Best Get Worse Poems

Premium Member Poet -This Poem Is About You

-Dear, Mr & Mrs Poet-

Do you ever question where it comes from?
This poem's about you, sit down and get a load off
Tranquilize your pen, take heed to the ecstatic applause

The things in life we take for granting, in time get worse
From WHICH' our lives transverse, ascends a deep poetic curse
You write almost everything, rehearsing every living verse
Embezzling words, like Martha Stewart, ---NOT YOURS!
Withdrawing from your substance,
--yielding it to others, who aren't devoted lovers
Spacing your lines, ready for reader's digest,
Educating the mind, like Albert Einstein

You paint a different horizon for the color blind,
Drop a note, forecasting the news, that brings, Spring to mind
Your adrenaline, leaves people with a feel good faint.
At this level, Poet you're better than high speed Internet,
Anything that makes you feel this is the real deal,
Today, you write like there's no tomorrow, borrowing yesterday's clay
Inspiring ink, left to right, feeding the need to breed a poetic degree
Your dramatic dialogue, deserve 'The Peoples Choice award."

I love the sweet audio, when you lowercase every word
It's done so well, hell, let's never capitalize another word
Reaching a point across, when capitalizing every letter,
This is your world, take it, manipulate it, with the perfect stanza
Produce it like a poetic film, imagery, action, CUT it like Jerry Bruckheimer
One day Hollywood will incite a roll, looking for the best poetry soup rhymer

Your tears and affection, you pour on partial paper,
Showing every word you want to enunciate
A SHOULDER-- gone cold, drowning, forgetting the normal way
Writing about the pure religion that meets your light,
A beautiful flower under the moonlight
Hear the bells, Poe wrote about, adding sprinkles to the twinkle in your eyes,
A redolent scent not meant to be forgotten, from Eden's garden
Taking nature, by course, granting her a crown, before slamming us down
I will call her out --The evil and the fury of a goddess, a beast
This is my feast, I welcome you to my jungle, and the outer bounds of time.

If you ever question where it comes from?
Sit down and get a load off, listen---Where's the ecstatic applause?
I'm not afraid to say, -----I'm Proud to be A Poet Without A Cause

Cleaning Solution

Sticky smears on the table top.
on the couch spilled soda pop
one chewed up shoe and one flip-flop
I’m doomed to clean this mess non-stop

Greasy dog bones gone astray
found buried in the rug today
the hamster made a getaway
where he’s gone it’s hard to say.

The shower drain is plugged, I swear
the tub has grout and needs repair
dirty laundry everywhere.
it really is a mess out there.

Under beds dust bunnies show
all closets are on overflow
the fridge is packed with things that grow
dishes clog the sink, I know.

Spaghetti sauce dumped on the floor
12 eggs broke, need I say more
fingerprints on every door
this place, a never-ending chore

Just when I think things can’t get worse
the leaking fish tank cracked and burst
40 gallons was dispersed
I think this house is cursed.

In every corner, ledge and groove
dirt and grim must be removed
there’s one solution I approve
pack your things, we’re going to move!

Ana

She writes her songs and her poems,
not one person know 'em.
She listens to the sound of her music,
she's stuck to it like a tick.

If someone took the time to listen,
her true colors would glisten.
She's put on a mask,
and hid everything when someone asked.

She was the type of girl who would always laugh,
making you wish it would last.
She was the type of girl who would smile the day away,
too bad it is no longer that way.

She is now the girl who is depressed,
I bet you're impressed.
Since no one could tell
that she was going through hell.

Everyone thought she was happy,
when really, she felt crappy.
Everyone thought she was having the time of her life,
who would have guess her best friend was a knife?

She spent her days alone,
she seemed to do everything on her own.
Never once wanted help.
Thought she could do everything herself.

Then the day came,
when she lost the game.
She fell apart,
and everyone saw her broken heart.

They saw the way she overreacted.
Oh, if only you saw the way she acted.
She bruised herself, scratched herself, and made herself bleed,
no one knew what it was that she needed.

They saw her tears,
and that was what she feared.
They found out she wasn't okay,
oh, she hated that day.

Everyone found out about her secret,
and she wish they'd just forget,
but she knew they couldn't,
and that they wouldn't.

She left that town and started over,
no one knew she went undercover.
She said she got better,
when really... something else occurred.

She secretly hurt herself,
and walked away from help.
Everyone thought she recovered,
when really, she was undercover.

She secretly wanted to get worse,
no one knew of course.
No one cared to ask,
if she was wearing her mask.

