Best Go With Poems

Premium Member Go With the Flo

Go with the Flo, I've heard it said
Think I'm gonna give it a shot
What a sensual, passionate lady she is
Sure doesn't hide her plot

Always fires straight from the heart
Doesn't have ulterior motives
Whatever she's written is the way it is
No BS, no flowery emotive

Became attracted to her immediately
With her honest, up front style
Very appealing with no secret agenda
Maintaining her feminine guile

A gem to be sure here on Poetry Soup
A breath of fresh air to be sure
Just a wee poem to offer my friendship
As my silly humour she endures!

Dear sweet lover
I'm yours to the end
More than a lover
An life long friend

Morns when I wake
To your cheery hello
All's well with the world
I feel all aglow

Why am I blessed
With a love so immense
Love without boundaries
A feeling so intense

The cynics will scoff
Say I'm living a dream
It's not real life
My feelings too extreme

I say to these doubters
Trust in your heart
It's given life a meaning
Right from the start

It's really quite simple
Just trust in your soul
Let passions guide you
And go with the flow!

Premium Member Does Peace Go With You

I am going to write a poem about peace
My brother-in-law passed this week
And my mother-in-law was all frantic and in shock
I just want to tell her that all is well
And that God will be taking care of her
Are all is well
when there's so much things going on?
Are all is well when you just lost a loved one?
Are all is well when your whole world is falling apart
and the person you had been relying on is no longer there?
Are all is well when you have creditors at your door
and you don't know where your next meal is?
Yes my friend
All is well because you have the One who is in control
All is well because you have a Deliverer who will give you peace
and deliver you out of darkness
All is well because "He will never leave you or forsake you"
All is well because you have the One who knows what is to be and what is to come
All is well because He lives in you and will not give you over to the evil one
All is well because "greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world"
All is well because He knows so and said so
Isaiah 3:10 "Tell the righteous it will be well with them"
2 King 5:22 "Everything is all right"
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)
So you see, God is in control
When things fall apart around you, you will not fall apart
You will be like a new leaf taking on new oxygen
Ahh leaf does not take oxygen
I mean you
You will take new oxygen
Blowed it to you from the old man - the Master himself - God
So don't worry, okay?
Peace will go with you
Love, the Lord

Erudition May Not Go With Education

I'm sure everyone has met a few of these:

Planning on college but can't formulate a sentence
or spell shoe
Still they want a degree so they think college will do
Many leaders in the world never had a formal education
Such as Ford, Lincoln, Churchill, Truman and Edison
What they learned they acquired by their own volition
And could out shine the masses by their erudition.

Does higher education improve those who haven't
the equipment they need
Not likely because no harvest is gleaned from a field
gone to seed

Lack of learning many examples come to mind
But they're really common… not hard to find
intellectual lack includes
"Who was Plutarch? Oh it's a relative of Pluto"
"Isn't that something everyone should know ?"
"In Ancient times there was WWII"
"Not many people then only a few"
"What is Sagittarius, can't locate it"
"Something about archery…maybe Robin Hood
would fit"
"I'm surprised about Robin Hood that you know
 about him"
"Well it's an eating place where you can carry out
or eat in"
So those dim in the head don't waste your
resources
By going to school to take erudite courses
Not a thing will stick in your head from that
school
And it should be remembered not even God can
teach a fool

The last emperor, February chill,
Provokes nostalgic lust for summer heat -
My cool companion, Snowman, bittersweet -
I'll melt in hot embrace, he never will.

One vibrant life with season rapid flow,
No time for a preparatory draft,
Recapture every brush of nature's craft -
And frolic in the sun and in the snow.

Premium Member Will You Go With Me

Lord, be at my side when I knock on the door,
For I've sullied myself and I know the score.
If not for You He'd not let me in,
For I am unworthy and covered in sin.

Will You come with me when before Him I stand?
Will You speak for me, will You hold my hand;
For I am afraid Lord, and I am ashamed,
For my body and soul are ugly and stained.

I've been touched by anger and envy and lust,
By greed and vengeance and filled with mistrust;
But since You found me, I've tried hard to change.
It's been a slow process, but I've rearranged,

The way that I see things, the way that I feel.
It happened when finally, I knew You are real.
I invited You in and You changed my life.
I've slipped many times and there've been times of strife,

But You have stuck with me through thick and through thin,
And You never left me, You're my only true friend;
So, when the time comes will You come with me;
For as long as You're there the sin He won't see.

He'll listen to You if You'll speak for me.
He will forgive if You forgive me.
I'll no longer reek with the stench of my sin,
For You saved me and cleansed me and You brought me in.

