twenty years ago you came to Berean and as pastor took up the reins
you've led us on a spiritual journey and we've never been the same
and like the Brooklyn Bridge your foundation has stood the test of time
you preach to us the Gospel and demonstrate to us God's Kind
like the Brooklyn Bridge you stretch out your hands and bring people together
you've showed us how to be better fishers of men in any and all types of weather
it's maroon and not burgundy that is your favorite color of preference
and if any one should ever ask you why you'll give them the historical reference
you're passionate in your preaching and teaching of the word of God
and when you give the proclamation we feel it coming from your heart
twenty years ago you were the youngest man to ever take up the towel of service
it was your God-given destiny to serve Berean in this purpose
twenty years ago you and your family to Brooklyn did arrive
and blessed us with a leadership that has made Berean thrive
twenty years ago and not many would ever have perceived
that you would be the perfect pastor that Berean could ever receive
CONGRATULATIONS on achieving this milestone
and may you have another 20 years and more
WE LOVE YOU, WE SALUTE YOU, PASTOR GRIFFIN IT'S YOU WE ADORE
you met each other at turning points in your lives
many would call that destiny
you'd found out you both had so much in common
you then entered into matrimony
you were both from modest means
but the most important thing
is that you both had a shared love for God
on one accord like two peas in a pod
after leaving college you both went to work
an assumed leadership in a southern baptist church
but that was not the end of the story
because for you both continued to God the glory
one day you were blessed with a cute little baby
you called her Angel for she was a perfect little lady
then the Lord told you to pick up your staff and rod
for He had a new mission for His two peas in a pod
God sent you a vision He sent you a dream
you then received a request from a church named Berean
you were compelled to venture forth
the voice of the Lord told you both to go north
and upon following God's appointing
you both received another blessed anointing
the Lord gifted you with another precious baby girl
whom you proceeded to name Ariel
and now with your family situation complete
there would be other challenges for you both to meet
and as long as you both continue to honor and love the Lord God
He will be the strongest vine for His two peas in a pod
Pastor, you're an under shepherd who has been entrusted to do God's work
you're never overbearing nor quick tempered nor do you have any quirks
you hold firmly to the trustworthy message that the Son of Man did convey
you're a spirit-filled righteous man, a disciple and teacher of God's ways
you teach and preach the sound doctrine that is the Holy Lord's
you're temperate and respectful with a Christ-like love for all in accord
you're self-assured and humble and your sermons are from the heart
you've given us insightful examples of how to live spiritually smart
you've told us it might be our attitudes and we probably need a makeover
you've been to us a living example in how to let God take over
you're an under shepherd, one of the Lord's earthly rep
you're an under shepherd, a follower in His Son's steps
you're an under shepherd, an agent of the living Christ
you're our under shepherd, Pastor Griffin
and we are blessed to have you in our lives
I am a griffin
You may touch my happiness
But you will never reach my mind
I see things as they come
Deal with them before they come
And when they come
I take them as they are.
I am a griffin
You may break my heart
But that can never change me
I will reach to make peace
Hope to bring back the loss
Restore the joy and wipe all fear.
I am a griffin
You may stop me
But I will never stop
Reaching for the top
I will always strive to be on top
Never will I allow myself to flop.
A Griffin I am
When you show me your back
I will not hit back
I will let time revenge on my behalf
I will never build on a wrong
But will still remain strong.
Call me Griffins.
