Best Imbed Poems
Wearing clothes to bed simply makes no sense
I must float freely on my waterbed
But when I wake in the morning, I’m tense
Wrinkles from the sheets on my skin imbed
Rolling out of bed, I lower my head
All of my windows and blinds are open
Crawling, I fear neighbors might see butt skin
A snake, I slither in my birthday suit
Trying to avoid boob sighting again
And the tattoo that sits on my “patoot”
I made a mistake reaching for my robe
The rack fell down hard, landing on me
Here I lay thinking my world’s out of whack
I struggle but there’s no way to get free
My Life Alert bracelet rang out quickly
No success grabbing a sheet from the bed
The rescuers arrived in warp-speed time
To find a nude lady well past her prime
Face down, the tattoo was now in full view
Explaining what happened, I’d quite a time

Colors she wowed in autumn's praise
Where tinted leaves turn fiery red,
Where gamboge dye prairies imbed.
Meadows winsome in crimson blaze
Inspired poems of heartfelt themes
Strumming passions of season's dreams.
Vying glimpse of her moonlit gaze
Resplendent motifs whirled in dance
Pleasing poise of her gifted stance.
Lauding grandeur of gilded glaze
Lyrics she wrote in flawless rhyme,
How Connie's verses transcend time!
Swaying rhythms of beauteous days
Autumn's glory adorned her art:
Words that blossomed poetic heart.
Colors she wowed in autumn's praise~
Meadows winsome in crimson blaze,
Vying glimpse of her moonlit gaze
Lauding grandeur of gilded glaze
Swaying rhythms of beauteous days.

Eight syllables per line
Cloaked in beige, the park awaits new dusk-time
and there again owlets will start to chime,
through gentle rain, silence lays all around
while leaves russet glide unto Autumn’s ground
as maples hide their flesh in lean display
where twigs imbed the gangly stems like hay
to shred reams of petals, a torn bouquet.
Yet a wooden bench glows , scenting deep night
As love bestows an oath of fate’s delight;
in September’s innate grace, one kiss, two hops
enshrining wrapped embrace through clear dewdrops
while Fall’s bench cradles woven dreams with finesse,
a season of devotion, of stars that bless
this fond appeal to grasp eternity
into all cycle’s reels, evermore free.

A small kernel, a tiny seed,
drifts into a fertile mind,
floated by inspiring muse,
sometimes angry, sometimes kind.
In furrows richly watered
ideas imbed, softening;
anticipated, cracking shell,
swift burst at kernel's opening.
Pale greening shoots, sprouting branch,
vining leaves garner images,
sparkling similes, metaphors,
figurative language usage.
Minutes, hours, days may pass,
creative imagination increased;
the flower forms, then ripened fruit--
cycle complete, a poem released.

Trifle the thoughts living on a breeze
hearts darken twist a loving soul
eased down an anchored way
can't you feel the sway
Oh mother, hear my calls
muttered in a muted melody
Pulse, held for dear thee thou
leaving dotted lines, symbiotic
airs of allusive elegance
Imbed out an echo of relief
nether real nor silenced hope
exchanged, changed, or rearranged
resistant to extinction
slip away, go slip away
I'm in the town called Tranquility absorbing the sun
Holidaying am I amidst the valley of said sins
Such joyous commotions viewing children's fun
Seeing happiness abound in wondrous spin
But it's the nature of being here, knowing it's begun
Cotton wool clouds caught by grayed demons be
It's just a matter of moments that they engulf all we
Next morning I awaken to skies of deadened grey
In the distance funnels of evil rotate their dread
Swirling spiral vortexes never shy in their display
Their ignorance now shared delivered imbed
Such her power no prisoners she now portrays
Overturned cars, houses adrift trees now stripped
If such were to be human on a drug fueled trip
God, build me some mountains to surround this plain
Allow said sins to be attracted to forever dissipate
Never to allow grief as such, these tremendous pains
Their height being there simply closes the vortex gate
Lets learn from said angers that they never will again
I'm in the town called Tranquility absorbing the sun
Holidaying where am I, seeing parasols in lightly spun

