Neither cowardly nor jealous, just an admirer of wonderful poetic talent. Friendship can sometimes be misconstrued or seen as shallow and trite (on PS, too). Good you and Lin have striven beyond such petty poop. I expect to see a Jan Tribute from LL soon. =;o)

Lin is and has been a tower of strength to me both on and off soup, it is down to her encouragement and Tania's limerick contests which have brought me back to writing and posting again after nearly a 9 month absence. jan xx

They won’t bring Lin down, she’s far too good a poet, only lesser and jealous poets may try, but she has nothing to fear from these anonymous cowards!

Thank you David, Lin has been a tower of strength to me both on and off soup especially last year when my life was so challenging. Sadly there are still some people posting on the site who are trying to bring her down so I hope this poem shows solidarity. hugs jan xx

Jan, my sweet island friend. We've been like sisters to each other almost from the day we met nearly 8 years ago. We've helped each other through so many family and personal trials that we're bonded together as if we are fleshly sisters. I love you for this Acrostic tribute.