Go With the Flow

So much confusion clouding my mind
Spinning so fast no peace to find
Shall I, will I, can I, should I
Doubt upon doubt,
Thoughts like a fast train
Changing at every station
What’s done can’t be changed
What’s changed is my salvation
Why dwell on answers to questions that haven’t evolved
Take your time girl said the voice of reason
Be confident, be bold
There’s no need to rush, chill and take it slow
The music is playing relax and go with the flow.

Have you peeled the flesh of day the way
it looks into your pained face? Cuddle the heart,
let it be content in going with life’s flow
allowing rafters of gratitude to claim a lilting start;
in mellow traces unbound by grief for dreams to glow.

Lift the rhapsody of fireflies greeting your skirt
with beads of smiles running with feet on a spree,
fling the moment around, taste its wine or sleep on it;
this is the day simply meant to be free
billowing on skies made of renewed hope so godly lit.

Go With Storm, You Are the Dust of the Earth

You are a tourist on this boat,
Your hand is the sail,
Your heart is the fierce storm coming.

The wind, worried that the sails will break?
Rain, worried that the boat will turn over?
The storm, will care about the traveler on boat?

Storm, where are you?
I don't want the silence encroaching my time any more,
I want the baptism of wind and rain.

Walk in the vigour of springtime,
Heart is heavy;

Linger golden autumn lakeside,
The heart is little bitter.

Over the sea rising a sail,
In the sky, flying an eagle;

In the cold winter,
a snow lotus is blooming;
In the night, a bright lamp is lit.

Go with storm,
You are the dust of the earth.

Premium Member Would You Go With Me

Tides will ebb and they will flow
But my love for you will only grow
As steady as, as steady goes
Nothing regarding you is faux

If you went away with me
I'd plan something for every day
Most other folks would think these strange
But I'm not like them anyway

Abandoned houses, bridges too
Old apple orchards long since bloomed
Stately, still with dignity
There's beauty in a tree deplumed

I don't need fancy, posh hotels
Let me sleep beneath the stars
Time with you does not compel
The nights are young, the days are ours

I love you lots my little dove
We'd fit together oh so well
Sometimes the hand, sometimes the glove
Stitched perfectly, no seam could tell

Go With No More Hello I

I saw you gradually disappear and go
Will there be a chance to say a friendly hello
Fairy tale must happen for you to back in my life
If so, please be truthful and loving with no more sweet lies
The hurt and pain perhaps might not be the same
Could you then feel how deep is my pain and why I sink?
Every time we meet, what did you see in my eyes?
I just like a poor woman and you’re the king
You might want me to call you in the middle of the night
Or you perhaps want me to hold you till the morning light
And there’s all you might want me to call
The sadness and sorrow inside my body end with terrible loss
You might be the first and last one on my mind
Still the feelings are a bit sweet and bitter that made me cry
How to stop the painful and the gather memories
How to make the love relationship grow with sweet honey
Again when you ever have an opportunity to look into my eyes
Can you tell how much I love you and hope you’ll recognize
The true love hardly can be found on this earth, and then I can only sigh

Prayers Go With You

The day I have dreaded is finally hear
I struggle to hold in that inevitable tear
Slowly deliberately sucking in air
Hoping to calm this feeling of despair
I kneel to pray that she might see
Courage and faith is deep inside me
This choice she's made in love to serve
Gives hope for freedom we all deserve
I stand in awe of her companions and friends
On those chosen to serve this country depends
Their sacrifice should be abundantly clear
Respect and love to those we hold so dear
Go with God my love you are in my every prayer
May you all be protected while you are there

Premium Member Wind, Go With Me

If I could go ...
Wind, go with me

If I could go ...
Running across the sky
And find my way
I would go tonight
Running, running

Against the wind
If I have to ...

Then leap onto it
And let it carry me
The rest of the way

It knows the way ...
It knows more
Than I ever will

Wind, go with me
Not against me

Help me to
Jump the clouds
And skip over stars
Trip over thunder
Fall with the rain
Let me slide
Down a rainbow
And land next to
Where I belong

If that is all
I needed to do
To find my way
I would go ...
Running across the sky

If I could go ...
Wind, go with me

Will You Go With Me

Will you go with me my lovely one
In the meadow where Spring has begun
To wander in the wild flowers again
Another story is about to begin

Just you and me in the warm day's sun
As I place a flower in your hair for fun
And kiss your lips as I hold you close
There no other girl for me will be my boast.

When few comments come in, I know it God's will.
He has something better for me in store to do.

I never feel alone or tearfully bereft.
Mans' moods, cannot steal my heart by theft.

    Oh, they may try alright!
But it's only His will, that carries true might.

So dance when only a few comnents show.
It's nothing wrong with your poetry, I know.

Listen to the sound of your Divine Maker.
Stop trying to be a mover and a shaker!
