Best Heart Ache Poems

Eleven months I watched you slowly fade away
Not once did I hear you complain or cry, you said
Soon you would embark on the greatest adventure
Of your life, while you laid suffering in silence,
Something inside me began to slowly die, too.
I tried hard, but could not stifle the bitter tears,
The dreadful hurting each day deep in my stomach
That would not go away no matter what I tried.

Then, they told me you had slipped away in the night
You began that splendid journey you spoke about.
I did not cry because I had no crying left,
But I cannot stop the gnawing in my stomach
Which will never go away, no matter how long,
Lingering, the heart ache that will last forever.

Splitting Heart Ache

visions of you
romantic visions of just us two
can these visions be possibly true

dreams of you
wonderful dreams of just us two
are these dreams really really true

my heart is now black and blue
my heart was once for you
my heart is now broken

in two

Heart Ache

Heart ach comes daily
No words are true
What you chice to believe
Is completely up to you
Love your life
Seek for the truth
Hold on to your youth
For it is not yours
It's all a demise
Lost in the hands of others
Before our own eyes
It's time to wake up
It's time to realize
That your stilling slavery
You are locked up
Your just asleep
Running with your eyes wide shut

Tears of Heart Ache

am missing you
and still do
love you too
loseing you i have fears
that are not faked
theses or tears of

"only heartache, despair, depression to give company!" (By Poet)

a picture of loneliness struck me hard,
when I saw her sitting
on a bench at scenic seaside...
face lined with years of anxiety and toil,
vacant eyes fixed at the horizon,
where the last rays of glimmering sun
going down the lapping emerald waters
of the ocean!

You can be lonely even in a crowd!
There are so many people around her,
Do they understand how deserted she feels!
She has worked hard for family all her life,
neglected her own comfort to wipe their tears,
encouraged them to stand tall in distress,
in sickness, spent sleepless nights by their bedside,
toiled in the kitchen for countless hours
to provide healthy food,
baked cookies and cakes for celebrations,
so they enjoy the feasts!

But one day…
she finds a dejected, lonely herself!
money, gifts…nothing matters!
cars, jewellery! useless to her.
a luxurious house...feels a burden!
She wants to connect with them,
for them to feel the emptiness -
a ruptured thread - in her heart
which she suffers alone!
Nobody is at her side!
A haze blocks communication,
only heartache, despair, depression to give company!

Heart Ache

drumbeat
in my chest
swimming pressure in my head
dry sobs catch my throat
webs of sorrow
heart ache

Heart Ache

Why now the heart is sad?
When I have everything,
What is this and that now?
Whose heart is looking for.
Why now the heart is sad?

Finding whom in the heart,
Who is not with me now?
How are these thieves thirsty?
The pain in which my heart
remains blissful every moment?
What does it mean?
Let me tell you now ,
Why is it all with me?

Why now the heart is sad?
When I have everything,
What is this and that now?
Whose heart is looking for.

Premium Member It Still Hurts - Collaboration With Debjani Mitra

This poem is a TRANSLATION by PoetrySouper, DEBJANi MITRA, of my poem "Monta Hariye Gechhe" in Bengali.

I thought my heart no longer flutters
an ache in its painful landscape
once wept in teary red eyes
I wondered why it no longer flutters.

crushed in stampede of the world
perhaps in peace , crumbs of my heart
meanders in emptiness of an open window
I wondered why it no longer hurts.

And then I turn around to your thoughts...
your laughter... your voice...
in flicker of a second, in alluring meadows,
hovering around you, my heart flutters,

Oh, it was never lost, it still hurts !

A Other Heart Ache

I always seem to get my heart broke
Everytime I let someone in
I always get my heart stomped on
Like a spider under a guy shoe
I sit here wrondering what should I do
Do I give you a chance to prove to me
your not like every other man that I dated
Or do I leave
I'm not sure I can take a other heart ache
But it feels like
I'm getting ready to have a other one
I thought what we had was specail
But I guess it wasn't when it came too you
I'm sorry for trying to be with you
I'm sorry for even trying to love you.

An End to heart ache

Dear Green eye man, there is so much I could say to you. Pretty much all of them are the stuff only to be thought not said out loud. The last three years I replayed a lot of things in my head. I have owned up and accepted responsibility for my part. But I know you will never do that. I guess we know who is more of an adult between the two of us. Hint it’s not you. I rebuilt myself and made myself better than I was when we were whatever the hell we were. I do have to thank you though. I know it's odd to do that but I guess I should thank you sister too for giving me anxiety. Maybe if she didn’t do that I wouldn’t be a published writer. I’ve had to learn to rely on myself more than others when it comes to a lot of things. All those years we spent together off and on wasted cause you decided to take and take instead of being the good man you pretended to be. You can keep doing that all you want, green eye man. I’ll just keep being the better person in spite of you.
When I got published my thought was I bet you would get a kick out of it but then again you always saw me as a mark or a long con to be played. I guess I finally got that answer from the question I always asked you. You know the question I always asked you when you tried to play nice guy.
I will remember the good times like the first kiss behind the old church on Washington and Bay Street. Or how you helped me get through the passing of my oldest friend in 2016. The best memory of you is that you made me feel wanted all those years. There are also bad memories also. Like how you told everyone in your family that I was a bad person. If I was such a bad person why did you keep coming back to me? Answer me that. The memories of how you asked for my trust and love when you didn’t really give me hardley any at all, I think the bad memories over power the good ones a lot of the time. Maybe one day I will think back one day and smile at the sound of your name again but that won’t be any time soon, probably not in this life time though. Maybe with the next one you’ll be a better man but I doubt it.

By,
The better person

The Heart Is the Last To Know

He's never going to care.
It doesn't seem fair.
Love suddenly stops.
It hurts a lot.
You pray to god for a second chance.
You bury your tears in your hands.
You try everything to make him care once more but it just pushes him away more.
You then leave him alone in hopes he misses you.
He never calls or texts you.
It's over but your heart don't want to know.
It is hard to let go.
It's easy for him to let go and ignore.
He doesn't love you anymore.

Heart Ache

She looked at me
Confused and anxious
Why?..
The unmouthed question
Because i care so much..
The unspoken answer
Sometimes those who love
Hurt each other the most
And not all the time
Is it a deliberate act

Heart Ache

So much heart ache so much pain,
waiting for my lost love,
to call my name.
Sometimes I see your face,
even though I'm fast asleep,
my heart, it begins to race.
With arms outstretched, I reach for you,
but always you just drift away,
until you disappear from view.