We've all arrived at the point of our
homecoming and have come to realize
That life can be a stumbling block or
a stepping stone towards the heavenly prize
And our departure our homegoing
will surely come one day
Just make sure you fought the good fight
as you journeyed on your way
Yes life is a struggle, a tug of war
a push and a pull
But never forget to move forward
to progress like a tenacious bull
For power concedes nothing
we must fight for everything
There will be tears, there may be fears
Just don't stop til the final bell rings
My 1st Lady Dr. Angela Farr- Griffin
was a fighter most supreme
A progressive praying warrior
who lived out her dream
A valedictorian in high school
who earned her Masters and Ph.d
A promoter of health and wellness
a Doctor of Physical Therapy
A mother of 2, a grandmother to 2
and wedded for 40 years
She fought cancer to the bitter end
and never showed any fear
A life worth fighting for
that's how we all should live
To put on the full armor of God
and the Holy Spirit to us He did give
A soldier in the army of the Lord
she battled and fought every day
Her homegoing has come to pass
and towards Heaven she's made her way
She witnessed, worked and worshiped
to increase the kingdom of God
She always put her faith first
and from Him she would never depart
Passionate about many causes
Which led her to start many ministries
She believed if you stayed idle
you can't claim the victory
But most of all she was a worshipper
she continuously praised the Lord Christ
She danced, she sang she exalted Jesus
everyday of her life
But the devil is a liar
who only wants to destroy
But Angela was a jubilant warrior
consistently filled with joy
She fought the good fight
she had a life worth fighting for
And now she with her Savior
Our Lord Christ forevermore

In the spring of 1880 young Clifford Griffin immigrated from England to Colorado.
The death of his fiancee left him bereft and he was searchin' for his El Dorado.
He settled in Silver Plume where he and his brother bought the Seven Thirty Mine.
Clifford and his brother Heneage became very rich from ore that assayed very fine!
With all his riches, Clifford chose to live in his lonely cabin above the town.
His only companion was his treasured violin which he played with some renown!
His melancholy melodies wafted down from his mountain aerie 'most every night,
To be heard by the whiskey-guzzlin' hard-scrabble miners to their delight!
Clifford always dressed in black, enjoyed fine cigars and was quite the dashin' bloke!
He seemed content with his solitary life and in business was as solid as an oak!
Alas, death cast its gloomy pall high above Silver Plume one moonlit night.
Instead of sweet violin music, a single shot was heard that left the town affright!
Next morn his mortal remains were found in a grave he'd dug for himself alone.
His heart-broken brother found the pistol with which his brains he had blown.
A grand monument was erected atop the mountain just above Silver Plume,
At the very spot where Clifford lay midst the ponderosa and Columbine bloom!
Mysterious events now occur on that lonely mountainside accordin' to local lore!
'Tis said on moonlit nights sad violin music is heard below on the valley floor!
Folks have seen a black-clad phantom smokin' a cigar and drawin' a bow,
Playin' melancholy music and a wraith in Clifford's likeness a-swayin' to and fro!

Not a mythical creature,
or the patriarch of a lewd, cartoon family,
you are my roommate.
Well, one of them,
and you have been for two years now.
Superhero posters make your room your own.
Perhaps you’re concealing a secret identity
when you refuse to hang out with us;
on late night drives,
lunch or dinner,
all we do is make awkward small talk.
And you’re the only one
to keep his door locked.
Your girlfriend never comes around anymore,
you’re always at her place,
though, we don’t mind.
Sometimes it’s hard to tell where you are.
Perhaps you’re a murderer,
waiting for us to leave
so you can indulge in violent ceremony.
Whatever you’re into.
In the words of Jerry Garcia,
I implore you,
“Please don’t murder me.”
A sorte protege os audazes
Yes a sergeant rode in here as always with
A daring pair of rangers that made us just
Go pray it's back to Fashion Day because
Baby we won't have to pass away, oh no
To the reality of a fascist state
Although
It's hard it's envious of me to see you apart from me baby
Yeah into so many things that aren't a part of me maybe
It's the coat of arms oh stitched by those that harm
That cause alarm
Or the green card rejected by the armies of God be-
Cause they frost The Fall and that's
That's just to save us all
And the justice saves us all
And the style is designed
And with the sign of a Griffin
The symbolism of a lion of wisdom
Where the kings have wings
Oh don't you see
Yeah my envy of these things that separate you and me
So the poet in the philosopher
He said that he'd
He'd throw us the thrill of a cross but first
Put on a gauntlet, in a British accent "lad you can't let
Oh the truth bring out the worst and let it get
Yeah the best of you" so
We'll catch it without the hurt but
Still left with a loss of words 'cause
The style is designed
And with the sign of the Griffin
The symbolism of a lion of wisdom
Where the kings have wings
Oh don't you see
Yeah my envy of these things that separate you from me
My envy of things that separate you and me
In the orchard
under the stars,
I have the kind of company
I never had before.
