Best Fragment Poems
You wrapped me in your wings
As together we lay
Seven days in heaven
Before you flew away
I regret that moment
When first I saw your smile
I longed for forever
You only stayed a while
I'm left with no answers
You left me before dawn
Me the ugly duckling
Dreaming you were my swan
Yet some dreams are fleeting
No answers will be found
A heart can be broken
Without making a sound

Fragment contest
'Fragment of the soul'
A mighty unpleasant zephyr,
Slivered my soul into
fragments,
And blew away my most
valuable fraction.
Macrocosm became his
hostelery,
Having gained altruistic
radiance,
His silence became my
tribulation.
Snookered by lot of malarkey,
Hoveled in dismay and haggling
for aquittance,
I died a silent death every
moment.
Now that time promulgates my
totality,
As I rediscover that fragment of
my soul,
My mind rests in serenity and
content.
Just as I regain my thunder,
And manage to rise in bravado,
To live a life that I would
evince,
Now a denizen of desires and
aspirations!!
Written on 14/9/13
Just a fragment of forever
Inseminated in your look,
Like a softly spoken picture
In a golden scripture book,
Where the pages of remembrance
Have been written with my pen,
Though I know it changes nothing
I still gently say Amen.
Just a pause between existence
And the dreams that still return,
Of every way you smiled at me
When I just couldn’t learn,
Sometimes when one and one make three
And poetry turns grey,
I search the stars that searched my soul
Before I walk away.
Just a blank page in a notebook
Where life’s poetry cannot reach,
Though it cries within the darkness
Still it cannot see to teach,
All of those intermingled verses
Whispered in stanza yesterdays,
Even though the sun is shining
It is so cold in many ways.
The softness of a loving heart
Can make forever smile again,
And precious words from gentle souls
Stay warm within life’s cold and rain,
Along our beach sweet poetry
Is washed up on life’s golden sands,
To explain that really all in all
So much life really understands…
There was scent of a fire in the call of the wind
from a few blocks away, I could smell it today...
someone burning a pile, in this first day of fall
Leaves and debris, with smoke on the bend
It darkened the sky of the September light
with fragments of char, as dark as the night
It drifted our way, and into the breeze,
and it lifted the ash
that caught in the fray, bits fluttering down
then, onto our lawn, with fringes of gray
A scrap from the classifieds, of newspaper ads
A fragment, not burned, with a portion so sad
just a singe on the edge, on the fringe of my day
A scrap now was pending........and I dreaded the end
I read someone's query, and my worries were tossed
to the smoke-singed sureness, of a pet that had been lost
~
For those moments we had owned her, she was lost and alone
Hungry and howling, on that cold autumn day
It was a star-crossed encounter, a dachshund we had found
We would feed her, and bed her, had asked all around
and a with a few passing days.....she had found a new home.
Here in our hearts, becoming our own
A name we had chosen, she came when we called
but today ...now I know, she is not ours, at all...
The wind off the river, pushing paper and leaves
fragments of yesterday fluttering our way.........
Spinning on down, every twist, every turn
changing the moment......without being heard
Small bitter pieces are coming our way
changing small fragments, and the heart of today.

Far away from your precious moor,
I feel your thoughts call for my soul
and unclose me to heaven's door!
Can thoughts like yours divinely toll,
beguiling me onto your shore
like a god that reads from a scroll?...
“Each experience is locked within my heart and only I hold the key..."
A tiny bird trapped and longing to be free
To fly amongst those vibrant clouds
To finally shun away from dark deep doubts...
Of not being there, of being so far away
In those last days that she would silently pray~~
To see my face and feel my arms
And hold me tenderly and smile at my charm"""
And tell me stories of young and old
Though I have heard it a million times, as she has told
But alas I was aiming too high
Had no time to love or sigh
Until the day the fateful call came
And in a flash from two, one I became..........

For Constance “A Fragment of Life” contest
(for George Ehusani)
When minority
Threatens majority;
Self-solidarity
Divorces reality,
These in a community
Depict dilapidation of the society
And decadence of integrity
Of humanity
In every country!
And maybe
I was just the sunset you ran to
When he wasn't around
Things will be great in two weeks
Foretold, ordained, and promised by my Gaia's wisdom.
With this ring, I her wed
Betrothed, bewitched, smitten and bitten
I plaintively appeal
And foreswearing poor science I lean on intuition's incalculable import
And offer this corpus indelecti as a sacrifice
On the altar of her breast.
Inside my bosom
where heart be kept
I confound you there
with all my care.
I etched your name
in the white page of my mind.
You floats in
Heart-beat,
my heart's-blood
And your smile is the key
to open the courtyard of my heart.
The love of oxygen with air
fish and water
As the moss love
in the deep ocean
against turbulent flow
the cruel rock-plate!
I will love you like the lichen.
As the bird believes in
love of air...
Night believes in stars
I trust you
like the hooded-serpent
hold poison-gland.

Staring in disbelief
Heart thumping
Pulse racing
Trying to speak
But unable to make a sound
Wondering if I am dreaming
It cannot be reality…
…Surely
Why me?
Why not me?
No, there must be some mistake
I recall my past
Happiness and heartbreak
Life will never be the same again
I find my voice and shout:
‘YES!’
*I got pretty excited to win a tenner on the lottery, LOL

Once upon then
Only men wrote haiku;
Jane broke trends when?

Eulogy lines
Fate oversees;
Suicide note
~~~~~~~~~
Death by choice
Broken by water;
Drowning excavation
Famous haiku poet
Pain drowns life;
Fibromyalgia
~~~~~~~~~
So much reason
Drowns ripe season;
Decay instructs
~~~~~~~~~
Pain gathers more
More than enough;
Death cascades store
~~~~~~~~~
Words feel strange
Strange pain reflex;
A drowning dance
~~~~~~~~~
Sad feels so true
Siren sings the blues;
Stray thoughts of you
~~~~~~~~~
Dawn reveals
A new hymn here;
Light elevates

Purpose plans
Passion acts;
Death attends

To create more
Destroy old scores;
Construct new yarn

Sad misery weeps
Sober strange sleep;
Dreamy moments creep
~~~~~~~~~
Craft in sure draft
Simple words sum;
Draft upon craft
~~~~~~~~~
Mortal fate hangs
Noose upon pain;
A broken brief
~~~~~~~~~
Well-lived life
Words on water;
Quitting par excellence
~~~~~~~~~
If you must know:
Exit speaks hush;
Unfinished business
~~~~~~~~~
Last page stolen
Forfeit that urge;
Pain suffocates reach
~~~~~~~~~
Joy knows a way
Construct destruct;
Forced full-stop embossed
~~~~~~~~~
Here lives lines
Story fragment torn;
No more pain perhaps?
~~~~~~~~~
Words urge
Worth tiles;
Craft smiles
~~~~~~~~~
Quest suspended
Last page unsung;
Abrupt page break
~~~~~~~~~
Simple lines stray
Words cannot stay;
Feel new strokes play

No word can tell, no pen can describe the
beauty of my one true love,
Finist the Falcon.
After erupting ache at the first,
the silence curled in the chest
One fragment of life,
I became a wife,
Nice day for a black wedding,
I 'achieved' a golden ring,
Did I marry for housework?
Is divorce all it's worth?
Way back when I was a wife,
One fragment of my life.
