Best Forcefully Poems
With the onset of advancing age, so I find,
A man grows weary of all mundane talk;
Occupies his every spare, idle thought
With that of the slow, reflective kind.
Regretful of many a squandered hour,
Turning his back on the squabbling nations,
Their woeful, self-serving deliberations,
Dreams wistfully of his own starlit tower.
Should he hopefully find that blessed stair,
Wound insides of the ancient, dim lit wall,
Where tread from unseen feet sometimes fall,
He could but elevate himself above his cares;
There, throwing his soul upon the night,
Lift his gaze upon a tumultuous crowding!
His thinning pate adorned with a crowning
From a far-flung, pale, distant light.
And if he was to fix his mind upon that point;
To that moment forcefully bring to bear,
With every ounce of fibre when stood there,
An unremitting will to somehow exploit,
That, which, the mystics so jealously guarded...
Then, perhaps, he might too ascend?
For, in all reality, at the very end,
All is thrown off...the very body discarded.
Therefore I will choose my own finality.
I give my remaining days to old worn steps
Enclosed in rock, a turret that silhouettes
Against an endless sky; and if it should be
That I find such hallowed battlements
Give aging legs the strength to slowly climb,
To praise the celestial and sublime,
When reaching up where my God frequents.
For though those stars seem out of reach,
Unattainable by grand, omnipotent design,
Nevertheless I am thusly to be inclined
To offer up a prayer and unto him beseech:-
"Immortal father who created mortal man,
Ye who sits above all earthly thrones,
Give unto me old tools and rubbled stones,
And I shall endeavour to do what I can...
To rebuild that abandoned, crumbled tower...
For, Lord, be it only by dreams men are
Truly empowered"!
In the beginning it is just a lovely cloud
Collin comes across her in the coffee house
One of his friends calls his attention
Look, your mom is here, let’s go elsewhere
A descent of birds pecking at his brain
The cloud he keeps looking at for quite a while
The face and the figure look like his
He goes to the toilet to look into the mirror
The semblance he sees is a puzzling wonder
The birds dance and sing in tumultuous chorus
His friend confounded when he is told
Collin does not know who his mother is
He had been adopted when he was just two
The lady too looks at them off and on
When a bridge comes up none can say
The next few hours he passes in a daze
Is the quest for four years going to succeed
Is the cloud preordained for the sudden rain
Or it is just a fortuitous resemblance
But then isn’t it an exactly mirror image
Returning home Collin scrutinizes himself again
In the mirror he finds the same chiseled face
The same desirous dreamy eyes, head full of hair
He recites poems and talks to himself
Same grace radiates from the daffodils
The plant with the flowers hangs in the air
The charm and the fragrance are irresistible
He craves to rush forward and hug it tight
And flood the flower with crimson kisses
The scented air stays elusive nonetheless
Collin says everything to his adopted parents
They are very glad and cooperate to get to the truth
There would be no problem in living all together
Collin laughs and says very forcefully
The twenty two years old son is no more an introvert
When the magnet works in the very stem cells
The eventual fusion is inevitable obviously
She takes him to her apartment
She lives alone her husband dead
No shadow of children nowhere in the rooms
Thousand wasps biting inside his head
The pain is traumatic for the hidden truth
Light and dark interchange day after day
Poems of love keep churning the two hearts
Drama outside and a flood within
The day DNA test confirms the gene
The two intermingle to a river serene

Why is life so difficult?
All the time I wonder,
Why I stand against lightening
But I cower from the thunder.
Lightening is life.
It’s what causes me to make a choice.
The sweet yet forceful sound
Of thunder is the sound of your voice.
When I cry my endless tears,
Why does my heart forcefully bleeds?
Why am I constantly torn
Between my wants and my needs?
I have only one want
But my needs are what I need to do.
If my needs help hold a better
Than I want to need you.
My heart says it can
Take any blow she will throw,
But can I really trust my heart?
I don’t know.
I want the sweeter things in life
But I need the bitter.
If my wants lead me to death
Then I need to be with her.
My adored is here, Oh Vincent!
Charming with your perfume's scent
not minding if it costs just 50 cent.
Wishing to lean on you
and form a crescent
on your well endowed body
which is like an expensive present.
Stealing a kiss from me is decent
but pulling me back
and forcefully keeping my legs bent;
even with my resistance,
you would not relent
makes you a pathetic Dog 100 percent.
And I am regretful of my time badly spent.
I escaped, when you were a little complacent
as you rudely smiled
like a badly trained Adolescent.
And all these while,
I thought you were innocent.
How dare you try to penetrate
without passing through my consent?
Now that the beast in you, you represent,
the only thing I have to say to you
is REPENT!

Do not say yes when you mean to say no
Why would you carry the luggage of lies?
Sing; sing a sincere song wherever you go.
