Life is a journey with a blend of rough and smooth.

Premium Member Self-Actualization

Security, self-esteem, and basic needs;
Everything on Maslow’s scale I seem to nearly have.
Life is good, but do I have it all?
Fulfillment in all things? What am I still in need of?

A final need exists which requires extra
Creativity! Often those who achieve it are seen as heroic.
Their autonomous personalities are quite distinct!
Unlike ordinary souls, they’ve attained the highest plateau.
As masters of their fate, they do not know the word inertia.
Lincoln is a prime example. How many on this earth ever had his great will?
Integrity defined him, as nearly did agapai.
Zest and gratitude for life were his, and he had no need of glitz.
Among humanity, he was like the fairest of the pearls found in the sea.
To be like him, so talented, so good, so brave, so smart
Is something that I can barely fathom. I
Only can admire and strive to be like him, my hero!
Not many in this world ever can achieve the highest plain.

Premium Member Vernal

"In those vernal seasons of the year when the air is calm and pleasant, it were an injury and sullenness against nature not to go out and see her riches, and partake in her rejoicing with heaven and earth." - John Milton

Valleys, fields, meadows and hills take on a sunny glow.
Everything is fresh, and nature’s new creatures flourish and grow.
Rains pour down; mountain streams joined to rivers flow.
Never at least till fall must I worry about streets filled with snow.
Abloom are various flowers and trees; they put on beautiful show.
Life renews and songs fill the air as spring’s birds fly to and fro.

At patients bedside tending the sick and dying
Nurses are absolutely amazing people
Giving tender care
Each and every day
Life is so so precious
Such a wonderful job they all do

Spectacular World

Spectacular World

Sunbeams sparkle dizzily dancing atop butterflies’ wings,
Provocative moon flaunts her heavenly body, whispering sweet nothings,
Enchanting creations all uniquely beautiful and beloved in God’s sight,
Colorful diversity in nature is truly a sensational delight.
Treasures at the end of rainbows – pots of green, yellow, and red so bright,
Astonishing hues of passionate purple, beguiling blue, and angelic white.
Centuries-old comets flash across rhinestone-studded, black velvet sky,
Unbounded by time and space, enjoying a celestial ride up so high.
Life-giving universe is such an amazing wonder to behold;
At its center our brilliant sun radiates fiery bronze and gold,
Revolving in panoramic glory…showcasing a spectacular world.

Walking Alone

I used to wish I made a difference in his ife,
I thought it possible, since I was labeled his wife.

But it is sad to admit that I'm just being used,
I'm constantly treated poorly and verbally abused.

I have lost the joy of waking everyday,
Now in my spare time I quietly pray.

I ask for strength to be strong and make it stop,
But when comes home from work, my heart will drop.

Nervousness and feeling constant fear is all I know,
He always hurts me emotionally, it feels like a hard blow.

At his feet I beg to have that life I deserve and need,
But he tells me I'm selfish and full of greed.

Why does he see me in such a bad light,
I began to pray that my soul is taken during the night.

But the morning comes and I deal with another day,
Of sadness and listening to the harsh words that he'll say.

I walk alone in this world of sadness and misery,
No one knows what I deal with because I'll never let them see.

Why do you try to pull the wool over my eyes?
Others can see your own hypocrisy
Often telling blatant lies
Life is for living,
You need to get a life!

Premium Member Farewell to Summer - 2024

Falling Autumn leaves brashly wave goodbye to Summer
And strew the pathways with emeralds, rubies, and gold.
Radiant beauty engages the land in mummer
Encouraging Summer to relent and let loose its hold.
Watching with glum expression and immodest dress,
Eventually losing the tug-of-war with the chill cold.
Life and death become the drum to which She will bend
Leaving the breathless Wind time to nimbly mend.

Tomorrow She moves forward
Onward from time borrowed.

Sulking away with dried diamonds
Until Autumn’s auric sky explodes
Mindfully exposing Her horizons.
Memory of Summer implodes.
Efficacious efforts of Her victory,
Reign of Autumn’s golden glory.

Premium Member Gratitude

Life doesn’t always go according to plan
I know you will always be by my side
Need you as a soup sister in my life

Let’s hope we meet for real one day
Always supporting me on and off soup
Nothing is too much trouble for you
Expert advice, I appreciate you so much

Premium Member Comes, Spring

After winter's cold drought
Before the summer's bright
Comes the weeks of waking
Diminished shades of night
Each new dew-drop sunrise
Finds lengthening, the light

Greens begin their creep
Hallowed - life's rebound
In this rouse from sleep
Jutting thru cold ground
Kissed and petal-crowned

Life finds its way
May bursts alive
Now the new day
Opens to thrive

Priceless this
Quiet change
Renewed bliss

Spring comes
Then cheers ...

Us.

Premium Member No Money Can Buy

Life is a pleasure with loyal friends
Otherwise faith in them shortly ends
Years of togetherness, trust and love
Add to the friendship and keep the vow
Lucky am I to have some friends for life
To guide and support me when in strife
Yes loyal friends can be husband and wife

Loyalty- no money can buy
It doesn't fall from the sky
It doesn't grow in open fields
Only from love loyalty yields
