
me my Lord for the pain I have
grieved you and for the grief I
will continue to cause. I will
never understand your love
I got a phone call the other day,
But little to my surprise,
A bill collector was calling.
And I began to realize.
“Hello, ma’am. I have a message for you.”
The bill collector did say.
“You’re late on your payment, send us this sum,
And send it to us today.”
I hung up the phone while he was still talking,
And walked away downhearted as all.
I promised myself, the next time the phone rang,
That I would not answer their call.
A few minutes later, I began to cry
Remembering all the wrong things I’ve done.
Accusing memories of sins I’d repented of
And the very things I’ve been trying to shun.
Satan was dunning me for sins in my past,
Just like the bill collectors do.
Still wanting me to pay, with guilt to spare,
When I know I’ve already prayed through.
So I started praying just once again,
Like I was beating an old dead horse.
Confessing my sins and problems to God,
And with tears, was shedding remorse.
When I was finished praying, I heard a small voice
Saying, “Condemnation can be cruel.
Don’t worry, child, your account balance is zero,
And your debt has been paid in full.”

Wild lavender flowers bloom in bunches
inside the circular garden
Surrounded by colors of emerald green
The Tiger Lilly rise above
with bright, orange curves and detailed markings
All is silent, petals are still
It is a perfect image on the hill
where the wind blew all these seeds home

Blood, sweat and tears
Through Christ Jesus, we can conquer our fears
Through His death, we can discover a new breath of life
His life was put under the knife
This was to give us new life
Paid in full
So you and I can fulfill our destiny and
Exhibit the magnificent Grace bestowed upon us
Death could not hold him
A new family was born and grows forevermore
He is the cure to our deceitful heart
He did His Part and
He will be praised Forevermore
Paid in full
So you and I can fulfill our destiny and
Exhibit the magnificent Grace bestowed upon us
Paid in fulfil to bring us back to him
twenty yards distance
oh God, the sight, scent and sound
closer now, closer
let the droning, drowsy hum
of honey bees drift softly...
Trace circles around my orchid
Massage its flower to full bloom
Spread its swollen petals
Let its aroma fill the room
Thrust your river within me
Fill me awash with your tides
Lost in its own reverie
Oceans don't subside
Plant your seeds within me
As stars number the skies
Seek my inner depths
Where passion surely lies

Hold on to the aged
Before they let us go
Like wilted flower it cannot die
Without being born into a Rose.
Awaken before the blossom
To the flower held by you.
With a touch of love and kindness
There's still a Rose in front of you.

Your Beauty, Aromatic Fragrance Of Roses In Full Bloom
Your warmth , rests in sweet tenderness covering my aching heart
your beauty, aromatic fragrance of roses in full bloom.
Our fate, love far more than gleaming stars on astrology chart
each hot night we dance in tingling rhapsody in our bedroom.
As green sprouts shooting forth in colorful life every new Spring
we bask in glowing sunspots to warm our hearts and fill our sails.
Red-lip kisses and gentle touch invigorate and bring
romance for the ages and all each sensual night that entails.
New dawn , your scent wakes me to an angel resting sweetly there
never again will my heart seek greater than what I have now.
Your angelic face and gentle heart, surely fairest of fair
I found you in my long search and won your love I know not how!
Where racing sprouts shoot forth into colorful life every Spring
your red-lip kisses and daring nighttime dancing makes me sing.

mint whiffs eucalyptus perfume
drifting on leaf’s tranquil feather
splendor of God’s pines in full bloom
greener than drapes of spring weather...
as I look back on islet bright
...my essence inhales each splendid sight!

For Brian Strand's Two to Fifteen Contest
By nette onclaud
The bucolic scene spread before her full white hair
That stupendous beauty whose silver did flair
Overlooking the planted fields, waiting for harvest
Youth, prodigious life in the past waiting to go the farthest
A self acclaimed professional with incomplete training;
following a system with part-time understanding;
feeding a beast with little knowledge of an approach tactics;
are all shelters where misunderstanding is harboured and trouble, honoured.
Foreign traditions should firstly be digested before adopted,
any culture’s morphology without the remittance of peace and respect
is either faulted with errors towards humanity
or carelessly photocopied using a bad ink.
It is okay to have an ascent
by mere keeping up with the kardashians
or beautifully repaint the glamour of societal fun
by bathing in the Jacuzzi of pop culture.
But when an entire way of life
such as faith based systems and religions
are admired and happily embraced;
such an adoption should never be done from a distance.
Despite its huge diversity, the world gets smaller everyday
due to similar interests, ideology and advancement in technology.
Even though borrowing cultures has aided this process,
it is still insignificant if humane virtues are altered.
"To best friends and brothers..."
Speed demons, derailed
Monsters of touch
More prudent, more potent, more…much
to the dismay of a boogeyman betrayed
My heart sank when I found out about you
And I even died a little more
than I usually do
You leveled the playing field
you level headed freak
When you caused me to suppress the rage
It made me die a little
I’m flattered by your insolence
You’re cowardice and weak
Each time you open your mouth to speak
You make me die a little
I trusted the lies you spat
Swallowed the venom spawned
From the fooler of fools
Oh fool hearty one, you poisoned me
And made me die a little
Crown chopper, flatten my head
I’ll help pull the trigger, leave me for dead
End this lost crusade
though it makes me cry a little
I will never be on the wrong side again
in full bloom
lilacs and honeysuckle
luring lovers
