Best Four Corners Of The Earth Poems

One and three are 4;
nothing is unlucky about the number 13.

three and one or one and three;
it adds up to 4,
 when reduced to a singular digit.

Numerology reveals the truth about things
and four is a healthy number.

The mystery of 13, is that so much can be conjured,
in the human imagination.

four is power;
four corners of the Earth have four angels,
to watch over them.

Four leaf clovers are lucky;
the power of fortune,
is a strong faith that manifests.

four branches complete the circle of the celtic cross;
all crosses are four-limbed.

Four aspects, are the colors on the medicine wheel;
offering healing, to those who comprehend its gifts.

Four is wholeness;
one and three, three and one;
four is the offspring of the 13.

Divide it by twos and see the a duality of all revealed.

Here's my philosophy for what it's worth

Not the first time I've expressed my outlook on life

The stress of modern every day living

Is showing on the faces of people in the street

All with cell phones plastered to their ears

Oblivious to the world around them

A cold breeze has enveloped our very existence

No longer the friendly greetings we once expressed

We're totally wrapped up in the complexities

That have been thrust upon us

It's an exciting age of amazing technology

The much more simpler days of years gone by

Are gone forever never to return

Each generation longs for their past

A feeling of nostalgia grips us as we age

Wishing to relive the exuberant days of our youth

But time marches on relentlessly

As I sit here at my powerful computer

Messaging faceless people in the four corners of the earth

Like others, I tend to forget this is an amazing age

But it's only the latest chapter

Of countless more chapters to follow

Our minds can't conceive where this will all lead

The only thing that's certain is progress

So be ready to be amazed

The future is filled with untold exciting new adventures

That our minds can't conceive or even imagine

It's a exciting time to be alive

Lost In Confusion

Lost in confusion

A scar time will never heal,
A scar dangling in the hands of fate,
Take a glance at all four corners of the earth,
Some are filled with boundless joy at someone’s birth,
Yet some are grieving over someone’s death,
Some are drowning in the murky waters of starvation,
Yet some are winning and dinning in ululation,
I am lost in confusion.

Few woke up to a fancy bubble bath,
Millions to a bath at a local river,
Some countries are in the middle of bloody wars,
Whilst some are concluding peace treaties,
Some lovers are making up.
Yet some are breaking up,
Someone is trapped in the misery of tribulation,
Someone in the loneliness of isolation,
Yet someone is hogging the limelight
Cloistered in the world of fame

Some people are harmful, some helpful,
Some chose the ballot, some the bullet,
People love without reason, without reason they hate,
The heart that hurts beats the scar,
The scar of the mystery of life
The secret is to persevere,
To be better today than you were yesterday,
It’s better to die great than live grieving,
So I’ve been told and so I believe.

144,000 Sealed

144,000 Sealed

“1After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3“Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” 4Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.” Rev 7:1-4 NIV

Sealed for the Day of Judgment;
Untouched by the seven last plagues;
A seal placed on their foreheads;
12,000 from each of the twelve tribes.
Seals contain three elements—
The owner, title and jurisdiction [territory];
All found in the fourth commandment,
In honor of the Lord’s creation.

The 144,000 are the first fruits,
Followed by a great multitude,
That no man can number;
All praising God in deep gratitude.
They have washed their robes
In the precious blood of the Lamb;
Come out of great tribulation;
Held on faithfully to the great I AM.

The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath [Mark 2:28],
That was made holy for man’s blessing.
The 144,000 acknowledged the covenant;
Man’s traditions were not observing.
They did not worship the ‘beast and his image’ [Rev 14:12,9],
But obeyed their Lord instead;
Had a knowledge of history and biblical truth;
Not by men’s Mithraic fables led.

In the sealing of the 144,000,
There’s no Replacement Theology,
But one complete ‘new man’,
Holding to the same ideology.
Those who accept the true Sabbath
And believe in Christ as their Savior;
Jew and Gentile led by the Holy Spirit;
Their Father in heaven to honor!

Bible Study

The earth was void and without form…
And the voice of the Lord was upon the waters…

	In the roll of a tsunami wave across the Pacific
	Born of a collapsing mountain deep in the sea
	And in the tidal surge bearing down on Mobile
	Miles ahead of an approaching storm.

You sweep away people as if they were but a dream.
In the morning they are like the new grass.

	It was no dream to those on board an oil platform in the Gulf
	Torn from its moorings by a raging sea.
	It was no dream to a family huddled in their attic
	Watching the flood waters rise.

But the voice of the Lord was not in the whirlwind.

