Sure.
Ketchup.
Pickle
Horseradish too.
Mayo
Lettuce?
That’s up to you.
Are your patties thin or thick?
Can I gobble one down right quick?
A touch of butter
A slab of bacon.
Please put them on
If mine you’re making.
Are your patties thin or thick?
Can I gobble one down right quick?
Husband and I are common food sappy
Spaghetti and meatballs make us happy
To please us, make us a hamburger dish
Don’t serve us salads or yogurt or fish
Warm potatoes and rich gravy give us a good time
Comfort foods like pie and cake make us feel sublime
Keep your diet tips, your exercises, and your juices to yourself
We like our salts, and our sugars, easy to reach, low on the shelf.
Sure we have gained a bit of weight over the years
But we’re happy and sassy and have very few tears
Hungrier than a wolf pack hunkering down the hill
A lpha teen male footballers share microwaving kill
Meat tonight they smell and enough to go around
Burgers make them happy and they munch with humming sounds
Under meat they peek to see if pickles thrill the palate
Grudgingly they toss the greens that try to pose as salad
Eating is a joy-- onion ketchup mustard gourmet mess
Running down their faces is a combination guess.
AKA: Happy meal soup
Brown hamburger meat in dutch oven
Add fresh chopped potatoes and let fry
Add seasoning to taste such as salt, pepper(achoo!), garlic, onion, etc.
Add one package frozen mixed veggies
add one can tomatoes and okra, peas, and/or corn to taste
let simmer for at least one hour the longer the better on low heat.
Add water to keep from sticking as needed.
Serve with cornbread and watch the family smile!!(happy meal)
"NO GREEN EGGS AND HAMBURGER"
it's always been rumored
that Dr. Seuss had an
illegitimate child.
to the masses, it was a
treasure hunt.
there was no
success.
it's been said that
when found, she'd continue
his work and provide the
people with the next great
American novel.
yesterday,
I went into McDonald's.
I got to the cashier and
she took my order.
after
giving me the total, she asked,
"would you like it here or there?"
America can thank me now,
I've wrapped that sucker up
and it's ready to be shipped.

I wonder what he was thinking, the man
mounted on a stool, with his elbows resting on the bar,
eating a Big Mac and sipping coffee from a McCafe coffee cup.
The outside view he was watching through the glass wall
is the flickering lights over the parking lot and
the sounds of galloping horses on the road.
As usual, among those galloping horses,
some may be carrying today, which is heavier than the day,
on his aching back, while others run with full speed
looking forward to a better tomorrow;
yet, there is a horse, like one of the remnants of a defeated army
who fought the difficult battle where there is no today, no tomorrow,
but struggle after struggle of dogfight and defeat, dragging his feet
with a heavy burden.
Since there is no color or outline of an object in the dark
you are unable to distinguish one horse from the other,
such as the high-spirited grand Shire, the tiny amiable Falabella,
the gracefully elegant Akhal-Teke, or the Mule, born to carry heavy
load till dies.
That’s why the darkness is beautiful,
it doesn’t have a color like the death; yet,
it’s not comparable to the darkness of the grave
because it’s only the flip side of the day. It will drag
you into the light, compel you to see the sun in the morning.
As coffee gets colder, the smell of coffee goes away,
and further, the taste of coffee becomes bitter with elapsing time.
Then, from the empty feeling of missing something, he bites into
the hamburger held in his hand and hears the “moo…” the last cry
of a sorrowful cow dragged into a slaughter house.
Though death is, beautiful if it’s accompanied by a dirge,
the moment of death by force is, although the soul may be
lighter than a feather, a lot heavier than the weight of the world.
Why Not to Have That Hamburger
By Elton Camp
Of course I like the taste of hamburger just fine
But in here, to explain why to avoid it, I’m tryin’
One burger can contain dioxin 300 times more
Than the “safe” level that doctors already deplore
Hamburgers are usually eaten along with other things
And from them, fries, and soft drinks, obesity springs
Beef’s high price causes the rainforests destruction
To make more room for profitable cattle production
When a rainforest is cut the soil cover disappears
It becomes worthless after grazing only two years
The constant pounding of cattle hoofs on the ground
Destroys plant roots that make the soil stay around
Because of winds and storms, the soil then won’t stay
And a desert will appear once it has been blown away
Because raising cattle uses up such vast amounts of grain
Not enough to feed millions of humans does then remain
And E. coli 0157:H7 gets into the burger from cow feces
And the deadly bug is the cause, in humans, of disease
The fast-food joint has now become a modern sweatshop
And has brought back conditions in the 20s we did stop
Advertising encourages kids to eat too much animal fat
And will bring serious health consequences due to that
About any beef product it is difficult to say much good
But especially hamburger, please avoid all who would
DNA kits
for tender tots
appetites lost

When I have a hamburger on a bun
The toppings for me are different
Forget the lettuce and tomato
That is not my choice
Instead my bun is decorated in my own way
First comes the bun, then the burger
Along with two slabs of cheddar cheese
This is my favourite way to start
It's not always number one with me
Sometimes I will have relish
Makes the burger taste great
They are a good combo together
My taste buds hve now discovered
Another topping I enjoy
It is wine sauerkraut
Second choice to the cheese
I enjoy all of these condiments
Upon my burgerit is a treat
Dressed in several different ways
Oh boy! What a delight
Hamburger Have It Your Way
Once I like hamburgers but I;
I do not like potato fries;
Cooked two quarter pounds balls of beef;
Stack processed cheese slices with lettuce leaf;
Floor was wet slip, fell spill pop on my eyes;

HAMBURGER HAPPINESS
while the potatoes watch TV
and the addicts
frequent movie houses
skulls drool and devour
hamburger happiness,
I lie on my smooth blue
silk and contemplate
the sorrows of
the ocean

I went for a walk in Hamburger Land
I saw hamburger children all hand in hand.
They swallowed the image, they did not create.
With hungry mouths, they could not relate.
Vision machine had shown them the way.
Telling them lies of what they should say.
Hamburger children just look at them play.
Eyes all aglow with what they don't need.
Tongues are on fire, with wishes of greed.
Useless desire, grows like a weed.
Plotting minds, on children do feed.
Plowing the surface and planting the seed.
Hamburger children are growing too fast.
Unknown moments are all in the past.
Wander a minute away from the tube.
Pull back a curtain and peer from your cube.
Ten stories below, you're well up above.
Safe, out of reach, from neighborly love.
These hamburger children, are not all content,
Some fear the future, they might grow to resent...
The hamburger's only a craving I had
to money I spent on flavour they add.
A bun 'top a pickle and a taste of dill,
then napkins and a tray with receipt to thrill.
From service through a window with a light grey-blue
to seating at a table meant for four will do.
A vision of a burger being chomped in air
is just another feeling that your gut won't share.
my Thanksgiving comes with a sigh
I’m a steak and hamburger guy
roasted turkey is not
the kind of meal I want
I'll chow down on the pumpkin pie!
Hail the empowered beef, the patty prince!
Adaptability, eat it from the front or back, savor the taste
Melting cheddar like two bodies melding together
Buttery on the inside, soft on the outside, I crave the hard and soft
Under the tongue, painted on gums and cheeks, encompassing my mouth
Rage and sadness cease when its in my mouth, a clarity in my mind
Guided by my hand into my body, an orgasmic feeling
Untouchable, the satisfaction lights a fire in my core
Eating you, whether now or later, leaves a brightness on my face
Salty, a little sweet, it's a life defining taste
As the world goes by, you are constant, your buns bring me from the edge.
