dainty daffodil
your golden trumpet fanfares
the dawning of spring
Sometimes I watch the rhythm of the stars
to foretell things not present yet to come
like weather men predict rain, sleet, or snow
the skies send futurity through my thoughts
Im just a man; no more...
yawning dreams of yesterday...
before yesterday occurred
I sleep with time that tease thoughts of tomorrow
a pinch of fate sometimes is all it takes
to witness how the world will wield and break
with humble breath my heart conforms puzzles I preach
believe or not I write to you a theme
that came to me while yawning dreams of yesterday
before yesterday occurred
ill animals plague man to man
the floors of earth will shake beds as they sleep
our moon will tell the sun to low the fire
a scorching heat upon the heads of most...
to top it off the waters will devour souls that weep
without an arc the mystery cuts like a knife
untamed and innocent life
Doth thou light speakth more?
free countries greed with war!
believe or not I write to you a theme
with ink purchased in 1896.
Inside a shallow space I said hello
to me, myself and I and loneliness
secluded see the day does not exist
without a social kiss
with isolation my shape forms a shadow
that darkness only see..
Hibernating inside walls I hide my hands
friends of none my life a shelf of books that bend
I speak again with silent echoes
inside of walls that hide my hands
my ears hear sounds of company
as even birds place feathers of concern atop my released roof
sincerely, Herald Hermit
What glows in beauty
Like this flawless nature
In the stunning 'super moon'
Indeed a relic of divinity
When it comes this close
Thrills us with its moonlight
From savanna resorts of Africa
The bears in snowy Antarctic
Over the sassy Hollywood parties
The spectacle of Arabian nights
To civilised homes in Europe
It puts millions in awe
In moonstruck seas and cities
All admire this rare gesture
The tides rise in dazzle
Sailors dock ships in wait
To see pie of marvel
In this epic showcase
Death, with bony fingers creeps,
reaching for our souls
It hides its face in shadows deep,
waiting to take hold
longing to share with us
its ebony embrace
to transform our light to
a state of darkened grace.
Like a hunter, patiently,
it lingers by and by
You’ll know it has come for you,
when you hear the Banshee’s cry
(Herald Angel)
If
I call
Him He's
Always
With Me
In Him I do have the best friend that I could ever meet.Without him I'd be lost
Jesus is his name and when I'm blue He lifts my spirit and gives me peace
With Him by my side I should no fear anything 'cause He cares for me
He's the best friend that anyone could ever have in their life
He lifts me up
He protects me
He makes me strong
When things are wrong
With Him I can
Be just myself
With Him pass test
He loves me best
With Him I want
To be each day
Because is my
Best friend for sure
I'm so happy
He's with me each
Day and all night
God's my delight!

'Herald Angel' is a poetry style created by John Henson.
Soaring high it flies
Spring is here it cries
Sound radiates the air
Bringing smiles to all
one brown bird so small
Sings hovering way up there
Way up in the clouds
Hangs in space so proud
Whilst observing way down low
A safe place to nest
Tufted grass is best
Where there are seeds, insects, now
Penned 18 July 2014
Tree by tree, O’ of this we see,
The forests disappearing,
For the greater need is but greed
And the process domineering!
Once standing tall, the forests fall,
But now the bell is ringing,
O’ hearken to the herald of today,
For a portent it is bringing!
Coming nigh, O’ the darkened sky,
But thus no one is fearing,
Yet all shall choke upon the smoke
That ominously is nearing!
Upon the infinite seas all shall breathe,
As the bell goes onward tolling,
O’ hearken to the herald of today,
For thunder now is rolling!
While you sleep the end doth creep,
This comes hauntingly assuring,
For only the very wise have realized
That tomorrow is not alluring!
The rivers flow, the wind doth blow,
But the bell is loudly ringing,
O’ hearken to the herald of today,
For a portent it is bringing.
beasts
slinking through the underegrass
crows announcing
Saying, My name is Gabriel, I stand in the presence of 'God....
Whom seekest thou, Mary ? My Lord, while tears caressed her cheeks
His Majesty is not here, but has risen: tell the others He shall go before them
Into Babylon with Our Father's mighty Angels; and tell that fox, We cast out demons ?
There's a little black spot on the sun, today; tis the same old thing as, yesteryear
I have stood here before amid their nuclear rain; with her world turning circles at his edge
Of they've gone insane ? Martin my man, we have a dream too: Ask not what your country can do
For you rather, what you can do for your world ? This candle in the wind, never knowing whom to turn unto.
Herald Hermit is a man
Who for see's the future fast
As his eyes are envelopes
Diaries of distant past
As a Hermit he is this
As a Hermit loneliness
In a dark descriptive room
Watching the decay of day
Talking to his thoughts in time
Married moon-and he the groom
As a hermit loneliness
As a Herald Hermit is
Fresh snow & evergreen trees
Silent nights & a gentle breeze
This is the herald of Christmas
Sleigh rides & silver bells
Joyful greetings & fond farewells
This is the herald of Christmas
Red & Green on everything
Yuletide & carolers sing
This is the herald of Christmas
Sledding hills & snowball fights
Busy streets & glimmering lights
This is the herald of Christmas
Stockings hung & Santa Claus
Excited children all because...
This is the herald of Christmas!
Throughout the Spring and Summer - we travel to many a fair.
We dress up in Renassiance Garb and see various sights so rare.
Vendors lined up in Merchants Row
Their crafts and wares for to show.
The mood is festive, the people are bright.
Oh, look over yonder, I see a Knight.
There's Lords and Ladys and Chivalry too,
I believe the Court Jester is eating Beef Stew.
There's Jousting and Feasting and Medieval Lore.
I can't believe there's so much to see and explore.
We travel all over for a few days of fun.
And when you thing it's over - it's only just begun.

a herald of h o p e...
Clad in black white strips,
Herald of muggy summers arrive.
With alert feathery antennae,
She begins hovering around.
I was literally dumbfound!
I mean! how dare she enter unannounced!
Even the cop needs cause and justification.
How come she has no reservations!
She just says, “Mozzie is here to stay!”
Hey! What is this way?
Without any warning she inserts her proboscis.
Doesn’t ever bother, it might make me sick.
In my breath she found her favourite CO2.
She blushed and said, “O dear, I love you!”
She gave me a deadly bite on my neck,
For my blood is now her delight.
Hell! Why I can’t smack her flight?
For She wasn’t a loyal lover,
To locate her next feast, she again began to hover!

My song at daybreak is abundant with optimism.
The dawn brings gentle melodies,
As the sun peeps over the darkened horizon,
My song embarks on a song of grace,
As the suns golden orb is appearing
And lightens the darkened sky.
It brings vibrant colour to a sleeping realm.
My song springs into full illustrious voice.
Lyrics flooding the countryside with hope for a joyful day.
Welcoming the day with words of wonder,
Its clear voice waking the birds and all that slumber.
The wafting breeze brings tuneful chords,
And the lilting song takes flight with a symphony of sound.
Percussion breaks the sweet serenade with thunderous excitement,
as the earth proclaims its power dominating the land,
with a brief thunderstorm with tumultuous baritone resonance,
As the vibrato heralds the peace resuming her sway.
The somber soulful song entered by a soprano’s lilt,
And lingers into a delightful aria pronouncing the relax of the day,
Embraced by the landscape falling into shadow,
As the sun slides lower, the tune is carried by the flute’s sweet array.
The crimson sphere sinking below the hills and the serenade fades away.
As the light is engulfed by the silence of the dark night once more.