	It was not in the flood waters from Lake Pontchartrain.
	It was not in the crashing tidal waves or the leaking levees.
	It was not in the spinning devastation of the hurricanes.
	Or the incessant pounding of torrential rains.

God gave Noah the “rainbow sign”.
Never again will I destroy the world.

	Already life returns, bit by bit, to New Orleans.
	Trash-filled streets are cleared, tattered storefronts mended.
	Flooded homes pumped clear and families reunited.
	Alligators return to their normal homes
	While the people rebuild theirs along the waterfront.

I will gather the exiles from the four corners of the Earth.

	From the Astrodome and Air Force bases,
	From Red Cross shelters and tent cities,
	And from the homes of strangers.

And they shall rebuild the waste cities and inhabit them.
They shall plant vineyards and drink of their wine.

	The tourist hotels on the beaches of Phuket,
	Fishing villages on the shores of Indonesia,
	And the bars on Bourbon Street.

The sound of music and rejoicing shall be heard once more in the land.

	They will celebrate Mardi Gras again on the streets of New Orleans
	With the sounds of sweet jazz drifting from the “French Quarter”.
	Boats shall sail once more from the port of Jakarta
	And sailors will look out upon a tranquil sea.

Only time will tell the outcome of this rhyme,
Whether it will succeed in the nick of time.
So better safe than sorry, as they say,
A good beginning makes a good ending, I pray.

I’ll write a little bit of this and a little bit of that,
All fingers and thumbs as I lay down my hat,
Better safe than sorry - the acid test,
I’m as busy as a bee and I’ll give it my best.

If the poems voted up I’ll be as pleased as punch,
Or back to basics because there’s no free lunch.
Between you, me and the bedpost I’m hoping for the best,
That it proves head and shoulders above the rest.

With luck it reaches the four corners of the Earth,
For I’ll give my right arm for some literacy worth.
I dream that the votes might go through the roof,
That I’m not hung out to dry as a poetic spoof.

I’m not asking the Earth and it could just be pot luck,
Whether this is a raving success or as dead as a duck.
Will this win an award? Yeah, in your dreams!
This could be the end of the line, it seems.

Writing this poem’s not all sweetness and light!
It’s a long shot trying to get this right.
Just have to keep my pants on, cross my fingers and all,
That it takes the world by storm and I’m not in free fall.

I can only hope I knock it out of the park,
That it’s not just a stab in the dark.
Last be not least let me bend your ear,
For this opportunity doesn’t knock twice I fear.

I’ll leave you with something to chew on my friend,
It isn’t rocket science, we all get there in the end.
It might be a white knuckle ride at times,
But you can leave your mark with a poetic rhyme.

Premium Member Magic Words of Peace

If I could conjure up a magical spell
It would cause the world’s wars to cease
The exact phrases I’d utter I cannot tell
But they would be magic words of peace.

Simple as that, I would utter the refrain
Casting it to the four corners of the earth,
Repeating it over and over and over again
With all the fervor I’ve known from birth.

I’d ask magical powers, those of sound mind
To unite with me in this marvelous pursuit,
Relieving all the sufferings of whatever kind
Never would there ever be war – absolute!

No child in the world would ever be a refugee
Or hurt, or suffer the horrors of aerial assault,
So, I…I will cry out my magic spell immediately
Let no one who is innocent be held at fault.

I wander the desert alone with my thoughts
as the sun beating down sssizzles my soul;
I ponder the reflections of my barren life,
and thirst for the knowledge
of where I went wrong.

The dreams I once held have all vanished with the dust,
blown away to the four corners of the earth.
And now I feel that I’m surrounded by jackals
patiently waiting for me to give in;
hungry to feast on the fruits of my life.

Far in the distance I see a jack rabbit
scampering forward to a lush oasis
filed with the bountiful dreams of my youth.
Wandering wearily toward the oasis of my dreams,
I wonder if my life is just a mirage.

And still the sun sssizzles my soul.

Corners of the Earth

shout to the north the east the south and the west
shout it out that Jesus is the best
may our voices travel afar
for God touches hearts no matter where you are
in the valley of dry bones far away
God made them flesh and were restored back to life that day
there is nothing he can not do
to all the people from the corners of the earth
God can restore and heal you
sing to the north the east the south and the west
sing it out that Jesus is the best
tell of his miracles and sing of his wonders too
there is nothing that he can not do
he will hear you when you call
 for Jesus is saviour to all. Amen

Crossroads

Crossroads

You will never see them coming
Yes, the crossroads
Where you have to choose
Choose a new road to tread in
Lose what you thought could be "forever"