Now it's too late,
she locked the gate.
Killed herself,
everyone had forgotten she needed help.

Goodbye cold world,
this was a story of a girl
who once loved everyone
then feared who it was who won.

Don'T Even Ask: Collaboration With Daniel Turner

Have you ever had one of those days
On the wrong side of the bed, bad days
When everything right went wrong

Cause the ding had lost it's dong
Ouch, Mr. Sun came peeking in
Up from bed and banged your shin
Leaky, full toilet overflowed
Damn, you stubbed your other big toe

Times like this: don't you love those days
Hardly anything seems to go your way?
Is little Johnnie turning green
Splat! Is that doggie ice cream?

Gas oven took a dump
Everyone’s oatmeal was in clumps
The kids were late AGAIN for school

Wasn’t that traffic cop a tool?
Oh, you should've just stayed in bed!
Rolled back over and called in dead…
Shoot! An hour late for work
Emptied Starbucks on your shirt

Dare you ask how this could get worse?
Others think you're such a jerk.
Next, the boss comes barging in
Tells you,"Look for work again"

Everything was going wrong
Vacation's gonna be a little long
Even your wife’s rope is at an end
Now she says, "Let's just be friends"

An asteroid fell from the skies
Smashed the beer between the thighs
Kick yourself for getting out of bed

Lifes Meaning

Life has a meaning that nobody knows, like the past and the present everything comes and goes. your life is a mark that can't be erased your problems get worse and they need to be faced. you think things over as you lie in your bed your whole life flashes in your head. where did the madness ever start why won't the pain go away in my heart you ask and you ask when will it be gone, will the hurting inside ever pass on. no one knows the answers except one God, so just live your life to the fullest and try to have fun. because then you may find a love that eventually falls apart and again there's a aching deep in your heart. once again there's that meaning that nobody knows like the past and the present everything comes and goes.

Premium Member California's Tragedy Exposed As The Fires Burn On

They love creating chaos that's their plan.
Look at the wild fires out West, here we go again!
Devastating families with no end in sight.
Canceling their fire insurance, as their homes burn bright!
No water in the fire hydrants, can you imagine that?
The Controllers planned it that way, such an evil act!
Chaos they love and they love to destroy.
Starting off the New Year, Newsom's their boy.
This world is full of evil, and it will get worse!
If the people don't take a stand, there will be remorse!

(No syllable count)

PLEASE DONATE TO THE CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY
FUND. IT IS A RECOVERY FUND DEDICATED FOR
HELPING THE VICTIMS OF THE WILDFIRE.
Thank you and please pray for the victims of these
wildfires. God bless all that do.

It is sad to know these Hell bound
Satanist have planned the destruction
of California through their manipulation,
aiding in not implementing a plan to
have water in the hydrants with 7.5 Billions
put aside to do so, they did not implement.
Cutting the Firefighters budget by 17
million dollars. Creating the fires like in
Hawaii using lasers. They have targeted
California, Hawaii, and Canada. You know
this was planned because the fires were
started with 100 miles an hour winds in
place to fan the fires. What are the odds
of having no water in the hydrants, 100
miles an hour winds to fan the fires, and
the start of fires, all at once... Also months
before the insurance companies started
cancelling homeowners policies against
fires. Who tipped them off these fires were
coming to take such action. This tells you
it was planned and someone knew ahead of
time the fires were coming? This has to stop.
I hope there is an extensive investigation from
a private company not by their own
administration.
Davin Newsom has to be charged for this
planned destruction, loss of life, and suffering
caused by his alleged deliberat actions.

Riding the Train

RIDING THE TRAIN

Catchin' the train to the city makes an interesting day
Peak hours all the workers going to earn their pay
Many nationalities all different in their own way
And then there's the trains always a delay

I silently watch as I sit alone
Many of them busy on their phones
One calls for a ride they're nearly home
Another rejects a call number unknown

An elderly couple sit near the doors
Shopping trundle in hand, out to the stores
One another they obviously adore
Weekly shopping to them is no chore

A young man with headphones sits down below
Tapping his feet to the radio
Looks like a student with a portfolio
Maybe Art he looks like Michelangelo

A middle aged woman above takes a seat
Dressed impeccably she's extremely neat
As she sits you can see her physique
Very fit but oh so petite

A group of young students are making a noise
Some other passengers it really annoys
One of them says 'Can you be quiet please Boys'
But they just get worse and increase their voice

A mum with a pram and a child in tow
Pointing through the doors at the arched rainbow
The child sits on a seat looking out the window
Mum's in a hurry but the trains' on a go slow

The end of the day and I'm heading home
A busker at the station plays his xylophone
The station manager speaks into a speaker phone
It's amazing the walks of life a train ride has shown!