Many murderers toil to shun their shadow
Their deeds are not hidden, like the star in
the skies
Do not say yes when you mean to say no.
Live to love; become someone’s pillar and
pillow
Save a soul from the night’s fiery flies,
Sing; sing a sincere song wherever you go.
The wicked forcefully reap where they did
not sow,
The lord will arise and dry your dripping
eyes,
Do not say yes, when you mean to say no.
So many are wallowing in want and woe,
They were ravaged by rulers, who were
secret spies,
Sing; sing a sincere song wherever you go.
Even if the stormy seas make you sick and
slow
All you need do is to shake off the chains
and arise;
Do not say yes when you mean too say no,
Sing; sing a sincere song wherever you go.
I listen to the young men
in their black turtlenecks
who spit their consonants forcefully
in cryptic metaphors
about the state of the world.
Their work makes me think.
I guess this means it is good.
But I will never be
one of the edgy poets.
The sight of a bare tree
tugs on my soul,
and the stones whisper to me,
and I must write
about the lonely winter rain
and the cherry blossoms –
in softer voice,
simpler words,
a few lines to sketch
the small, quiet wonders
I so love.

Like the moon in the sky at the break of night
Like the trees in the rainforest with its forcefully height
Like the cat in the grass prancing at day
Like the child in school dancing away
Like bee’s on flowers that are terribly bright
Like a sunflower leaning towards the light
Like the love bird and there morning song
You and I just belong.
Insane
Defiantly I admonish you to just leave me alone,
Stop following me incessantly like a rowdy foe.
How forcefully must I tell, you've lost your soul,
Your sinister ways to love me I do not condone.
You shadow my presence everywhere I go
Blatantly invading every peaceful place I know.
Lurking around my private life in public places,
Posting online photos and ugly lewd messages.
If you're ever spotted at my kids' school again
You can be sure I will file a police complaint,
Quite often have I warned you to back away
Yet you keep treating me like I'm your prey.
One day you called my wife on a falls pretense,
Now you treat her like she's your best friend
Spreading lies intently to prejudice her mind
Encroaching on our daily lives in ways unkind.
You joined our church, though you live far away,
I hear you'll volunteer at school every Monday.
Now I am distressed by your manipulative ways,
Prompting me to take action to deter your sway.
At the height of insanity you finally lost control,
Quite appropriately you must soon pay a toll
As you sit in jail awaiting sentence for your crime
For you tried to hire a hit-man to kill my wife.

When tears dry up and laughter is not funny any longer
As duvet feathers grind the weary soul to sunken skin
The parchments dehydrated canvas folds the poet’s path
A cliche strewn among the notion ‘it will make you stronger’
Depicts an empty victory pretends to gather strength and win
The prelude of the past in future remains a lonely aftermath
Gone are the days of jolly frolic of showers gelled and Turkish bath
Of journeys tickling monumental Derwish’s allegoric spin
Despairing anger cannot shed an inner war’s destructive monger
With memories and wreaths of praise and laurel turned into wrath
Then conjoined before and after numbness seems your next of kin
A magic oriental carpet’s washed out fabric evaporates inside her
An ancient pleasure cruise shrouded in silence’s muted fanfare
Sails of plain cloth mystery weather worn in droplet’s silent fall
Its time and place and time-place for scented oriental candles
To rekindle a mosaic of epic proportions a glancing care from scare
From feeling so minutely small and festered no recipe for standing tall
Yet seeds of cinnamon and hope might just reset this hold of strangle
Meditation reclusive pastures enlightenment from darkness’ bangle
Retrieved from imposed prison shackles to praise to heal and call
‘I want to be the muezzin once more sing forcefully in ink and dare’
Climb my minaret resolve cacophony write messages to Self and strangle
All those demons massage my dreams and foresight grab the haul
Then conquer quietly as time proceeds ‘I know I can in solemn prayer’
i've always been the one to walk away first.
always kept my heart locked down deep.
i was always the one the boys wanted to wife,
and always the one girl to never want anyone.
i'm always the one to latch on to one.
Always the one to build a home in others.
do you understand what it means
to need someone so tenderly?
so forcefully and demanding.
i'm too harsh for my own heart.
i don't give myself a real chance
to be something truly great.
i thought finding warmth
in the empty holes of your heart
was how real love was meant be.
i thought the holes were there to be filled.
but your trenches are just warnings
to all new lovers lost in your eyes.
and the hollow words i mistook for real love.
what happened to our future?
was it ever really ours?
did you know all along
it would be yours alone?
who will come after me?
do you ever think about if this is forever?
was the last kiss really the last?
was the last fight it?
what if the last time
was the last time to say those words
that will destroy me til the end?
and don't ask my how my day is going.
it is the same as the week and the month.
any time without you isn't really time at all.