The creature I came here with
appeared to be human,
but my hands feel a scaly back,
and stiff fur pricks my chest.
A hooked beak tears at my mouth
destroying its sweetness.
Lifeless, I am encircled by claws.
I submit
believing I am doomed.

O King of the land and King of the sky,
Magnificent beast from stories so old,
Remember the times when Griffin did fly.
Look back upon those great guardians of gold,
Hoarding their treasures since time had begun,
Magnificent beasts from stories so old.
India’s most sacred child of the Sun,
Where are you now O’ heraldic Keythong?
Hoarding their treasures since time had begun.
Let us once more listen to your sweet song,
From your great claw let us sip healing dew,
Where are you now O’ heraldic Keythong?
Lord of great strength let your power shine through,
You look down on man and so pity us,
From your great claw let us sip healing dew.
Memories fade of sweet Opinicus,
O King of the land and King of the sky,
You look down on man and so pity us,
Remember the times when Griffin did fly.
if lost magic
filled this humble earth,
would you please fly once more?
it was one score and one year ago that the Berean congregation did pray
that The Lord God would send a good undershepard their way
lo and behold their prayers were answered and a gift to them was given
an anointed man of God whose name is the Rev. Dr. Arlee Griffin
one score and one year ago he settled into his ministry
and it's been a perfect fit, a glorious matrimony
he is passionate in his praise and dynamic as a preacher
sagacious in spreading the Gospel and distinguished as a teacher
the wisdom of God is what he imparts
and it's no surprise we hold him in our hearts
one score and one year has now come to pass
and we pray that this partnership will forever last
congratulations on this anniversary Pastor it's your twenty-first one
and for you we give thanks to the Father, the Holy Spirit and the Son
Dear Griffin,
I clearly remember the first time we met. Jim had brought you at all of
four months of age to my families summer reunion. You were shy with
those striking bi-eyes and those massive white paws accentuated by
your thick brindle coating. Jim had purchased you from a local pet store,
not long after you had been flown to Maryland from a midwestern Indian
reservation where you were born. Those white paws were wobbly still as
they touched the unfamiliar grass and were overwhelmed by all the people
attention while your senses soaked in the great outdoors.
I was still in mourning for Tobin, my Australian shepherd dog but as each
day passed I grew more and more amused by your puppy antics as you
warmed your way into my life.
I also remember the day when Jim and I went to Rockville in the snow with
you to find a dog companion and were fortunate enough to find Izzie, a
ridgeback and your soul mate. From that first day, the two of you rough housed tirelessly and were inseparable for many years to come.
Griffin, I must admit that you presented a bit of a challenge to train after
Tobin who would have died in the stay command. Jim and I went to numerous trainings before you were molded into the obedient dog you became.
I was always in awe of your gentle nature and innate connection to
other wildlife. I remember the time a cow licked you thru the fence at the
Department of Agriculture and also how a deer sat down near you once in your dog paddock.
It's really hard to say good bye after fourteen years to such an integral member of our family. You have carved a special place in our hearts forever.
Until we meet again dear friend at the Rainbow bridge.
Rest in peace, Nancy
At the edge of the world shooting stars will make you feel
Completely and utterly surreal
Blissful
And hopeful
Its majesty
The fact that it can influence destiny
Is based on the fact that it can see
Numbers that are not only bigger but also don’t come back to infinity
Neural electric realigning system greatest increase it can form
Would be like a mental storm
Perhaps what we call miracles it would perform
Or see the beauty of place where divine roam
But if at base one can think about system that to none numerical value would come back
What kind of immortal realm this system could reach in its track
With its ever-growing abyss piercing ability, of power there would be no lack
But truer freeing of the soul would be nirvana where nothing one would holdback
He has wings body of a lion tail of a dragon head is like lion baboon and scorpion fish
He can grant any wish
But on top of that he can free soul to be perfectly realized without a single blemish
And all the problems and limitations in one stroke vanquish
He is dragon griffin and he is master of philosophy
And destiny
Somewhere in the out world he will be
But sometimes he is on Earth when this realm he wishes to see
He travels with the summer and autumn breeze
In a place of meeting of destinies' seas
At their omega point or highest degrees
Guiding the soul on the greatest of journeys