I don't want to turn over a new leaf
The "If" ,no ,I don't want to think about it
So I remain stuck at the junction
I auction all my better days to the sands of time
Time will tell

So I choose to live the moment
My decision?
Don't comment
How can one just get rid of so easily?
Dear Thought don't judge me
You ought to understand
Understand I'm human too
I might be sulking,
Gulping ocean waters so sour
But life playing its mind games on me,
Pass by the hour
I find myself in need of the candy too

Handy? I know the winds will be
Will push me to choose
Until then, I will live by the little strength left within
I will watch them,
The roads
Their vastness
Spreading out to the four corners of the earth
For now, I choose not to move

I Will Have My Woman, One Day

I've seen my brother
walking the four corners of the Earth.
In search for something new, or possibly
Someone new.

I've seen the desperate men,
With their heads full with hair,
and dressed in fancy and expensive suits,
bark like dogs when young women roll by.
They do not care what people think of them,
...Just like dogs.

I sit at my window, and peek my head out.
I see the desperate men putting on shows for naive girls.
I sit at my window,
waiting for that one day.
That one knock upon my door,
but so far nothing in hopes of me
falling in Love.

Still I wait.
I see foolish girls falling for dogs,
Who wake the next morning with flees and the dog no where in sight,
and I laugh, huh!
But the dogs bark at me for laughing.

Still I wait.
I do not worry for my time with Love will come.
See tat it is a soft, October night
A true woman will come and pay me a visit with a knock upon my door.

Not just any old woman.
A woman with class,
Who is longing for a man,
Who will love her back,
She will be kind and gentle.

She will come one day,
mabye in the month of May, June or July,
Then I will have the last laugh and say over those dogs,
Who barked at me.

I will have my woman, one day!

My Search

To the four corners of the earth
I will never give up my search
For my one and only true love
An attraction that fits like a glove

Until I find that admiration
My search is an exploration
Till my queen is in my arms
Electrified from my charms

Happiness is a thousand to one
As soon as my search is done
Happily ever after it goes
Like a newly blossomed rose

An Explanation of Sunday By Terry Cooper of England

Day 159 of A SNOWBALL for PEACE Another chance to make a difference.

It is Sunday and death knows no rest on days of rest as Sunday is supposed to be.

If Sunday really was supposed to be a day of rest, surely God would have arranged for death to have a rest too, the Grim Reaper really is a little hard done by isn't he? Having to work seven days a week, day and night.

How many Grim Reapers are there? Do they work in shifts and if so what are the hours? It is a sure thing people are going to die today on this Sunday and grief will spread like a well worn cloak over the four corners of the Earth.

Touching so many souls! Should we be sad about that, or glad about that? I do not know yet, but I am sure I will in the fullness of time.

Perhaps Sunday should be dying day? If heaven is such a good place to go to, it would make sense for us all to die on a holy day wouldn't it? But then there are so many folk dying daily, it would create a log jam at the checking in desk, wouldn't it!

Still if I could I would like to slow the rate of death down a little, I don't want too many people or spirits beating me up there before their time. To that end:-

The Anchor of my soul

I anchor my soul in the middle of the sea
And big ships come chasing after me
It is the place where you don’t want to be
when big waves are riding on the sea and
You are boxed into the four corners of the earth
And the universe is slowly drifting away from you

Awake from your slumber
oh dying souls, take a deep breath and
release the stagnant air,
and replenish your soul

Depart from the woeful solitude of time
and embrace yourself with good news
shut the door of isolation in its face
and join the living human race
look for a new companion,
and let go of the manipulative one
the world is big and a hundred thousand
 person is waiting to take your hand

Tomorrow is the start of a brand new day
and good things are coming your way
take a moment to think,
 how things would have been
 if you had not anchored your soul
In the middle of the depth.

Somewhere in the middle of the sea
something special is waiting for thee
place your heart above your head
dnd observe the passing ship
It is the hopeful anticipation that pulls
you to that special one
 and destiny will take your hand

Look at the planes flying above your head
they are on a special mission to bury the dead
A multitude of crows are crusading in the skies
and the monarch butterflies are standing by
with a message from the ancestor, urging you
to cross over the border and walk through the garden
where the honeybees are pollinating the flowers

Nature is beautiful when you glimpse it from afar
so get ready for a special journey that will resurrect
you from the dark, far away in the perilous sea
a ship is anchored and it is waiting for thee.

A plane devoid of noises
Within a darkened cave
No words of consolation
Assuage the rants and raves

Awareness unattended
Has obfuscated will
But fluid through the fingers
Puts ink into the quill

She roars across forever
Four corners of the earth
The Alabama legend
Has made their voices heard