I Want To Be a Poet

I want to be a poet to write those words which rhyme
But it seems I'm having trouble with tempo, tense and time
How do the poets do it rhyme words so undisputed
They neatly find the perfect word and exactly where to put it

They make it seem so simple words flow in easy verse
While my words go from good to bad and then they just get worse
Oh to have the poets flair for grasping words from out the air
But alas I stare at paper bare and pine for words which are not there

With ease the poets do it pen words so neatly dressed
While I sit here debating and getting more depressed
To them it's not too arduous to mete out rosy prose
While in my mind bewildering a musty cobweb grows

Ornately Poets do it scribe sentiment so clear
That lifts the heart and stirs the soul like music to the ear
As I scan their lines which meld and knit I envy those who conjured it
And when I read their words united tis my id which gets excited

I twitch and get elated when I find two words of whit
But I'll be darned if I can find another two which neatly fit
I thumb through my thesaurus till the moon is fully lit
But my brain is still in neutral and not a rhymes been writ

Each pair I work to sound enhance fails to bring the bards due dance
And the prose I opt for seems to lack the poet's gift of word romance
But I'll persist and see how it goes
And perhaps one day I'll write some prose

Premium Member Caregiver Misery

Note: Sundowning – Most commonly in Alzheimer and Dementia patients, Sundowning, is changes in behavior that get worse in late afternoon, evening and can even last all night. Patients may be agitated, confused, unable to sleep; it may appear in other forms of disruptive behavior.

Eight sleepless nights, pacing non-stop;
legs, knee-bent, dragging toes are scraping carpet.
Enduring a painful back; each breath drawn
makes it throb and exhaustion’s in control.
I can’t sleep until he sleeps;
must stay awake in case he falls.
I hold my breath to stand;
it dulls the sharp stabbing pain in my back.
I swallow another migraine pill and
pray for him to fall asleep; he does not.
Respite eludes me; caregiver to a dementia-mind,
I collapse into a chair, dizzy and call myself an ambulance.
I’m drained, hungry and he’ll Sundown several nights.
I pass out and am brought around by an EMT;
my patient's oblivious to the fact that
anyone’s come into the house…
he paces…and paces…

Counting Sheep

It's one in the morning
And I can't get to sleep
So I've tried various things
Like counting some sheep,
But they just won't stay still
They keep 'milling around
Backwards and forwards
All over the ground.
To make matters worse
What on earth can I do
When this big randy ram
Keeps mounting a ewe.
There's no sense of shame
 Not a sign of shock
As they're doing all this
I'm front of the flock

Who just keep on milling
And munching the grass
And tooing and froing
In a big woolly mass.
It's being watched by the cow
With the big crumply horn
Who seems to be enjoying
This display of soft ****.
And I sigh with despair
As this ruminant steed
Keeps ravishing more ewes
And spreading his seed
It's two in the morning
And I'm still wide-awake
Counting sheep is no good
For heavens blooming sake

And to my despair
As insomnia get worse
I ve switched on an iPad to write
This bit of dodgy verse.
And while I wasn't watching
Littkrb Bo Peep and Little Boy Blue
Have crept under the haycock
And they're at it too.
If only it was possible
To just quickly reach out
To fetch that randy pair
A good solid clout
And that bloody idiot who said
It would help me to sleep
If i closed my eyes and counted
Some Imaginary sheep

Premium Member Mama Always Said Run, Joe, Run!

Run, Joe, Run! And the people represent,
mama always said you'd be President.
  Somethin' else mama said was
  stupid is as stupid does
and I think we all know what mama meant!

Run, Joe, Run! And let the people decide
but mama always knew your brain was fried.
  I think America knows
  that your Presidency blows
and there’s never been a greater divide!

Run, Joe, Run! But to us all first explain
your own family's sudden wealth and gain.
For left in a repair shop
  on your crackhead son's laptop
are shady deals with China and Ukraine!

Run, Joe, Run! You had big pockets to fill
and Hunter filled 'em for you and for Jill.
But, Joe, it's not a good look
to be a fool and a crook
gettin' caught with your hands in the till!

Run, Joe, Run! But sadly it must be said
if you were any stiffer you'd be dead.
It would be better for you
if you had any damn clue
to let someone (anyone) run instead!