Put forth, in some array, to just regroup
the Senior's left, advantages the soup,
that healing art, asunder, wages loop
sits idly by, while effort leads the coup!
Not merely mass destruction, pieces youth
some beauty, just assumption, wrath's uncouth
the topping of life's gumption, stilled to view
as war less, time is drifting, in a groove!
A court of trial, as often times the tread
is just a nod away, a smiled imbed
that recognition's foundling, further read
the stupor of forgetting, files with fret!
Is aging the encumbrance, or faith's dread
to see the children, numbered to exceed
and then the effort, slumbered to recede
some patronizing's drummer that repeats!
Our countryside a wonder, Spring's reprieve
as effort left to nature feels the beat
my soul's encounter jumbled by retreat
the golden years, so compromised to meet?
Would march my errors dunder to the street
in trust's consideration of my years,
the stumble, now the victor, if be sweet
the victories confirm, fear obsolete!
Ne'er ending, the encounter of entreat
what Kingly entourage, I would entail
the nourishment of fondness, so completes
my resolute encounters not assail!
O'er love, the vestige flounders with repeal
swear not the victim, scoundrel's filing scorn
to overcome the sound rolls not congeal
and liven beauties heart skoal . . . . moments stored!
I often sit and watch my wife
Make random threads take on new life
With tiny stitches placed just so
Transform cloth to a tableau
Small bags of floss sit by her side
Into single strands divide
Kaleidoscope of rainbow hues
Subtle color patterns fuse
Shades and shapes like magic form
Some colors bright while others warm
I marvel at the skill she wields
The finished product that it yields
The detail wrought into each piece
Makes my awe for her increase
That she can create and imbed
Such beauty starting with one thread
two stones, one hot, the other cold
amethyst and azure they be
the amethyst found in sunsets bold
azure as light pierces the sea
the amethyst of green, blue and red
azure, only green and blue
do we also have things which imbed
making us behave as we do
Jun 09 2011 for Rick's "stones" contest
I was picking invisible lent off my shirt
While you awkwardly shuffled your feet in the dirt
With every step we took, we distanced ourselves more
Silence played softly in the background until we finally reached your door
I much rather prefer a casual goodbye, but I know that is just not your way
Then I feel your arms squeezing me tight as you whisper in my ear and ask me to stay
I want to, but the air isn't inviting enough
And if I don't leave now, I'll miss the bus
So I take a step back and take one last good look at you
I smile and feel that old feeling again, a feeling I wish I never knew
Because if I didn't know it, I wouldn't be crying as I watch pavement pass
Every mile more down the road, was my heart slipping through an hourglass
Squeezed tight through a space so small, and worn down by time
Oh darling, how this feeling makes me wish you were never mine
So take these words and imbed them in your head
Just like those damned memories of us, I know, I'll never forget
The Word contained, inside the head
Available until we're old
Cherished within the heart as gold
Will bring us to heaven instead
Where those streets of gold are outspread
There Jesus, our Savior, Stronghold
The Word contained
With open arms, and side that bled
Draws into His embrace the soul
That holds the Word within their mould
Deep in their being, love imbed
The Word contained
New Living Bible
John 1: 1-5
1 In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a]
and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it

There is a balm in Gilead
To every hungry soul He gives His bread.
His very own elect; He decreed be overfed (Psalm 23:5)
*Ask in my name and it will given unto you*, His words said.
For our redemption; He caused His blood to be shed.
The veil separating man from the Holy of holies; His death shred.
Seeing His wounds, the doubt in Thomas fled.
Joy and hope for a better tomorrow, His death caused to be widespread.
Meekness and true love in our hearts; His death imbed.
Upon His return; a spotless church He will wed.
How then do we taste of His power?
To find His strength to empower.
To transform His blessings from a trickle to a shower.
To experience true peace every minute and every hour.
Faith like a mustard seed, He charges us to possess.
Our doubting minds; we are called to suppress.
Unyielding belief in God's power to do all things; we must profess.
Actions of faith that leave the world bewildered; we are called to express.
For against the laws of nature; the results of faith transgress.
Like Peter, we must stay focused on Christ to avoid any distress.
The treasures of heaven; faith gives the key to access.
And on the path of fulfilling life purpose; faith propels towards progress.
With these principles in application,
A constant reminder of His promises in supplication.
A strict avoidance of altercations and capitulation,
There would be an acceleration towards affirmation.
Thus ushering in a joyous celebration.
And a lifting up of our hands in adoration.

The noise in my head is not in my head,
I hate to think, for it's too hard to tell,
My universe dreams while being mislead;
Fighting the waves while these transmissions swell.
Sorting though scabs that this atmosphere sheds,
Studying maps to navigate this hell—
If only the gods were all in their heads,
When putting together my world so well.
The righteous chaos they had to imbed;
The frustrated faith they had to dispel—
Curse all the toxic terrain that I tread!
Someday I will break from this ragged shell!
For now I must slither like wretched thread,
Winding through the spades of braids laid ahead.

Camouflaging the bitter realities

Converted in a PERSPICUOUS
Manner to DISSIPATE the
Confussions that imbed in the mind
As a MALIGNANT parasit
Until the TRANSITORY state
Clears the INURBANE atmosphere
To ALIENATE the lifestyle that once
Turned in a CAPRICIOUS SCAPEGOAT
Listen you can allow hatred and anger to imbed itself into your life.
Only it will grind your heart into a chaotic sword that will rip apart.
Vengeance will eat at your soul developing torment in every way.
Eventually there will be no joy that enters or spreads from your heart.
All things that happen are usually not set out to hurt anyone at all.
No one has that much evil within them to plan for these attacks.
Doom and gloom are things we fear and they could inherit your call.
Forgetting happens with time, or at least lessons as years fade.
Our way of thinking upon each passing day brings either joy or hate.
Realizing this we can learn to forgive others misgivings made.
Greatness is not measured by relentless abhorrence forever.
Individuals make bad judgments, since before the age of times.
“Vengeance is mine said the Lord” not yours to endeavor.
Each of us now has the charge to love and not hate in crimes.
Now better than anytime before we need to learn this straight away.
Each person has the capability to choose the path they have to take.
Serving to bring happiness and love until their last and dieing day.
Securing forgiveness in our mind and heart upon each day, we wake.