is this the last time i will have to say "i'm sorry"?
i shouldn't have made you my home.
but i just cannot believe
that we won't do the same things
we did just a month ago.
and i still take your back roads
when i get my morning coffee,
even though i always get lost.
sometimes i cry the whole car ride, alone.
and when i am getting wasted,
you better bet i'm on the best stuff,
because i know how much you'd love it.
to see me doing fine on my own.
i always want to make you proud
even if you aren't happy with me.
is this the last time to say those words?
the ones' that took all i had to offer.
maybe to you is it.
i'm always the one to walk away first
but babe you were different.
and i'm not quite sure how to deal.
when you tell me you'll love me forever
but can never see us always together
i get scared thinking you're doing fine
with my expected loyalty in the back of your mind.
Oh how we depend on lies
From whether or not you clean your room
Or how late you stayed up
But my lies, oh how my lies are different
More twisted, dark, and complicated
Such as “I’m not hungry”
I’m starving
Or “I’ve already ate”
I haven’t ate in 4 days
Or “I’m happy”
My happiness is as empty as a Sahara desert
Prowling around with many predators
Equipped with the Strengths of Depression, anxiety
Or perhaps “Oh I’m just wearing a hood because it’s a bit chilly!”
The truth is the night before I forcefully slid the blade across my flesh
To feel something other than heartbreak
You see, lies either wound us or make us profit
Oh how we depend on lies.
And oh how they deceive us
I was born a female
You were born a male
None of us had a say in the matter of our birth
Neither did we chose from what part of this earth
For in His own image we were created
From the day of our birth
Our differences were laid bare
From the onset, our paths were set
Same community, same culture
Just because of a different genetic makeup
My chores were many even from that early age
From sunrise to sunset
Do this, do that
Duties allocated differently
Yet very unpropotionate
Like a flower I grew
Well watered and aired
Closely monitored and censored
Under the watchful eyes of the female folk I grew
Until my world came crashing down
My identity was not my own
My success measured by another
My dreams given a barely there nod
Then dismissed altogether
Seen as not important
I was viewed as property
A measure of wealth
An item to be passed on from one to another
A vessel for the pleasure of others
Like goods in a marketplace I was traded
Just before I blossomed
The bud that was me
Was forcefully opened
My petals recklessly plucked away
Just before I was to share my beauty with the world
My colour and fragrance was vanquished
What wrong did i do?
That I am treated differently
That my dreams and purpose in life
To you does not matter
An item of trade to you I am.
I scream and cry in silence
In constant pain my days pass by
With scars that have not healed
Despite the physical pain years ago
What wrong did I do?
I will stay silent no more
With a loud voice I will say no more
In my actions the practice will be no more
From harmful cultural practices
Join me in saying 'No more!'
I am a curled up comma
When I sleep, so give me pause.
I’m sentenced to insomnia
Which grips me in its clause.
I’m subject to a poor night’s rest;
That’s predicated on
The fact that I have tossed and turned
Each night that’s come and gone.
Don’t question if I’m in control
Or I’ll get out of joint
And answer very forcefully
With exclamation point.
The night’s a restless period
And though I barely sleep,
My colon and its semi-friends
My secrets somehow keep.
The sea was a whisper before it was water,
cleaved through the wind.
I stepped into its silver mouth,
waves curling something pressing in
a wistful longing for a past I never knew.
Seagulls traced ethereal designs across the expanse
their wails scattered like fragments.
Somewhere underneath the foam,
the past was fossilized within sedimentary strata
waiting for my hands to delve deep enough to find it.
The tide came in more forcefully
and I thought of to how love in this way
always arriving, always leaving---
sometimes tender, sometimes intense enough
to split the coast in two.
When it ebbed, it left behind more than remnants of a disaster,
it embodied the ideal I sought;
calmed by the steady undulations of the sea,
gleaming in calmness;
as if the tide dredged up
on the verge of being forgotten.
You were gone as quickly as you appeared.
One moment you were walking back into my life, a bit more weathered, much more grey, but you still had those eyes that saw right through me. You stood there as I fumbled for the words to say after 8 long years and before I could catch my breath, I felt every moment I had gone without you melt away. Like watching an old home video, the nostalgia washed over me like a tidal wave and just like that, I felt the warm edges of love in my chest. You would think it would be uncomfortable or awkward to love again so suddenly, so forcefully, yet I stood steadfast with belief in you once again. Years of conditioning a cold heart, forgotten in an instant. You made me feel a joy and an electricity that I no longer felt was in my grasp. And as quickly as you walked through the doors you turned and left again. You were a tornado of emotion that destroyed every wall I built up around me. You came and you took and you left. They tell me it’s better sooner than later but I wonder if this kind of pain can grow any wider in my chest. I could have held my breath longer than you stayed, and dear god I wish I had.