Run, Joe, Run! Until that's all she wrote,
mama always said we all need to vote.
  America's Ship of State
needs a captain strong and great
but your sinkin’ ship is an old shrimp boat!

Run, Joe, Run! But Kamala is a curse
and her cacklin' word salads just get worse.
Joe fogs up in the west wing
  and she’s a you know…the thing
but she ain't ya mama and ain't ya nurse!

Run, Joe, Run! But stop all the fear and hate,
mama always said it's never too late.
O’ but we are all agreed
  that America don't need
a mindfu*ked Manchurian candidate!

The grass "dewed" in spring’s early morning shimmer
Upon a crocus lay an "alula" in the sun with a glimmer
A symbol of many flights on every "level" there is to be
Whether it be "solos" or those together, feeling free

Often at "noon" Robin hop across the sunny land
Their "stots" fun to watch, then so still they do stand
Summer brings the "pop" of fireworks in the sky to see
Hummingbirds, "kayak", cookouts and bumble bee

Fall for me can sometimes bring on a "doom mood"
As fun summer "sagas" end, squirrels scramble for food
Winter looms but "live not evil", for there is Christmas "Eve"
Followed by Christmas, a "tenet" most important to believe

For Laura

For Laura

She suffered in silence from the years of abuse
If not for the violence she felt of no use
She denied that her soul was addicted to pain
Inside she felt cold so her blue eyes would rain
She had beautiful dreams somewhere in her youth
Of being a queen then she discovered the truth
That love can go wrong if left up to a man
It will not be strong if it’s not part of God’s plan
Hope painted a picture with colors of laughter
Of missus and mister happily ever after
When he used to kiss her it encouraged her faith
The times he would hit her she didn’t feel safe
Through all the trouble she had time to conceive
Despite the struggle she just couldn’t leave
She knew in her heart things would only get worse
She accepted the dark blaming God for the curse
If not for her kids she’d give it all back
Thinking time won’t forgive what’s been done in the past
I wish I knew her before she was broken by man
To give these words to her so she’d understand
That a woman’s heart has one unique chance
She must use all her smarts when choosing a man
Not all of us can wear shiny armor
Some men you can’t trust they’d only harm her
But not to give up time can be a friend
You may have the Lord’s luck the next corner you bend
There is time for love you are still that queen
Ask the Father above and you’ll see what I mean
The beauty with in you will never fade
God has always been with you; He’s never delayed
I must remind you; you are His greatest gift
Don’t look behind and the pain won’t exist

Note To Self:

Don't cry,
It won't do any good.
Stop thinking of him,
The pain will only get worse.
Try not to remember,
You'll only hurt more.
Don't think of the way your hand fit into his perfectly,
Don't remember the way his eyes twinkled when he was happy.
Forget how he would get angry at whoever made you cry,
Forget his awesome smile, his warm hugs.
Shy away from his name,
Push him into the depths of your mind.
Move on, stop wallowing in self-pity.
It's not like you were going to be together forever.
Even if you thought you would be
Just forget all the days you spent together,
The amazing dates you had not so long ago.
Face it; he's not coming back.
Stand up straight, and walk forward.
Be brave.

It's Alright, I'M Okay

It's the hardest thing
I ever had to do
You asked me how I felt
And I lied to you

I can't tell you the truth
So I deal with the pain
But when I am alone
My tears fall like rain

So I said it's alright
And I said I'm okay
But I know it'll just get worse
Everyday

Cause I know you'll move on
Try to find someone new
Boy, just know that
I still love you

I know I make it hard
And I know I make hurt
But baby, you and I
Could make this work

I lie about how I feel
Everyday to you
Maybe this time
I should try the truth

So I’m gonna tell the truth
I ain’t gonna lie to you no more
I know you already left
But please walk back in the door

Cause I’m not alright
And I’m not okay
Now that you know the truth
Will it get better everyday?

Please don’t move on
Let me be your someone new
Boy I’m still
In love with you

I know I make it hard
And I know I make it hurt
But knowing you, you’ll find some way
To make us work

There you go
Giving me that look again
The way you make me feel
I’ll give it a ten

Now you’re back in my life
And you’re here to stop my tears
Baby when you hold me
You take away my fears

Please just hold me
And make me feel right
Now I hear you whispering
I love you, baby, good-night

It’s finally alright
And I’m finally okay
Boy, with you here
You take the pain away

And you didn’t move on
And I’m your someone new
And you know that I
Will always love you

I know I made it hard
And I know I made it hurt
But baby you and I
Made us work
