A few things I resolve to do or dare
Lessen my gallons of soda intake;
The first ‘meal’ for breakfast, not the cornflakes…
Juice therapy would be New Year’s affair.

Yes, I’ll curb my late, night-owl affliction
And suppress reading books, just once a week
To calm my impulse..a healthy technique
Refraining self from this invitation.

Goody girl, that’s my 2015 name
Life is short, I’ll be a kinder person…
But rambling soda and late hours’ refrain
May not work. Loving deeper is more fun!

Premium Member Goody Kindergarten Field Trip

Mary, did you get the memo about the meeting?
What meeting?
Today’s.
When is it?
Now.

No, I didn’t get it.
Come on.
I don’t think so.
I hate meetings.

Okay. But while I am here, I have to ask.
Do you want to go on a field trip with the kindergarteners?
No.
Teacher looks surprised.
Why?
Kindergarten is hard. I’d rather jump off a cliff into a vat of wild boars
Who have not been fed in a week than go on any field trip with Kindergarteners.

Kindergarten teacher laughs,
Thinking Mary is kidding.
Mary is not.

Goody Two Shoes

we are two little goody two shoes
eating our yummy good dog chews
we sit and stand , when asked by Laura Loo
you should have a doggie to pat when your blue
to snuggle and huggle close to you, too.

Premium Member Goody Two Shoes

goody-goody
was she
must say
a bit
too much
for me

goody shoes
are two
in one
she stuffs
those don'ts
been done

the other
kept for
her dos
those rights
best left
outta sight

we all
won't see
these things
well done
saved for
foolish fun

one goes
near here
nor there
searching so
for goodys
who care

Goody-Goody

goody, goody
what's in the bag?
remains of your life i now have
goody goody
it was pointless
to offer your life to work and focus
goody goody
your skin will melt
the last number on the clock stops at twelve

my history was a part of me
they all seemed to under-think
my earliest abilities
of lethal thoughts and troubled schemes

Your breath is about to be revoked
now i've got us both alone...

the weight of the knife
against your frail throat
fulfilling it's sweet tooth
perfusing your sad wails
no one but us exists within these walls
gagging and struggling
i catch you for your last fall
my shirt isn't drenched enough
the blade isn't dull enough
out your wrists escapes all of the good stuff
desperation
mutilation
pools of crimson
who would have thought of this?
who would have gone through with it?

back on schedule
time for studies
too bad i was caught for being bloody
i wasn't in it for the money
i was thirsty for the running
of your delicious tears
your sobbing
i've succeeded
the souls disembodied
you were right
i am heavy
but now from the burden of your body...

goody goody
two shoes
belittle me and i will haunt you

goody goody
two shoes
no more running for you

i am sorry, i am sorry
i am sorry, i am sorry
i am sorry, i am sorry
i'm so sorry...

Premium Member Goody Goody Gum Drop

goody goody
gum drop
more than sweets
may mean
a lot

ate a gum drop
just popped it in
rolled around
let it spin

left and right
hugged my cheeks
swashed about
then repeats

savor the juice
sugary delight
tickles tongue
this tiny bite

stuck to teeth
once it's in
while i smiled
big green grin

might not be
a better thing
than this
except a warm
sloshy kiss

Premium Member Goody Goody Gumdrops

Goody Goody Gum drops,
It was an expression of delight
When children saw this treat
Their eyes lit up like stars at night
The inventor Murray Taylor
Concocted this ice cream treat
That was bubble gum flavoured ice cream
Filled with gum drops. What a treat.
Over the years, Goody Gumdrops lost its favour,
But the expression Goody Goody Gumdrops
It is an adage of delight for us all to still savour.

Goody Almondy

Tasting on goody almondy
escape into broody
Felt moody
I'm nobody
life a parody
cared? nobody.
laughed? everybody.
I don't want tragedy
neither comedy
no people of shady,
no clings of needy,
but a buddy
who is not noddy,
a life almost steady
 like somebody.

four years old and she was already looking for a Higher Power

her parents were bookworms and she piled one onto another

Hemingway and Nietzsche firmly stacked with Sartre and Poe

the latter she thought was misspelt because of Winnie the bear

a tower of language and words reaching to her own little heaven

she put on her boots and stood tip toed in full stretch at the altar

on which jars and packets were stacked ready for celebrations

Quality Street Cadbury marshmallows and lush candy of all sorts

paradise on the table and no one else to spoil the spiritual feast

the days were when children were still allowed chocolate cigarettes

her heart lit up and she smacked lips and taste buds in delight

in the knowledge that devout worship came in many tasty forms

worldly and openminded she felt that one God was never enough

believed firmly in gummy sharks dating toffee dolphins in church and

was especially attracted to biting off chunks of Fisherman’s friends

‘My God’she chanted and added ‘Salem Alaikum’ for her Muslim pals

there was even a fat trumpeting elephant in celebration of Ganesh

and to top it all a almond coated devil with pitchfork ready to savour

the table was high but the powers of be knew her sweet little longing

no tooth for a tooth but she was aware than not one god is the best

For those who might not know, ‘Goody Gumdrops’ is an old fashioned expression for utmost delight.

For Jade Goody

You've done all you can now Jade
Please take time to rest
Let the angels take flight

Let your weary head rest in comfort
Now everything is in place
Let the angels continue your fight

Let your weary head be in comfort
Let the pain
Begin to subside

You have left no one in doubt
As to the love of your boys
Who will always be at your side

Spend your time with them now
Take away the camera's
For too long your shadow and sometimes your fall

But above eveything else
The strength, love and spirit through this time
Has made the world love you most of all

Your spotlight will never fade
For the lives you have now
Begun to save

Our hearts are with you
For the fragility and honesty
You always gave

Bless you dear Jade
Your fight has taught us
To treasure each and every day

It made us wake up and realise
That even life in the spotlight
Doesn't stop life getting to you in some way

For every girl that ponders
Wonders why that appointment
Could be so important to do

They need look no further
Jade you have saved so many lives now
Lots of love Jade, be safe, be restful, be you...

Epitaph on Jade Goody

                           (June 5, 1981 - March 22, 2009)

Happy is your grave nobody can take.
Only few probably at home can make.

Premium Member Miss Goody Two Shoes

I once had a neighbor called miss goody two shoes,
Each time I was cornered she sang me the blues.
Because she hadn’t improved,
I just picked up and moved,
after fifteen years I thought I’d paid my dues.
